Polly rolls her eyes at Narcissa's back, ignoring her comments because rude sounding comments weren't worth her time sometimes.

"I was wondering when you might turn up. Now the party can really start," he says as he places a hand on the one she's placed on his arm. "I was just getting to know Polly a bit better while I waited for you to get here," he says as he sends a wink towards Polly.

Narcissa smirks, content with his answer. She looks back at Polly innocently. "Oh, and what have you two been talking about? Tell me about yourself, Polly. You seem like such an interesting person." As we all know, interesting is synonymous with 'ugly-faced', 'tacky', and 'filthy'. "I'm afraid I don't even know your last name. What is it?"

Polly snorts and folds her arms across her chest. "I'd talk about myself to someone who was eenterested, zanks. Don't want to waste my time." Polly had had to deal with too much harassment and bullying in her time - especially at Beauxbaton Academy- to put up with this girl. "As for my last name, eef you really want to know, it's Delacour."

Narcissa looks quite offended. She's so offended that she is now looking at the non-existent dirt in her nails. "Oh, well I have no idea what made you think that I wasn't interested, because I totally did not intend to come off that way." Non-truth teller, non-truth teller, your trousers are aflame. "Dealcour? Never heard of it." She looked Polly up and down. "Nice dress. It really suits you."

Polly's eyebrows are raised and she has to hold herself back from rolling her eyes again. "Maybe you should work on your inflection zen, cause your words said one theeng but your voice was saying somezing else." She blinks at Narcissa's compliment. "Well...zanks, I guess."

Narcissa twirled a lock of hair around her finger with pursed lips. "Really? I do believe my message got across just perfectly." She flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Yes, it suits you very well. You see, you're both terribly tacky and just don't know when to give up!" She spoke as if explaining something to a small child. "You see, that dress should have given up at the ruffles. And you should have given up because this man right here? He's mine, and you have absolutely no chance with him." She took a step towards Polly and looked her up and down, judging her even further. "Which, in the event that English is your second language, basically means that you're tacky and I hate you. So back off."

Polly blinks then glares at the other girl. "Well, aren't you pleasant. I'd give you a better reply, but zere's no way you're even worth eet." She turns on her heel, flipping her hair over her shoulder which hits Cissa in the face, and storms off.

Lucius checks out Polly's arse as she leaves before turning his attention to Narcissa, pulling her onto his lap before it gets cold now that Polly's not there. "Well, that wasn't very nice," he said, though the grin on his face said that he didn't really mind at all. He'd make it up to Polly somehow. Later. But right now, he had Miss. Narcissa Black on his lap and to a Malfoy, that's quite a big deal.

"What an unpleasant girl," Narcissa said, curling her lip in disgust as she was hit in the face by Polly's hair. "I could practically feel the split ends on my cheeks." She looked at Lucius now with a pout as she was pulled on to his lap. "I hope I didn't upset you, with what just happened and all." Well, she was sorry of its effect on Lucius. Not sorry she did it. It felt bloody amazing, after all.

Narcissa smiled, a real smile this time, rather than one of the fake ones she would slip on when talking to other people. "It's been uneventful, really. I went out for a bit before coming here, which was a very nice time. Some man named Robert, who I met in Hogsmeade the other night met me at some restaurant there. Then, I got back, showered once more, got dressed, and here I am!" She lifted one of his hands in to her own and began to play with it idly, sinking in to his chest. "I have to say, I like you much better."

Lucius finds himself becoming extremely jealous of this Robert fellow but grins when Narcissa reassures him that he's much better. "And I'm sure his hair was nothing compared to mine," he said with a smirk. "Don't you know that you're a Black? And my favorite Black, nonetheless. You deserve only the best, and it doesn't get much better than me," he grins as he twirls her hair around his finger, using the hand that she isn't holding.

"Naturally," Narcissa says, leaning her head back against his chest, angled so she could see his face. "You know, you're just the sweetest ever." Because, in her opinion anyway, vanity is one of Lucius's very endearing qualities. "So, you haven't told me what your evening has been like. How has it been, save for the tacky blonde, I suppose?"

Lucius smirks and gently plays with her hair, being careful so he doesn't mess it up because that would be horrific. Sweet, now that's something he's not used to being called. Ever. "My evening? Pretty uneventful other than Polly. I must say though, I was rather disappointed when I didn't see you here at first," he says with that charming smile of his, though she can't really see it because she's got her head on his chest.

Narcissa giggled and shifted so she was now facing him. Sure, she may have been straddling him, but that wasn't really going through her mind at the moment. "Did you now?" She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I've been very upset these past few days. I haven't been seeing you much."

It's going through Lucius' mind, and Lucius likes very much. He smiled as she tucked the hair behind his ear, not scolding her for touching because he understands that Narcissa knows all about hair care and he trusts her with his golden blonde locks. "Have you? Well that's no good. Everyone needs their daily dose of Lucius, and being my favorite Black sister is a big deal. That gives you the privilege of getting more Lucius time than everybody else, did you know?"

Narcissa laughed and her hands curled around his neck, hanging there happily. "Do I, now?" She asked, coyly. For a moment, the thought of kissing him passed her mind, but she threw it out. Not only would initiating the kiss be awkward for her, but quite honestly, she didn't really deserve Lucius. Therefore, she had no right to kiss him. "I think Polly needs to know that, then. I think you two are spending more time together than we are." Of course, the casual way she said this didn't really reveal her hurt at this fact. To be honest, she felt incredibly threatened by Polly, and if they had been spending more time together than she and Lucius had, then there was a problem there.

"You think so? Well, that needs to be changed. I can't be spending more time with her than you. I wouldn't want my dear Narcissa to get the wrong impression, would I?" he asked with a smile, his eyes flickering to Narcissa's lips momentarily before returning to her pretty eyes. He could have kissed her easily, knowing she'd return it. But there was something holding him back. Narcissa was a Black. She was worth more than a random hookup and he couldn't risk losing her. He'd have to make sure he did things right because for all he knew, he could be proposing to her by the end of the year. His parents had been pestering him the past few months about finding a proper wife after all. "Well then, I guess I'm going to have to be seeing much more of you before you run off to spend time with Robert, eh?"

Narcissa's hands slid down to his upper arms as he spoke. "Robert's very nice," she looked Lucius in the eyes as she spoke. "But I'm afraid he's not quite my type. My type is more... Sophisticated." Her lips curled into a smirk. "Handsome, of course. And much more blonde." Her hands went to his hair and toyed with it, gently so as to not mess it up. She knew how he was about hair, after all. First hand experience, right here.

Illie had been standing here awkwardly for the past hour or so. She was pretty much lurking in the shadows like a creep. She knew it was a bad idea to come here, like anyone would want to talk to her. She was a loser, plain and simple. She slide out from where she had been half hiding and walked as fast as she could back to her dorm.

Lucius closed his eyes for a moment, content with letting Narcissa play with his hair. "Hm. I think I know a guy who fits that description. You have good taste, you know. Very specific," he smirked. "I like that. You know exactly what you want, and that, Miss Black, is a quality I like in a woman. But the thing with your standards, well, I think there's only one guy out there that would be able to meet all of those," he murmured as he brought a hand up to brush the hair out of her face before returning it back to its previous position; wrapped around her delicate waist.
