Angelina is sitting here, in the Great Hall, just loitering with intent and hoping she doesn't have to wait very long until Jack arrives. She is sitting on the window ledge, one leg pulled up towards her chest and the other supporting her on the ground, and she is holding an almost-completely-eaten apple in one hand. She doesn't mind the people watching, to be honest.

Jack struts into the Great Hall, pausing to let his billowing greatcoat swish back around his legs. His eyes scan the Gryffindor table and his expression falls a little; he'd been hoping to see Angelina there. His eyes roam the rest of the space, and finally he spots her, looking like something straight out of an apple advertisement sitting in the window. He saunters over and leans against the wall, facing her as his eyes flicker up the leg braced on the ground all the way to her face. He grins. "I have the sudden desire to become an apple," he announces.

Angelina doesn't see Jack's dramatic entrance, and completely misses the theatrics of Jack moving around. Oops? She smiles, flushing scarlet again, for what feels like the hundredth time, and puts the apple down next to her on the ledge. "Oh, well, I hadn't decided whether I really wanted this apple yet, you see." She says slowly, as if she had thought about every word.

Jack smirks. "Maybe if I were an apple, you'd be more pro-apple. So what is it about this apple here that isn't quite doing it for you, then?" he asks, gesturing lazily to the one in her hand.

Angelina grins. "Maybe... Depends what kind of apple you were. I don't know, I just wasn't really hungry. More wanting something to do while I waited for you than anything else." She said, immediately regretting that fact that she just basically admitted that she was waiting for him. She doesn't particularly want to look like the kind of person who waits around eagerly for boys.

"Well then I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?" Jack smirks, giving her a triumphant look as she admits she was waiting for him. "I had a pretty full schedule today, see." Lies. He was out practicing his swagger and wondering why he can't seem to stay away from Gryffindors.

Angelina smiles wryly. "Nope, I really only just got here," she says, even though technically it's just stretching the truth a tad. Then she rolls her eyes a little. "Of course you did..." And it's clearly because Gryffindors are superior to the other houses. Yep. Short!Post is short.

Inner!Jack has no idea how to respond. His first reaction is 'holyshit that's hot' because he loves the 'hard to get' bit. >.>

"How could I not make time for you, though? I never break plans," he tells her, grinning broadly. "Well, if that apple is going to end up brown and unloved, maybe I can interest you in something else," he says, gesturing to the Ravenclaw table, since Jack is rather hungry. He's a guy after all, so he's pretty much always hungry and horny. Like Faith, with testicles. "Care to join me?"

At this, Angelina breaks out into a full, proper smile. "Once again, I say 'Of course you don't..." She begins, before standing properly and stretching her legs a little. And Outer!AJ is dead from that Faith comment, in case you were wondering. "Uh, sure." She says.

Jack grins. Angelina has a gorgeous smile. "Brilliant. So, shall we sit at the Ravenclaw table so that you can get your first taste of sitting with this year's Quidditch Cup winners?" she teases, just waiting for a no-doubt excellent reaction.

Without a seconds delay, Angelina's smile vanishes, but only for a second before it's back. "Are you getting your House tables confused, or your words, Jack? Because, you see, either you mean sitting at Gryffindor as the winners, or Ravenclaw as the losers. Because I may have to tell you many times, but we will win. But as to my sitting preference, I don't mind."

"Hey," Jack says brightly, "There's that delusional nature I was so taken by!" He scans the Ravenclaw table quickly, noting that Louis Weasley is not there to his relief, so he gestures towards his own House table. "Come on. They won't bite, unless you ask nicely," he assures her, and I suppose AJ can post AJack's arrival at the table if she likes?

Angelina rolls her eyes. "If you're so taken by delusional natures, are you sure it's not you who's delusional?" She watches him look for someone. "Looking for someone? Or maybe you're avoiding an ex?" She raises an eyebrow at him skeptically, as she follows him and sits next to him at the table. Was that an acceptable arrival?

"Maybe I am, who knows," Jack laughs, sliding in the space next to Angelina with a grin. He shrugs. No point lying and hiding it; these things have a way of coming out in the end, better to be upfront about it in Jack's experience. "A jealous boyfriend who isn't very happy with me," he says simply; if she asks for details he'll give them, but he's not going to offer them up freely. "Pumpkin juice?" he offers, picking up the pitcher in the centre of the table, ready to pour them each a goblet.

Angelina frowns a little. A tiny part of her is interested in what's happened, but most of her doesn't want to hear anything about Jack doing anything with anyone, especially considering she hasn't even admitted to herself that at some point she might like to do something with Jack herself. "Right, then," she says. "Yeah, thank you." She said, taking the glass as he passed it to her, full.

Jack is a little relieved he doesn't really have to explain all that to Angelina. What if she and Lavender are friends or something? He grins, brushing off potential awkward moments as she takes her drink, setting down the pitcher and picking up his own goblet to take a sip. "So is it any different from the food at the second rate table?" he asks cheekily, gesturing to the spread on the platters.

Angelina has not met Lavender, but that wouldn't stop it from being awkward, that's for sure. She takes a small sip of her pumpkin juice, and looks across at him. "It's not second rate, but no - I would imagine the food is exactly the same at any of the tables, wouldn't you?"

"I would imagine so. Although sometimes I like to fantasize that the House Elves spit in the Slytherin table's food," Jack says amiably. He gestures for her to serve herself first, because even if she hasn't agreed to a real date yet that's not going to stop him from being a gentleman.

Angelina smiles as Jack indicates for her to serve herself - after all, who doesn't like a gentleman? She giggles at the notion of House Elves spitting in food as she reaches for a sandwich, putting it on her plate and taking a small bite. Apparently it's a cucumber sandwich. Good thing she likes them then. "I would hope they don't hold themselves back at all, then."

Jack chuckles as AJ agrees with him. "It's just nice to think there's someone out there, bringing them down for all of us isn't it?" he smiles. "So how was Quidditch practice yesterday, then? Must be going well," he comments as he helps himself to a roast beef sandwich, because there's got to be a reason she's so damned adamant she's going to win.

Angelina grinned. "It was awesome, as usual." She shrugs nonchalantly. "I won't spill any team secrets, but yes. Yes it is." She takes another bite of the sandwich in her hand, chewing it almost thoughtfully and reaching up with her other hand to tuck her hair, which is out, behind her ear.

Angelina looks up, slightly surprised at this apparent change of topic and tone of the conversation. She colours a tiny bit, also, but tries to quell it as soon as she can. Then, a wicked grin crossed her face. "Well, you could try many things. Whether they'll work is an entirely different matter, of course. And it might take more effort than you would think, but it would totally be worth it." Then she turned back to her sandwich and takes another bite.
