Re: Near the Windows
Jack's eyebrows hit his hairline and he takes a long drink of pumpkin juice while he thinks of very unsexy things, which is not easy because Jack finds a LOT of things sexy. "And are you going to pencil me in for all that, too?" he asks when he's put his now-empty goblet back on the table. Oh God he hopes so.

At this, Angelina just smirks at him. "If you're lucky..." Then she turns completely red, turning back down to her sandwich and polishing it off, taking a sip of pumpkin juice to both prolong the silence, and hide her blush. She looks up at him briefly, before turning back down to her now empty plate.

Re: Near the Windows
Jack begins to chuckle as Angelina loses her nerve just enough to blush and fall silent. "If I'm very lucky," he agrees. "We'd both be pretty lucky then, actually." He takes a bite of his sandwich as well, chewing slowly and thoroughly before swallowing because he wants to see what she does when he prolongs the silence as well, pausing as he eats only to grin briefly at her between bites.

Re: Near the Windows
Angelina looks up as Jack speaks again. "Oh, so being with you is such an honor, is it? I must be so lucky," she says, before she has a chance to think about what she actually should have said. To cover the next silence, she reaches for another half of a sandwich, eating it slower than before.

Re: Near the Windows
"I didn't say that," Jack says easily, holding back a little smirk at her outburst. He bites his tongue to keep from laughing; he really hadn't expected her to give him this much attitude and he's loving every minute of it. Hell, Jack doesn't even care about Quidditch, and here he is bantering about the Cup for the sheer thrill of seeing her eyes flash like that. He reaches for the pitcher again to refill his goblet. "Can I top you up?" he offers.

Re: Near the Windows
Angelina looked up, actually looking surprised this time. "You pretty much did, you know." She smiles, almost to herself, and holds out her goblet. "Yes, please," she says pleasantly.

"Was I being arrogant? You'll have to teach me to mind my manners," Jack returns, smirking because he hopes those lessons come with punishments for misbehaving. He fills Angelina's goblet once more and smiles sweetly in response to her pleasantness.

"I'm starting to think that arrogance just comes with the package of Jack now," she half-jokes, because she's pretty much worked out he's out trying to impress her. Why anyone would want to do that is beyond her still, though. Although she has to admit she's enjoying herself. "Thanks." She says, as he fills her goblet, and she takes another sip.

At this point, it is all Jack can do not to fall off the bench laughing. "Baby, the package of Jack comes with a lot more than that," he says, and bursts out laughing because he really can't contain himself any longer. Short!Post is short because Jack is dying and so is Mya.

Re: Near the Windows
At this revelation, it is all Angelina can do to keep her head raised and not hide it is shame. "Oh, Merlin. That is not what I meant and you know it!" She says, flustered now. As Jack laughs, she ducks her head again, hiding her face as best she can. Short!Post is also short because Inner!AJ is mortified.

Re: Near the Windows
Jack settles down, his laugher softening into chuckles and then petering out entirely. He smiles at her embarrassment, but it's a look of encouragement, not mocking. "I know, I know. I just couldn't resist. You can't expect us blokes to behave ourselves when a pretty girl mentions packages, though. Don't get all shy on me now," he cajoles, putting one finger under her chin and tipping it gently upwards again.

Now with her face tilted towards his, she tries to look anywhere but his eyes, but only manages that a little before she looks into his eyes with her dark brown ones. "Well, fine then, but maybe next time you should try to control yourself, yeah?" She says, her blush finally subsiding and a small smile taking it's place.

"You expect a lot from people, don't you?" Jack quips, but he smiles easily, still holding her gaze. "Alright, I'll try to control myself. I could pretend it's an experiment or something. Speaking of experiments, how about that trip to the Three Broomsticks? You could see if I'm more well behaved outside Hogwarts!" he grins.

"Is that really a bad thing, though, Jack?" Angelina asks, her face serious. "I'd appreciate that. And I'm not sure that that kind of experiment is a good idea, really. There are way too many variables..." She trails off, beginning to want to look away, like it was getting awkward.

"Not at all," Jack replies, his face momentarily serious as well, because he can understand having expectations of people, and being clear about them. He's a little disappointed when she doesn't accept his offer straight up, but he persists with a grin. "What if I promised to be on my best behaviour?" he says, trying to look as innocent and appealing as possible.

Re: Near the Windows
Angelina manages to keep her straight face for a while, but then she smiles softly. She's just trying to make him work for it, you know, you want what you can't have thingy. Yep, that's it. "Well, I suppose I could find some room in my schedule..." She admits, looking sideways up at him.

Re: Near the Windows
Jack grins and the little Jack inside his head fistpumps and does the 'Score!' dance. "Fantastic. Tell you what- why don't we make it Sunday, that way you don't have to worry about me keeping you away late on Saturday and sabotaging your Quidditch practice. I hear you guys will need all the practice you can get, after all."

Angelina smiles again. "Uh, okay. Sunday sounds fine..." She says, suddenly more nervous, before pulling a face. "Sure, whatever. Are you sure the 'Claws don't need a cheer squad or something? They're going to need some cheering up when they lose, after all." She grins.

"We don't need a cheer squad; we've got the whole House to cheer. It's a side effect of being the best, everyone gets behind the team," Jack smirks. "Meet you in the Entrance Hall at ten on Sunday, then?" he says, grinning.

"Oh, sure. You keep thinking that even after we beat you, and you'll be fine," she smirks. "Okay. I'll see you then. Will you survive until then without me?" she says, widening her eyes and looking up at him.

Re: Near the Windows
Jack chuckles, loving every minute of Angelina's banter. "Who said I intended to wait that long to see you again?" he shoots back. "I wouldn't want to deprive you, after all."

Angelina grins, finding herself becoming more and more comfortable around Jack. "Deprive me? Sounds like you're looking for excuses now. Quick, you'd better leave - you wouldn't want to seem needy or clingy, would you?" She says, smirking again.

Jack blinks. "Did you just tell me to leave my own table? Damn, woman, you are something else," he says, laughing.

Angelina (and Outer!AJ) had forgotten which table she was sitting, but giggles off her mistake. "Well, I could hardly have told you to leave another table now, could I?" She retorts.

Re: Near the Windows
"Why do I get the feeling you'd try anyway?" Jack returns. He half bets she might even succeed, actually. "Anyway, what would you have done if I'd left you here all alone?" he says, having no clue that AJ actually has friends of her own in Ravenclaw already. "Suppose you could've taken notes on the eating habits of winners, something to try and copy."
