Re: Near the Windows
Angelina grinned. "I could, but it would hardly help. And," she adds, a tone of scandal in her voice now, "I actually have friends in Ravenclaw, you know. Shocking, but true." She ignores Jack's Quidditch comment; she's beginning to wonder if she should ever rise to that bait again.

"Shocking, indeed," Jack laughs. He's slightly disappointed not to see her fire up over his little barb but brushes it off and takes a gulp of pumpkin juice. "What year are you, by the way?" he asks, because I can't remember if he asked when they first met so whatever. >.>

Re: Near the Windows
If my memory serves me correctly, he did not ask before. Angelina giggles a little, before replying. "I'm sixth. You?" Short!Post is short and lame because I'm off to do much less exciting things.

Re: Near the Windows
"Sixth year Gryffindors," Jack says, sighing a little to himself. It's like he can't escape them. Half a second later, his grin is back in place. "I'm a seventh. Think you can stand to be around an older man?" he jokes.

Re: Near the Windows
Angelina smiles, but looks up inquisitively. "Are we special or something?" She asks, curiously. "I think I can manage it, you know. Besides, you aren't that much older, and maturity wise, you're much younger, anyway. It's the facts of life." She deadpans.

"You must be, I can't seem to escape you," Jack says simply. Then he throws back his head and laughs. "True. But that's what makes us boys so endearing, right?"

Angelina rolls her eyes. "Sure, sure it is. We just love toilet humour, the constant eating, and the jokes which are really angling for a compliment... Wouldn't you?" She grins at him again.

Jack holds his arms wide in a 'what' pose. "Is there anything else in life?" he asks, and winks at her.

Angelina smiles. "More like, what else isn't important in life?" She says with a grin. "Anyway, I should go - I have an extra long essay for Potions because the Weasley twins thought it would be a good idea to singe off some eyebrows in class yesterday. I should probably work on that..."

Re: Near the Windows
Jack slaps a hand over his heart as if to say 'you wound me', but laughs good-naturedly. "Well that sounds like a class and a half. Hope the essay was worth it." He stands to walk her to the doors of the Great Hall, because he's had his sandwiches so there's really no reason for him to stay if Angelina won't be there. "Sunday, ten o'clock?" he confirms.

Re: Near the Windows
Angelina grins, pulling an unsympathetic expression at him. "It really is, and as long as I get an E or better, it will be worth it." She says seriously. She walks with him to the exit of the Great Hall, and smiles again, much more warmly. "Sure. I'll meet you here, yes?"

"Right here," Jack grins. "Until then, Miss Johnson," he says, ducking his head in a mock-bow, and he turns to leave, this time giving Angelina the benefit of the full view of all that greatcoat billowing effect.

Angelina smiles. "As long as I have nothing better to do..." She deadpans, before grinning. "Just kidding. I'll be here." And she watches him leave, admiring the effect of the greatcoat as it billows out behind him as he leaves.

Re: Near the Windows
Lily likes the Great Hall when it's almost empty; the few students littering the tables using the space as study desks although even with books spread all over few of them are really studying. Instead there's the quiet chatter of friends talking and laughing, and Lily smiles because it reminds her that there is still such a thing as friendship in the world as she sits in the large bay window with her legs tucked up. Cue Ted.

Re: Near the Windows
Ted just had his really confusing encounter with Andi in the library and came to think and see if anyone he knew was there. He saw his friend sitting in the window and wandered over to join her. Sitting down he smiled at her and leaned back against the wall, his legs hanging off the side, "Hey Lils."

Lily smiles at Ted as he joins her, his long legs spilling off the side of the wide stone ledge. "Hey, Ted. How're you?"

Ted shrugged, "Good. Yeah... good." He shook his head a little to clear his thoughts, "How're you doing?"

Lily arches a coppery eyebrow. "You want to try again with that 'good', maybe make it a little less convincing?" she says sarcastically. There really should be a better way to say that. Like 'she sarcases' or something. Votever, moving on. She shrugs. "I'm alright."

I like sarcase. It's a word now. Ted shook his head, "Sorry, I've had a couple of weird encounters the past couple of days. What do you know about the Black family?"

Re: Near the Windows
Lily's other eyebrow shoots up towards her hairline in surprise before she brings them both back down. "Why d'you ask that, Ted? Erm, I know a little. Sirius Black is in my House, but he's the only one who hasn't been in Slytherin for... well, ever, I think," she says, chewing on her lip. "I heard they did some really awful things to him for not being a Slytherin, too. His three cousins and his younger brother are in there at the moment. Well, they're bad news for muggleborns," she says frankly.

Re: Near the Windows
Ted sighed and dropped his head back against the wall, "Because I keep running into one of them in the library." He glanced at her, "Andromeda. I'd assume she's one of the cousins?"

Re: Near the Windows
Lily searches her memory bank briefly, but finds she doesn't know much about Andromeda Black at all. "Sorry," she says, shrugging lightly, "I don't really know anything about her. I know she's one of Sirius' cousins, and I suppose she doesn't have the reputation Bellatrix does, but that's about it."

Ted nodded, "Yeah I didn't know her either. Anyway," he sat up and looked at her properly,
"Anything new in your life?"

Re: Near the Windows
Lily is still a little confused as to why Ted would care so much about a couple of random encounters with someone in the Library; she's had one-off conversations with people in there loads of times. But she shrugs it off, smiling slightly. "Yeah, it's been a weird week, I guess," she sighs, and pushes thoughts of Sev out of her head for now. Easier to focus on the positives, Lily reminds her self. "I made friends with one of Gideon's sisters the other day, so that's nice."
