"I like to think so. And, well, it's Slughorn, so I'm fairly well guaranteed to get away with anything," Lily says, an uncharacteristically devious little smirk on her face and a wicked sparkle in her green eyes. "Anyway, enough about Potions, I know you just love it. How are your classes?"

Ted grinned at her and poked out his tongue, "Whatever. And classes are great at the moment. Nothing too painful though soon I guess NEWT review will really start and then I'll live under a mountain of misery and books. I might even have to go the library!" THE HORROR!

Lily gasps. "Oh, the horrors! Just think, you might run into your new best friend there again," she smirks, thinking back to Ted's story about his run-in with Andromeda Black.

Ted gave her a playful glare, "I'll have you know that both times she's found me, or at least once she found a book I had and the second time she almost tripped over me so I'm not finding HER."

"Oh, details details," Lily says, waving a dismissive hand. She decides that Ted's uppance has come for all the times he's gleefully teased and tormented her, probing for details about her relationship with Gideon. "The point is, the two of you just can't keep away from each other. And you can't stop talking about her. What's that all about, Teddy dear?"

Ted scowled and poked her with his foot, "Nothing is up with that Lily Dear. Nothing." At her look he pouted and blew a raspberry at her, "I know what you're thinking Evans and you're wrong. Completely and utterly wrong."

"And what am I thinking, Tonks?" Lily challenges, her eyes wide and innocent except for that tiny little spark of deviousness that just won't die. She flicks his foot away from her and says, with great dignity, "Haven't you yet learned that I am always right?"

Ted narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, "You know exactly what you're thinking. You think I like her. And you are so wrong. So so so wrong Evans. And you aren't always right." Even though she really is because she's a woman and he's a man... >.>

Exactly. "Methinks thou doth protest too much," Lily quips. "Go on, admit it; you think she's gorgeous. You've gone and developed a big old crush on her and you know it! Poor Ted, head over heels for a pureblood elitist," Lily laughs, though she takes care to keep her voice low because she's not a fool and she knows what would happen if the wrong ears heard this conversation.

Ted kicked her, gently because he doesn't want to hurt her, but he still kicked her. "Just because she's gorgeous and smart doesn't mean I have a crush on her Lils." He looked away from her for a second because he couldn't honestly say that he didn't like her. Andromeda Black was incredible but there was no chance so what was the point.

Lily's eyebrows rise sharply, not missing the little movement as Ted looks away. She's mostly kidding, just teasing him about Andromeda Black, but now she's actually starting to wonder if there's some truth to it. Whether Ted knows it and owns it is another story, of course. Leaning forward, Lily grabs Ted's chin in her fingers and forces him to look back at her. "Ted, look me in the eyes and tell me you don't like her."

Ted glared at her and pulled back, "It doesn't matter Lils. She has a boyfriend. AND she's a Black, a pureblood princess. Remember?" He moved his hands up to rub his temples, "So really it's not even worth considering."

Lily drops her hand as Ted pulls away, ignoring his glare. "You're right," she says, dropping the subject... for now. She watches Ted rubbing his temples for a moment and smiles sadly. She hopes she's wrong, but as Tam pointed out, Lily is a woman, therefore she is always right. "It's never gonna happen. Not worth worrying about. Anyway, I should get going. I'm certain while I've been sitting here contemplating the mysteries of life, my Potions assignment has been rudely refusing to do itself." She gets up and moves around so she's standing next to Ted as he sits on the ledge still. Her arm winds around his shoulders and her head rests on his in a sideways hug.

Useless always right women. Ted turned when she hugged him and gave her a hug back, "Thanks Lil. I'll see you soon, good luck with the potions." As she wandered off he sat by the window for a while longer thinking about his life before getting up and wandering off.

And Lily does indeed wander off, happy because she loves being female and always right.

Dean is here at the windows, just staring out at nothing. He's trying not to think, but of course things don't work that way. He was trying to convince himself that he didn't miss Luna, but he really did. He sighed and rested his forehead against the cool glass.

Luna was walking through the castle after being with Rolf. She noticed Dean sitting by himself by the windows and walked over to sit down next to him. "Hello," she greeted quietly, unsure of what to say to him and wondering if he knew she had his notebook.

Dean jumped about a foot when he was brought out of his train of thought by the very person he was just thinking about. His head snapped to look at her and all he could do was stare in shock for a few moments. He quickly collected his thoughts and tried to smile. "Hey Luna. H-How are you?" He cleared his dry throat and told himself to play it cool.

Luna returned the small smile, then shrugged her shoulders and folded her hands in her lap. "I'm alright. I've missed you," she told him quietly, unsure of if he even wanted to talk to her after she told him she had a date with Rolf.

Dean got this weird pain thing in his chest when she said that. Although he missed her terribly, he wasn't going to say it. He was trying to get over his feelings for her, and admitting something like that wasn't going to help him any. He nodded his head. "How are you? How was your d-date?" The way he said the word wasn't really in a friendly tone.

Luna hesitated before answering. "I...um, I didn't go. I told Rolf that I needed time to think," she answered quietly, before reaching into her bag and taking out the notebook. "Here." She tentatively handed it to Dean. "You...you left that at the astronomy tower."

Dean tried to keep his emotions in check, because he didn't really want to get too hopeful about her not going on a date with Rolf. he froze a little when she happened to have his sketchpad with her. He reached for it a bit awkwardly. "Oh. Uh. Thanks for returning it." Then curiosity got the better of him and he had to know. "Did you, uh. Did you look in it?"

Luna stayed quiet for a moment, not sure of how to answer. "I did," she finally said, settling for being honest. "I didn't meant to. It just sort of...happened. I hope you don't mind. Everything in there is...Well, it's really good." She twirled a strand of hair around her finger, not sure of what to say about the drawings that she saw of herself.

Dean sort of feels like he was hit by the Knight Bus. Even though he kind of figured she would look, it was still a lot to take in actually hearing that she did. "Ah. Right. I'm really sorry Luna." Then he thought for a moment and shook his head. "Actually no. I'm not sorry. I always draw things that kind of go with out I'm feeling. And I feel strongly for you, which you know already...But I am sorry that it probably makes you uncomfortable. You should know, I'm really trying my hardest here to, I don't know...get over you?"

Luna avoided making eye contact with Dean, feeling horrible for what she was putting her best friend through. "You don't have to be sorry. I shouldn't have looked through them. It's none of my business what you draw. That's your personal, private sketchbook, and I'm sorry for looking through it," she apologized quietly, before glancing up at him through her light colored eyelashes.
