Re: The Astronomy Tower
AND PANSY SNOGGED HIM BACK AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
Pansy nodded and turned to look at him, surprised when she found that his face was much closer than she'd expected. "Mmhm. He was the greatest hunter in the world. But he was too full of himself and he thought he could beat anything." She paused, for dramatic effect of course. "A simple scorpion sting killed him, you know."

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Really? I don't remember that part of the story" He was still looking up at the stars. "It would be awful to have something so stupid kill you." Like Steve Irwin and that stingray. Turning to look at her he realized their noses were almost touching. "Pansy"
Re: The Astronomy Tower
She blinked at him, her fingers a little trembly because of how close she found herself to him again. "Hm?" He had said her name, right? She didn't imagine it? What if she'd just imagined he's said her name and now she looked stupid asking him 'Hm' when he didn't actually say anything. Oh and his eyes. Just look at them in the moonlight. Molten silver. She felt like she could have just melted onto the blanket as she waited for him to speak again, a puddle of liquified Pansy.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
He let out a low sigh, "Do you ever think about dying?" He kept his eyes trained on hers that looked like pools of darkness in the moonlight. Blinking gently he reached between them and slid his hand around hers.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Dying?" Well that was definitely not expected. His hand slipped around hers again, and she shut her eyes, hoping her fingers had stopped trembling. Probably not. She blinked and looked down, thinking for a bit before she met his eyes again. "Well, Dee killed me once, so, no, not really any more. I suppose sometimes it crosses everyone's mind, but I try not to think about it. A little scary, seeing as I feel there's so much left I want to do in my life. It's natural I guess, but... I don't know. What do you mean?"
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"I guess what we'd be leaving behind. Friends, family... what our legacy is and who would mourn us." He sighed, "Sorry Pans... I don't know what's gotten me in this mood tonight" He squeezed her hand gently and crinkled his brow, "You're shaking. Are you cold?"
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Oh." She fell silent, unsure what to say. Since when had Draco gotten so dark? As he spoke again after squeezing her hand, she looked back at the stars again. Damn. Stupid hands. "I'm fine."
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"You sure?" He tugged on her hand and slid an arm around her shoulders, "C'mere." He turned his face into her hair and smelt it. "You smell really nice," he murmured into her hair. Merlin where was this all coming from? What was possessing him to say and do these things?!?!
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Pansy turned to her side a bit as he slipped his arm around her, transferring her head onto his shoulder. "Thanks." She mumbled, closing her eyes as she listened to his faint heartbeat. She thought about throwing her plan of telling him about her feelings while at the party out the window and just saying something now... but she couldn't do it. She just stretched an arm across his middle, silently enjoying the warmth of his body, not even caring she wasn't studying the stars anymore.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Draco smiled up at the sky and closed his eyes. He moved his arm to hold hers across him, gently placing his hand over her elbow. This was nice... slowly but surely the warmth of Pansy cuddling into him and the long and exhausting events of his day caught up to him and he fell asleep.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
As his chest started regularly rising and falling, Pansy glanced up at his face to find that he had fallen asleep. She smiled, reaching up carefully and tracing her fingers across his cheek before wrapping her arm back around him, his hand finding her arm again in his sleep. She closed her eyes, her cheek against his chest like old times, sleeping under the stars. She pulled the blanket up over her a bit, sliding closer to him to keep warm in the night chill, and eventually she too fell asleep, quite the happiest she's been this far, which is saying something, because Pansy has gone to sleep happy every single night in 2.0 and she's not used to this at all.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Pansy blinked awake in dim sunlight, at first wondering where in the world she had fallen asleep and who was touching her. She quickly remembereed and smiled happily, her head still on his warm chest, her arm still stretched across his middle. They had moved a little in the night, both his arms wrapped rather firmly around her, her leg slipped up over his as she had snuggled into his side. She moved her leg away, but was otherwise trapped until he woke up - not that age would dream of complaining. She tilted her head to glance up at his face.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Her movements and the morning light slowly made him wake up. Instinctively he squeezed his arms around her. Before he even opened his eyes he could smell her shampoo and remembered where they were. "Morning," he smiled at her, his eyes still closed.
[Ash... I was literally just coming to this thread to tell you I was awake when you posted... why do I even bother?]

Re: The Astronomy Tower
Our brainwave tells me all XD
Pansy smiled as he hugged her a bit tighter. "Morning. Did you sleep okay?" it was actually rather nice to wake up from sleeping after stargazing and not have to scramble around and get back to their own bedrooms before their parents discovered them missing. Their dorm mates wouldn't care about their absence and so long as no teachers wandered up here they could easily stay lying here a while longer still. Pansy wished they could stay all day.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Mmhm. I did, it was nice to stay here for once. You?" Slowly he cracked his eyes open. Sunlight... Why did it exist? Closing his eyes again he ran his hand up and down her back. Waking up like this felt so right... And there were those odd feelings again. Stamping them down again he focused on what Pansy was saying.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Yup I'm fine." More than fine. Waking up next to Draco Malfoy was something she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She closed her eyes again and pressed her face to his chest as he rubbed her back, wishing she would never have to get up. Her hand that was stretched across his middle ran up and down his side a bit before wrapping a little more solidly around him.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Letting out a low groan he asked, "Any idea what time it is?" As she ran her hand over his side he smiled and peered down at her between squinted eyes. All the times they'd woken up from their stargazing they'd never been this close. Or stayed put for this long, it was a pleasantly odd sensation.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Pansy answered him with a sigh, her eyes still closed. "Too early." She stayed still a moment before she opened her eyes and glanced around, up at the sky behind his head where the sun was coming up. Thanks to ber fascination and surprisingly dedicated studying of astronomy and the sky and things of that nature, she could pretty well guess the time. "I guess about eight." She shut her eyes again.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"We'll have to get up soon," as he spoke his arms wrapped themselves even more firmly around her. Okay so maybe they weren't moving. That was just fine. The morning sun warmed him nicely and he throughly enjoyed the stillness of the air and the silence that premiered the grounds.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Wish we didn't have to." She mumbled, sliding closer to him if it was even possible at this point. She tries to keep her eyes open, but it was difficult. She knew if she even blinked too long she would fall back to sleep. She felt herself start to slowly drift away again, her fingers curled around his side, every bit of her delighting in being held this tightly by him, being squeezed this close to his frame.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Draco was more awake now and had finally opened his eyes properly. Smiling down at her he moved one hand to run a finger down her cheek, "Don't go back to sleep now dear. I have class in an hour and I can't go if you're asleep on me." He pressed a soft kiss to the to of her head and was surprised at himself. He'd never been like this with her before.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Pansy talked to him with her eyes still closed, her hand moving to rest on his chest, still feeling tingly from his fingers on her cheek and lips on her head. "Simple solution: don't go." Stay here with me, forever. She wanted to add the last part, and as much as her heart told her brain to do it, she just couldn't manage it.

"Mmm as great as that sounds [INSERT SCARY POTIONS PROFESSOR'S NAME HERE] would kill me if I missed class" Slowly he unwrapped his arms from around her. Sadness. Sitting up he stroked her hair again, "Come on Pans, you have to get up now, your pillow's gone."
[I'm going to be packing soon so yeah... finish it up quick!]
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Pansy groaned, disappointed for once that he was actually being a responsible student. "Fine." She slid a bit down his chest as he sat up, but she got up before she ended up in his lap. She rubbed a hand over her face to wake herself up, before she looked at Draco, unable to do anything but smile at him like she always did when she looked at him. She picked up her book from the bench beside them. "Well that was nice. Like old times." But better. "Quick breakfast and then we run to class so Sluggy doesn't kill us?"
