Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Yeah" He stood up and gave her a hand up. Picking up the blanket and hugging her one more time he kept his arm around her shoulders and steered them towards the stairs. "That was nice Pans... we need to do this more often"

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Mm, definitely." Pansy was all kinds of confused. He hugged her, kissed her twice despite neither of them being on the lips or more than a peck, let her sleep on his chest, and generally seemed to care about her, and yet here they were still acting like they had before. Nothing new, not dating, not anything more than friends. Did he realize how she felt and so he tried to show a little affection while still keeping her pushed just enough away? Or was he totally oblivious like he had always been? Did he feel the same way? Pansy's head swam with thoughts as she walked to the Great Hall with him, his arm still around her shoulders, a smile still across her face.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
Nikki skipped up to the Astronomy Tower, to go star gazing. She loved making her own constellations. What right did anyone have to tell her that certain stars lined up in certain ways. They never looked like what they were supposed to be. So, she made up her own ones and gave them stories.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
Caradoc wandered up to the tower again, deciding to take a look at the stars, after Pansy had mentioned them before. He's mildly surprised to note that the tower isn't empty, but has a Nikki there already. "Hey there, beautiful!" he called out with a smile, walking over to say hello.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Oh, hey handsome. How are you?" She was lying back, staring up at the sky. Flailing her arm slightly, she tapped the ground next to her. "Come join me."

"Alright," he said brightly, lying down on the ground next to her. "Beautiful night. I met your sister today, she seems... nice. Not like you, though. I think I like you better, but shh, don't tell," he said with a grin, looking over at her.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Yeah, Nala is bright tonight." She smiled at her friend. "Isn't Bea amazing? She is best sister ever."

"Hahaha, sure," he said, shrugging. "Oh! I forgot to tell you! I found us a drummer AND a guitarist! You didn't tell me your friend Luna played drums, she's so in! The guitarist, well, he said he wouldn't do it... but I'm sure I'll find a way to convince him, if you get my meaning," he winked, though in truth he has no intentions of doing things with Raksha, the poor kid was already a wreck.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"OOH YAY BAND!" Nikki clapped her hands together in glee. "I didn't know Luna played!" She smiled up at the stars. "I am very happy right now."

"Yeah, me too! Tristan's my roommate, you'll love him, he's so, so, so-- ADORABLE! That's the word. He's really the sweetest, shyest thing, so we'll have to be careful not to scare him off with our combined craziness, he already stutters in my presence, though I think that's more my appearance than my personality," he said, snorting with laughter.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Tristan? Sounds cool." She blanched when she found out she couldn't scare him. "I am scary. I don't think I can be normal."

"And you think I can be normal?! Ha. You don't need to be normal, just try not to make any comments about how cute he is. You'll see why that's a hard thing when you meet him, trust me on that one. He's like a little teddy bear!" he joked, smiling affectionately as he thought of his friend.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"I shall not, I promise! I'll just think it loudly! He won't mind that." Nikki snuggled up to Rad.

Caradoc smiled and wrapped an arm around his buddy, because he just likes that kind of thing. "No, I'm sure he can't hear you thinking loudly, Nikki. So, how've you been, in the last, I don't know, two days since we last talked?"
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Nothing, I have just been studying. I get into these fits of Ravenclawness, and all I do is study for days." She shrugged, which is hard to do lying down. "Just part of me."

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Ha, I suppose everyone's gotta study sometime, Nikki," he replied. "So, I don't think I asked you the other day, you have a boyfriend or girlfriend or something?"
Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Did I ever tell you I think women are as pretty as men are handsome?" She rolled onto her side to look at Rad. "See, each gender is so different! Women are all soft and cuddly and beautiful, while men are all hard and protective and handsome. And I can't decide who I like more and if I like both because how can you see the beauty in everything and then chose only half of it? But... I am a Mudblood, the last thing I need is to be a bisexual Mudblood. But, do you see how women can be beautiful? Because, sometimes I wonder if I just see beauty in everyone but only like guys." Words poured out of Nikki's mouth. She never spoke about this before, preferring to think about it herself. She knew she saw when women were particularly beautiful and when they had fabulous boobs or a killer ass or incredible legs. And there were times when she saw a woman and saw that woman's hair and she just wanted to run her fingers through it. But, with guys it was so much easier. She could see wen their muscles were chiselled and their jaws were in just the right shape and she could close her eyes and picture herself kissing her way down their chests. She just didn't know.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
[It makes sense!]
Caradoc is rather shocked that Nikki opened up to him so easily, but smiled. "Hey, don't use that word, okay? I know it doesn't mean anything to you, but it bothers me, when people use it all. But I think I understand. I mean, I know a beautiful woman when I see one, like you, and I can appreciate aesthetic beauty of any gender, but when it comes to vaginas, you'll see me high tailing it in the other direction, and fast!" he laughed. "It's sometimes hard to tell the difference between sexual attraction and just general appreciation for beauty, I think. Have you ever though about experimenting with a girl, just to explore yourself? You'd probably benefit from it, just knowing a little more about yourself, and the way you feel. And for what it's worth, you know I wouldn't care, no matter your sexuality. I know some gays and lesbians who are so prejudiced against bisexuals, and it makes me mad. We're all the same, we're all human, in my eyes."

Re: The Astronomy Tower
Nikki shook her head. "I am scared to try. What if I am bad?!? I mean, yeah you can study all of the books, like the Kama Sutra, and read trashy muggle magazines, like Cosmo, but it doesn't prepare you. And I don't want to be bad at something and have it be all awkward and then be confused and think, 'Oh, it was awkward because she was a girl.'" Nikki hugged Rad tight. "You are a good person. I know I can talk to you, and I am glad you wouldn't care. Because... have you ever wondered that with all the new terms, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, if it is harder to know yourself because you are trying to fit a name, rather than yourself? What if it is spectrum, and everyone likes some girls and some guys and it just matter who they are and when you meet them?" She blushed. "I got off topic, didn't I?"

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"No, not at all. I can see where you're coming from. In my own eyes, I suppose I really do just see us as all human. I sometimes feel like I'm limiting myself by calling myself gay, because what if one day, I fall in love with a woman? But then I remember vaginas, and I realize that it will likely never happen. But yeah, I understand. I never tried to fit a label, but I know people who do, and end up confusing themselves. But as for being bad, don't worry about it. Maybe you'd feel better if you did it with a girl who was as inexperienced as yourself? That way, you'd both know you were just figuring things out together. Or, you could go for a very experienced girl, who'd be able to teach you. It could go both ways," he suggested, smiling and returning her hug.
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Nikki sighed. "Either could work... but how many not straight girls could exist in one small school. And of them, how many could possibly want someone so..." She hesitated, not wanting to sound self-hating, but wanting to be realistic. "So crazy and spontaneous and wild and nuts? How guys for that matter?"

Re: The Astronomy Tower
"Given the amount of gay guys I know, plenty, is my guess. And either way, you should never make assumptions, you'd be surprised about which girls are willing to give something a try, you know? I tell you what, if I hear about any girls, I'll let you know," he laughed. "Hey. Just to be perfectly blunt and honest, if I liked girls, I'd probably have a massive crush on you by now. I don't think you realize how gorgeous you are, or how attractive a spunky girl is to a guy like me, and other guys, too."
Re: The Astronomy Tower
Nikki turned bright red. She realised that she was living out an ultimate cliche, being grateful to the dark for hiding her blush. "Rad, if you were straight, I would probably kiss you. However, if you were straight, I don't think we'd be having this conversation, so... is that a paradox?" She laughed. "Look, Cliodna's face is being hidden behind a cloud, but her skirt is still bright." She pointed at some stars. "And thanks for the complement. Sometimes I think it is our society's fault, how I shortchange myself. The way girls are programmed to hate themselves, hate their bodies, think they are less than they actually are, and therefore, end up being less than they actually are. At the same time, who can look in the mirror and truly love every inch of their body without lying to themselves? I guess I... I..." She struggled to find words. "I AM DONE BEING SERIOUS." She stood up and began to dance, whist singing a bawdy tavern song to the tune of Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

Re: The Astronomy Tower
Caradoc blinked, and burst out laughing, shaking his head. "Goodness, Nikki, if you were a guy, I'd be snogging you senseless right now, for your utter insanity," he chortled, standing up as well and laughing at her amusing dance and song. "But honestly, as for your thought, I don't lie to myself, when I tell myself I love my body. There's nothing about me I don't love, and you wanna know why? Because every day, I make a point to make sure I better myself in one way or another. I love myself, but at the same time I'm never satisfied, so I'm always challenging myself to be a better person, a better man, both physically and emotionally. And so when I make myself better, it's just more to love about me. I'm not exactly egocentric, or at least, I don't like to think of myself as vain as other men, but I love all of me, just like I think you should love all of you too," he said encouragingly.
