Remus is just chilling up here with a charms book. He's remembered a warm jacket this time so he doesn't get sick again, like the last time he was up here. Yep yep. Awesome. *cue Jack*

Jack promised Remus he'd hang with him, and even though the prospect kind of worries him right now -what if all those stupid doubts haven't gone away like they should have after a good night's rest?- a promise is a promise, so Jack is checking all Remus' favourite haunts. Finding the Library full of pretty girls, but empty of Remuses, Jack treads lightly up the steps to the Astronomy Tower. Bingo. Jack walks slowly over to Remus, kisses the top of his head, and sits next to him. "Hey, you."

Remus startles slightly when he feels someone kissing the top of his head - he'd been too absorbed in his reading to notice Jack approaching - and looks up as Jack sits down next to him. "Hey." He smiles brightly as he leans lightly against Jack and kisses his cheek softly. Remus had decided that he wasn't going to let himself worry about the past incident. They had talked it over a bit and everything seemed like it would be alright, right? So Remus wasn't going to let himself worry so much. "Did you sleep well?" Remus had, sort of. Once he had managed to turn off all his thoughts.

Jack smiles, surprised but happy that Remus doesn't seem to be letting awkwardness run away with him after their previous encounter. He adjusts himself slightly so that Remus can snuggle comfortably against him, one arm winding around him and his elbow bending so that he can play absently with Remus' hair. "I slept well," he says. It's half true. Those three hours he'd gotten around dawn once he passed out from exhaustion had been awesome. "How you going?"

"That's good." Remus happily snuggles against Jack, closing his eyes as Jack plays with his hair. "I'm okay. I was just reviewing a little bit." He points lazily towards the charms book he had set aside when Jack had shown up. "Can you believe I actually tried doing some cleaning again in my dorm this morning? I couldn't help it. Everyone's stuff is a mess and it's invading my clean little spot. Especially Sirius' stuff. Geez. Sometimes I think he does it on purpose." He rolled his eyes, turning his head to bury his face in Jack's shoulder. He was quite comfortable at the moment and hoped he wouldn't have to move anytime soon.

Jack is suddenly glad that Remus' face is in his shoulder, and he won't see the way his jaw clenches slightly at the mention of Sirius. Always Sirius. What Remus is saying, and what Remus is saying is always two different things when it comes to Sirius Black. Jack thinks maybe he doesn't even realise it; the way his eyes belie the roll with the way they glow, that corner of his mouth that is just dying to twitch upwards into a smile... Jack has tried so hard for so long, but there's always that third person with them, even in their most private and intimate moments. "Just trying to get a reaction, you know," he finally murmurs. "You could start vanishing their stuff."

Remus snorts, shaking his head slightly, his voice muffled in Jack's shirt. "I could..but that would rebound horribly in the end. I can't- well, actually I can imagine some of the things they'd do to get revenge. They'd know it was me. Plus I can't lie to them at all, really. Sirius can read me like a book. Lying has never been something I'm good at - which is kind of a good thing if you think about it, right?" Remus shrugs lightly. He really doesn't have a clue that what he's saying and what he's saying when it comes to Sirius is two different things. For the most part he's been just trying to forget about those feelings for Sirius and just trying to focus on their friendship.

Sirius, Sirius, Sirius. Jack is starting to feel a bit Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! about it all. If he was a girl, his name would even be Jan. "I guess not being able to lie is a good thing. It's part of your charm," Jack says with a slight chuckle, his hand brushing affectionately over Remus' head. That air of innocence that even a life of hardship hasn't been able to erase shines through in Remus' personality, reminding Jack of the softer side of his boyfriend's nature and he kisses Remus' forehead.

And Remus can't help it really, because he doesn't have many friends and he spends a lot of time with Sirius - has done so for years. So a lot of his stories or comments involving friends would generally involve Sirius. Ah well. He smiles as Jack kisses his forehead and tilts his face up so he can catch Jack's lips with his own for a soft kiss.

Jack knows that, deep down, and if it wasn't for those feelings, he wouldn't care that Remus talks about Sirius so much, really. *pats him*
Deciding that this is easier than talking, or hearing more about Sirius, Jack grins into the kiss, holding Remus gently against him. He wants to deepen it, but the memory of the awkward moment last time when he'd misread Remus' intentions is still fresh in his mind, so Jack keeps the kiss light and teasing.

SORRY - I AM IN SPRING CLEANING MODE AND MY DESK LOOKS LIKE A BOMB WENT OFF.... XD

*flailyawns* HI. Nurgh, is it the weekend yet??? XD

Remus enjoys any sort of kisses from Jack, really, so he doesn't mind if they only remain light and teasing kisses. Though, being the sort that worries and panics about everything, he can't help worrying that maybe Jack doesn't want to be as close to him anymore because of that awkward moment they'd had the last time they hung out. The thought terribly saddens him but he doesn't want Jack to see how much he's worrying and upset. He doesn't want to be the one to kill the mood again. So on the outside he remains cheerful for now. His hand crept slowly up Jack's chest with light teasing movements until it reached Jack's shoulder where it rested as he leaned against the older man more.

Jack's usual response to Remus' hand moving to his shoulder would be to gather the Gryffindor closer against him and let a little more fervor creep into their makeout session. But he doesn't want to leave Remus with the impression that he's pressuring him, Jack really has never wanted to be that kind of guy, so instead he keeps the kiss light. One of his hands moves to Remus' waist, increasing the contact slightly, but holding Remus' body at at distance instead of pulling it in tight.

Remus wouldn't think that Jack was pressuring him. If they were really being intimate and Jack tried taking things further again like he did the last time then, yeah, he'd thinks so. So he's a little upset over the fact that Jack doesn't seem to want them closer to each other than how they were currently. Maybe he did something wrong other than just cause that little awkward incident the other day. His worrying kicks into overdrive and he pulls away, his hand tightening on Jack's shoulder as he looks away down at the floor in front of them. "Did I do something wrong? I'm really sorry if I did..."

Jack almost facepalms as Remus pulls back and asks if he's done something wrong. Merlin, now even when he was trying to do things right, things were going wrong. Jack smiles hastily and shakes his head. "No, no you didn't do anything wrong, Remus. I just didn't want you to think I was pressuring you into anything, after last time..." he trails off lamely, not knowing what else to say.

Remus looks up in surprise, blinking a bit. "What? Oh, no, I wouldn't have thought that. I mean, we kind of sorted that all out, right?" He went bright quaffley, his hand plucking lightly, nervously, at Jack's sleeve. "I'm sorry...I just worry too much."

Jack brings one of his hands up to lightly brush the hair back from Remus' forehead. "Don't apologise. You're right, it's all sorted," he says, and as if it will prove it somehow, he leans back in to kiss Remus again, tongue tracing lightly over his lower lip.

Amethyst apologizes for taking so long. Her computer decided to freeze. *kicks it*

Remus feels a bit reassured now - though, being him, he still can't help the doubt that he's done something wrong and Jack's annoyed with him or something - and he silently, sternly, tells himself not to worry so much. Everything was going to be alright. His lips parted slightly as he felt Jack's tongue trace his lower lip and he leaned closer, hoping that he wouldn't again feel Jack trying to hold them slightly apart. This didn't have to move into anything heavier, he was perfectly content with just holding each other close, but it just felt uncomfortable if Jack wouldn't let it happen.

That's alright - I was gone for like 45 minutes at a morning tea thing... *sobs because one of my favourite peoples is leaving today*

Jack feels a little worry emanating from Remus and misreads it, presuming his boyfriend is now worried about things getting too out of hand. Determined to show that he can keep things on an even keel, jack slips his tongue gently into Remus' mouth, exploring lightly, while his hand moves from Remus' waist to his back. He makes no move to hold him closer, but does not actively keep him away.

Remus shifts slightly, breaking the kiss, and moves Jack a bit so he can push him over so he can lay next to him, snuggling close. The floor wasn't totally comfortable but Remus still couldn't shake the worrying thoughts and just felt like cuddling now. Plus, now that he really thought about it, they hadn't done a lot of talking lately - all of their moments together lately had turned into more intimate moments with little talking whatsoever. "Have you ever climbed out on one of the hidden roof spots before?" he asks softly, staring out over the tower's railing to look at the bit of darkening sky he could see. The moon was almost full, it'd be a long night tomorrow. Which Amethyst just kind of now decided upon. Yay. Maybe we can use that to our advantage on this whole situation..I don't know.
