Parvati stared at him like he was crazy. "What do you mean who determines it?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "You're just like born that way. Nobody like says oh you are a wizard and pours like fairy dust over you or some shit like that." She said with a small shrug.

"I know that," Justin sighed. "But what higher power? Who or what decides, before we're even born, if we can do magic or not? I know there's a scientific explanation for these things, but don't you think that there's also something else behind it? It's amazing just how much we don't actually control." Justin was a strange little Hufflepuff, who often thought like a Ravenclaw but acted more like a finder when it came to the serious stuff.

Parvati cocked her head slightly to the side as she stared at him. "Right, okay, let me explain to you something." She told him with a small smile. "In this school we have our Slytherin's, who are just cunning and ambitious, then we have the Gryffindor's, which is where I fall into and we are all courageous and chivalrous." She explained with a small smile. "Oh, we're also all really good looking too. Right, anyways, then we have our Ravenclaw's, who are known for their wit, intelligence, creativity, and wisdom." She said and then sighed. "Then we have the Hufflepuff's, which is where people like you go." She explained. "You're a hard worker, you are very patient, and good with friendships and stuff but also you just don't exactly fit in. All Hufflepuff's kind of have that one weird thing about them. You see, yours is that you are thinking way to much about this."

Justin raised his eyebrow cockily. "I don't think pondering the universe makes me a strange person, nor do I consider you a strange person for not. Though I wouldn't claim attractiveness as a Gryffindor trait; the rest of us houses have our fair share, believe me." Justin thought of Audrey as he said this; she was like a supermodel, yet still a Ravenclaw at heart. "And I'd like to think that I fit in perfectly well, thank you very much. Hufflepuff is not the reject house." Justin meant nothing personally against Pavarti, but he was very protective of his housemates and very proud of his Hufflepuff house.

Parvati stared at him. "Well personally I think out of all the Houses Gryffindor has the most attractive people. Sure all the other houses have a few attractive people but if you get into it I am pretty sure the Gryff's have the most over everyone." She said with a light shrug. She couldn't help it, there were just a lot of attractive people in Gryffindor. "I'm not saying you don't fit in. I am sure you fit in fine with the Hufflepuffs." She told him with a small smile. "I'm just saying, all the other houses kind of have that one thing in common where as the Hufflepuffs are just all kind of different." She said with a shrug. "If you don't want to agree with me then fine, don't. Your opinion isn't going to change mine, just saying."

Dee walks down the hallway. Most of the time, as she is a Slytherin, she never feels like saying hi to people outside her own house, but today, that was not the case. She sees a girl with a familiar face sitting on a bench, so she decides to go say hello. "Hey, have we met?"

Parvati looked up as another girl talked to her and smiled. "Hi, Um, I don't think we have." She said, trying to think for a moment. "But you do look somewhat familiar." She said as she looked up at her. "I'm Parvati." She said as she held her hand out, wondering if the girl was on another cheer team, or perhaps a quidditch team.

"I'm Daphne, but most people call me Dee." Dee shook Parvati's hand at the same instance she realized who she was. "Oh, you're on the Gryffindor cheer squad! That's why I recognized you. I play for Slytherin, so you could say that we're rivals."

"Yes! I am!" She said with a wide grin. "I'm the head cheerleader." She said, grinning widely. "Oh! That's cool! I don't believe in the whole rivalry thing though. I mean, I'm a cheerleader and you are the quidditch player so I wouldn't say we are rivals." She said with a light laugh. "Though, you may be rivals with my boyfriend."

"That's cool! Oh, well, I was referring to house rivalry, rather than like cheering/quidditch team rivalry, if you know what I mean," Dee said with a shrug. "He's on Gryffindor?" she guessed. "I'm sure we are rivals, then. What position does he play?"

"Oh yeah." She said with a light shrug. "I don't really believe in all that crap though. My best friend is in Slytherin and my bro is in Slytherin too." She told her with a small nod. "Yup! He is the Keeper." She told her grinning just at the thought of her boyfriend.

"The house rivalries are a bit ridiculous, I agree. But it's all sort of necessary on the pitch. I have to want the opposite team to lose. It just makes sense." Dee shrugs. "Oh, really? Who are they? I might know them." Dee narrows her eyes and snaps her fingers, attempting to remember the Gryffindor Keeper's name. "Er, Potter, right? You're dating James Potter?"

"Oh yeah, totally. I get that!" She said with a wide grin. "Like hating your opposing team is totally understandable because you like want to beat then and your career could possibly depend on it if you want to go into a career in Quidditch or whatever." She said with a light shrug. "Yes! James Sirius Potter." She said with a wide grin. "He's all mine and totally perfect."

Dee nods. She knew who James Sirius Potter was, though they had never met. "Yeah, I've heard of him. I'm pretty good friends with his brother, Al. That's cool that you're dating him, though. He seems like a nice guy, from what I've heard."

"Oh my god, Al is my best friend ever." She said with a wide grin. "And James is a super nice guy." She told her. "Both him and Al are totally awesome. Al is my best friend and James is my future husband, hopefully."

Dean is walking around frantically, repeating in his head the description of the boy he was suppose to be finding. He was walking down the corridor when he saw someone to fit the description. Tall, dark hair, slightly tanned skin, Hufflepuff robes...it had to be him. Dean approached the guy, who was just a little taller than himself, which was a new experience for him. He looked a little nervous, not wanting to be the one to give bad news. "Um, excuse me? Are you by chance Krasimir Stevoka?" He hoped he got the name right, but figuring if it were the right person, they would be used to mistakes.

Kras turns when he hears someone ask him a question. He barely blinks an eye when the rather tall boy gets his last name wrong - he's used to it. "Svetkova." He nodded, a friendly smile on his face. Though seeing how nervous the tall Gryffindor was had concern slowly etching itself onto Kras' face. "Is there something wrong? I don't believe ve've met."

Dean was twirling his hands together as he looked up at the taller boy. "Yes. I mean no we haven't. My name is Dean Thomas. Anyways. I've been sent to find you. I don't know him, but some boy named Reed...Had an accident on the stairs. He's in the hospital wing. I...He fell..I don't know what happened, he was still passed out when I left. The nurse...told me to find you.." He could see the concern on the Hufflepuff's face and figured he must be close with Reed. "I--I'm sorry.."
