Pansy sighed and smiled reassuringly at his attempts to comfort her, even if he was a bit off right now. "Any guy but the only one I wanted, it seems." She ate some more of her pancake, thinking. "I don't know why I've waited so long for him. I guess I always figured I had this chance if I hung around long enough... and I've liked him so long I've never paid attention to anyone else. I never wanted anyone else. I guess I just wasted my time." She picked up the broken horn and ate it, eating the rest of the neck and then the head, licking a bit of chocolate off her finger. She sat her plate to the side, pulling her knees up toward her.

Scorpius carefully considered what to say next. He wanted to tell her that it wasn't too late, that there was still a chance...but at this point, he wanted her to stay the hell away from his cousin. He decided that it was best to be supportive about the whole thing though. "Pans, it's not necessarily over. There's still a chance that whatever sort of thing he had with Ms. Perky Boobs...was just that. A thing. What he did was low, by leading you into thinking there was something and then sleeping with another girl...but it doesn't mean that it's all over now."

Pansy shrugged. "I guess all I can do is talk to him. Maybe you're right. Doesn't mean it didn't hurt, but I guess there's still a chance. I don't want to talk about it though, not until I see him again. Did you at least have fun last night after I left?" She tried a smile, more than willing to stop thinking about it again. Every time the name Astoria made its way into her mind, she just felt really pissy, and she didn't exactly like that.

All Scorpius could do was nod, for talking about Drastoria made the whole thing very depressing. "It was alright," he said with a shrug. "I mean... I found the girl I was talking to, and we managed to get along quite well...but...I wasn't...I wasn't in the...the mood. I...I wasn't in the mood to...shag," he said, as if this was a horrifying occurrence that has never ever happened. "I...I didn't have any sex yesterday actually," he said, realizing this for the first time and slightly surprised. "I...I feel okay too. Like, I'm not going through some sort of withdrawal or anything."

Pansy blinked quickly a few times as if he had just told her he met a dragon yesterday and they had tea together in Candyland. "You what? You didn't shag her? You just... what!? I don't even know what to think, Scorp." She laughed, in complete disbelief. Scorp going a day without getting some action was just... it was almost totally completely absolutely wrong. "Sounds like we both had off nights."

"I know," he said in disbelief. "I mean...we snogged...but that was it! I wasn't...I wasn't disappointed either. I was perfectly content with just some mouth to mouth action." He stared at his plate, now empty, and then placed it on the ground. "Do you think I'm getting sick?" he asked, turning towards her seriously. "Do you think...maybe I hit my head yesterday and don't remember?" he questioned.

"Hmmmm." She put her hand on his head as if she were taking his temperature, and prodded at his neck as if feeling for swollen glands. "Seems normal to me, but..." She poked his forehead, hard. "Does this enormous protrusion up here mean you hit your head on something? That could explain it, because honestly, you just kissing a girl? That doesn't happen with you for anyone. Well, except me, and that's totally different because those are the forehead bff sort of kisses." She nodded and smiled up at him.

Scorpius gave her a slightly irritated look when she poked his forehead, then rubbed at the area with his hand. "Maybe I'm just in some sort of weird funk," he shrugged. "What if...what if I'm growing out of this sex-all-the-time phase!" He said with slightly wide eyes. "That would be horrible." He sat thinking for a moment then said, "Actually... no. If I wanted to, I'd be okay with finding a girl now. I'd just rather spend time with my bff and am fine with doing only that for now. You're much more important than sexual satisfaction," he said with a smile.

"Wait, wait. Weren't we just talking a few days ago about how you never intend to settle for one single girl? And now are you telling me you're okay with finding one? What's gotten into you?" Pansy laughed, a little confused by all this change in him, but impressed by it. Maybe he was growing up a bit? She knew she had some of that to do this year. "Well, I'm glad you think I'm more important than your sexual needs, though. Means a lot to me, bff, because I know how much your lower head likes to overrule your upper head."

"Yeah, maybe it's just seeing you upset that ruins my mood a bit," he said with a shrug. "I'd give it a few days though, and I'll be back and at it again like before." He thought for a moment of how things better return to normal soon. What if he were to actually one day find a girl...and...date her? That was a scary thought in itself. "You'll always come first though Pans, that I can assure you," he said with a grin. "No matter what I'm doing, where I am, or who I'm with... I'm always there for you, alright?"

"Yeah, normal would be wonderful." So long as we're talking normal like, the day before the party normal. The Draco kissing me normal. THAT normal I'm totally cool with. Pansy smiled mischievously as he assured her she would always come first no matter what. "No matter what you're doing or who you're with huh? So, say you were in the middle of shagging a girl, maybe that one Ravenclaw you're always looking at, and I walked in and needed you..." She drifted off, waiting for his reaction and trying to keep a semi-serious face.

"If you needed me...then...I suppose fine. BUT...it'd be best until you waited until post-orgasm," he said with a grin. He then froze and his brows furrowed for a moment. "Wait...what Ravenclaw? I don't converse with them because they are stuck up and think they know everything." He thought for a moment, realization washing over him. "I'M NOT GOING TO FUCKING EVER SHAG ROSE WEASLEY!" he kind of sort of yelled. "HOW COULD YOU EVEN GO ABOUT INSINUATING SOMETHING SO POSITIVELY DISGUSTING! Merlin," he moaned," resting his head in his hands. "My head burns with the mental image."

"Scorp, trust me, I am not walking in on you while you're getting busy. There are just some things a girl doesn't need to see of her best friend. And GOODNESS! Sorry for even bringing it up, as indirectly as I may have!" She was clutching her stomach in laughter, trying not to fall over. "I think you'll survive. Besides! That is perfectly fine revenge for you not telling me whoever the hell my secret lover apparently is - ANDIKNOWISAIDIWOULDDROPITBUTOBVIOUSLYICAN'T." She added the last bit rather quickly, pointing mockingly sternly at him.

"Bringing up the Weasel is not fair revenge," he said glaring. "And what do you know," he drawled, shaking his head at her. "Tsk, tsk, somebody broke the BFF handshake. I'm extremely disappointed in you Pansy. Very, very disappointed. That handshake hasn't been broken in a good six months. We were doing so well! You know what this means," he said gravely. "I'm very sorry Pansy, but you know the punishment. You must go and get the pink, frilly ruffle dress of yours and wear it for twenty-four hours. It's a shame that you have to extract that thing from the bottom of your wardrobe, but rules are rules."

"Ohhhh no no no no no. That is not happening. Scorp, you've got to be kidding me." She looked at him seriously, a little desperate. She wasn't doing that, especially not with the current circumstances, but she'd play along at least. She flopped over into his lap, grabbing onto his shirt and staring up at him rather desolately. "Please, anything but the dress!"

Scorpius shook his head slightly. "I'm sorry Pansy. You broke the super secret BFF handshake, and for that must pay the consequences." He knew that it would kill her to wear the dress so then offered, "Unless... you can think of an alternative punishment. It has to be something that is equally as bad as wearing that dress," he said, looking down at her with a very serious expression.


Oh. And I want to let you know...I didn't go out, obviously. Aren't you proud? We're all going out tomorrow night now. Hardy har har. Also... my dirty comments are kind of lacking today, just like Scorp's horny-ness. Weird.

"Well that's... a little better I suppose." She crossed her arms, looking up at him and pretending to think. "Equally as bad huh? Well, prancing around in a pink dress for a whole day is pretty terrible. Not sure what else is that bad. Dancing with the giant squid is more fun than the dress, so that's not equal. Nothing's quite that bad, except maybe kissing you, but that'd be worse, borderline cruel, and that's not equal either, so we won't be doing that. Hmmm. This is hard." She blinked up at him, really having no idea what was equal to the torture of the forbidden dress.

I did notice. Hahaha. I still expect a song tomorrow. JS

Scorpius laughed at the image of her dancing with the giant squid. It sure would be quite the entertaining sight. He raised an eyebrow at her curiously as she said that kissing him would be torturous. "Well," he said with a sigh. "Looks like unless you can come up with something else...it's either going to have to be the pink dress or kissing me. You better get thinking quickly because you're running out of time to make a decision. If you don't end up picking something, you'll be forced to wear the dress," he grinned.

Pansy wrinkled up her nose. "You can't possibly make me choose between those two! Come on, there's got to be something better we could think of. All I know is I am NOT wearing that dress. No way, I refuse to put it on, ever ever ever again. I should have burned it when I had the chance." She thought about the large selection from her wardrobe that she wouldn't mind burning, really. Maybe one night the Slytherins should have a bon fire and they could burn Pansy's horrible dresses.

"I'm not supposed to be thinking of anything. I vote dress because that was the established rule when we made the super secret BFF handshake. Now, I'm being a kind and caring lad in letting you try and find an alternative punishment. Well, looks like your time is running out on making a decision. If I were you, I would stop babbling about how I'm such a horrid person with giving you those two choices. You've got thirty seconds to make up your mind," he said seriously. Also, a burning of Pansy's clothes party would be totally and completely awesome...and should definitely happen.

"Scorrrp! I can't possibly... thirty seconds... I am not wearing that dress... you can't... choosing is hard! I have no other ideas!!" She scowled up at him, thinking desperately. Something horrible but not too horrible, something to do that was bad but not terribly embarrassing, something terrible, but wouldn't ruin her if someone saw... Also, yes, this burning clothes party should totally happen, except, after we go shopping, so that she has something to wear other than just her school uniform.

"Come on Pansy...fifteen seconds," he grinned, a bit happy with her obvious struggle in coming up with summer. "What's it going to be? Any new ideas? A kiss? The pink, frilly, ruffly dress? Choices ohhh choicccccessss," he said. Oh how he was immensely pleased with this situation. That's what she got for breaking the BFF handshake. Tsk tsk.

"Come on, help me out here! This is completely unfair, all for just saying one stupid thing? A bit harsh, don't you think? I'm not wearing that dress, and no alternative is very appealing either!" She could tell he was quite pleased with himself and she really wished she'd not said anything or at least remembered about the punishment they'd created along with the handshake, as that would have certainly been enough to deter her from saying anything about it. Only a few seconds left and she was still racking her mind, trying to think of a way out of this. She supposed she could just get up and run.

"Since when where was there an 'I'll help you out and think of an easier punishment rule'?" he questioned. "I don't recall one of those when you made me prance around the school in a pink tutu," he said, not pleased to have brought up that incident once more. "It's not because you said something stupid either Pans, you broke our handshake," he said sadly. "That is an unforgivable low. You need to rectify the situation...and...times up, so you're going to have to tell me what you've chosen to do. Option A, where the dress for 24 hours. Option B, kiss me. Or option C, you tell me one last idea and I'll let you know if it's good or not." He does not add the option D is running because that would not be a good idea. No no.

Presented with a decision, one which Pansy did not intend to make for herself, she panicked a little bit. "Ummmmmmm..." she got up quickly, jumping to her feet and taking off down the hallway. She glanced back over her shoulder, laughing, hoping it would take him a minute at least before he realized what happened, and maybe by then she could be far enough away to find somewhere to lay low until she could get back to a better place to hide out until she figured out an alternative. She knew she couldn't wait for him to forget about it. He wouldn't. So for now she just ran as fast as her feet would carry her.
