Luna is walking along the hallway, feeling a little better after talking to Hermione and having their little adventure. She spots Caradoc, who also looks rather sad. "Oh. Hi Rad," she greets with a small, forced smile before sitting down on the bench beside him. "What's wrong?"

Caradoc blinked and shrugged, smiling when he saw Luna, only to frown again. "Hey there beautiful, nothing's really wrong, just being sulky. You don't look too pleased, though, what's going on? Hermione bothering you?" he asked sharply, quite suspicious.

Luna gives Rad a rather dirty look for that comment, not liking that Hermione is the first on his list to accuse because Luna thinks her girlfriend is perfect. "No," she snaps, sounding rather defensive. "It's not her. It's just...Boys are stupid," she says grumpily, as if this explains everything.

Caradoc blinks, and bursts out laughing, promptly hugging Luna and pulling her tiny little self into his lap. "Oh hey now, I'm not quite as stupid as I look, usually," he said, smiling at her and brushing her blonde hair back. "So tell me, why are boys stupid? I'm assuming the stupid boy in question isn't me, or you would look a little less pleased to see me."

The hug gets a hint of a smile out of Luna, a tiny one. "Because..." She sighs and looks up at him, getting into story telling mode because here she goes again. "My best friend, Dean, decided that it would be a good idea to tell me he has feelings for me at the dance and I didn't know what to tell him because he can't know about Hermione and I don't feel the same way about him at all but now everything is different so I guess I just lost my best friend and that's why boys are stupid." She takes a huge breath after that one because she forgot to breathe while talking, and Luna is dying without the commas because I typed that all in one breath.

Caradoc looked at Luna in surprise, and promptly hugs her tightly, refusing to let go. "Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. Was Dean the gorgeous black guy you were dancing with? I didn't really stay at the party long, but I did see you. I'd have said hi, but you looked rather preoccupied at the time," he explained, smiling sadly at her as he kisses her on the cheek. "I don't think you should be so quick to jump to conclusions. Did he actually say he didn't want to be your friend anymore? That kind of thing doesn't always have to end like that, Lu, unless he wants it to. And even if you can't tell him about Hermione, per say, perhaps you could explain that you prefer women? He wouldn't really need much more of an explanation, I don't think," he suggested, twirling a lock of Luna's hair around his finger.

~~Luna smacks Rad and tells him to go talk to Viktor since he likes him better.~~ Luna sighs and rests her head on Rad's chest. "Yes, that was him. He didn't say anything...I ended up running off because I didn't know what else to do," she sighs. "He just stood there looking like a puppy dog that just got in trouble for something it didn't know was wrong. And he knows I like girls as well. That can't stop him from having feelings for me though, can it?"

"No, it can't, I suppose," he said sadly, stroking her hair and rubbing her shoulder as she leans on him. "I'm sorry, Luna. I don't exactly blame you for running off, even if it wasn't the wisest course of action. Perhaps it would have been best to sort things out then, but now you'll just have to go talk to him some other time-- probably the sooner, the better. Even if you can't tell him it's Hermione, maybe you could tell him you're seeing someone else? Who's still in the closet? Would he respect that, or would his curiosity get the best of him, do you think?"

Luna sighs and shrugs. "I don't know," she mumbles. "I'll think of something." She sighs again, wanting a change of subject because she really doesn't want to talk about this. Especially not after she just found a unicorn with Hermione. She looks up at Rad and blinks. "Why aren't you blonde?"

"The hair? I got depressed and dyed it," he said, smiling a little. "I like it, I think. What do you think?" he asked, because UNLIKE LUNA HE LOVES HIS SIBLING AND CARES ABOUT WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY BECAUSE HE STILL LOVES HIS LITTLE SISTER.

"I kind of messed a whole bunch with a friend of mine, Fabian. It seems we've developed feelings for each other, and he wants to act on them, but I don't think it would be a good idea. You know me well enough to know that relationships and Caradoc Dearborn rarely end well," he explained, continuing to play with Luna's hair. "So there was a good deal of drama over it, but I think I'll be able to fix things with him and his sister, Molly, in due time, which is good."

Luna stares at Rad because she doesn't get that. "Well, if you really care about him, isn't it worth it to try a relationship? I can't see you being the kind of person to hurt people you have feelings for," she says, still looking up at him. "Even if you don't agree."

"I do really care about him Luna, but I'm scared of hurting him, honestly. I always mess up, Lu, fidelity and I simply don't get along. And I've never loved nobody fully, always one foot on the ground," he said, and Eowyn can't resist quoting Regina Spektor lyrics, sorry, because she loves that song so much. "Lu, I'd just fuck it up, and I don't think it's worth the risk of hurting him. What if I got high and cheated on him? Or hell, what if I wasn't high and I cheated on him, 'cause I'm a stupid horny idiot? I don't even know how to be a good boyfriend, Lu, even if I didn't do something like that. And someone like Fabian needs commitment, not someone who hardly ever knows what he wants, when it comes to men. I won't make a promise I can't keep."

"Well...I guess that makes sense if it's what you want. And it is nice of you to do what you think is best for Fabian, but..." She takes a deep breath and looks up at him, tilting her head to the side. "What about what's best for you? Not being with Fabian is making you all depressed and do things like dye your hair, and that's not good. I'm not saying you have to love him. It's just a relationship. They don't bite, you know," she teases with a small smile. If Rad tells Luna that he likes biting, she might faint. Just saying. Do not corrupt my Lunacorn.

"What's best for me?" he asked, thoroughly confused at the question itself. "But that doesn't matter nearly as much as what Fabian wants. I told you, I care about him, and deeply, too. Why would I risk his happiness for some flight of fantasy of my own? And I'm not that depressed. I'm a happy person, and I'll get over it, I always do, when something's got me down. It'll take some effort, but I... I'll be fine," he said insistently, flashing a smile as he always does, because there's no other way to go through life, in his eyes. "And I don't care if they don't bite-- I do. I'd rip it to bits, knowing myself."

"If you say so," she says, still thinking that Rad is silly because as much as she loves her big brother, she thinks relationships are a good thing. "I still don't think you're as bad as you say you are, and that this relationship would work if you really wanted it to. But it's your choice, so I guess...I'll just leave it at that. I found a unicorn, by the way," she adds casually as if she didn't just bring up unicorns during a conversation about relationships.

Caradoc sighs, and hugs Luna close, because inside, he just wants to believe that she's right, and he's wrong about himself, when-- "DID YOU JUST SAY YOU FOUND A UNICORN!? WHERE WAS I AND WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED SOONER BECAUSE UNICORNS ARE AWESOME ~~EVEN IF I LIKE NARWHALS BETTER~~!" he exclaims, flailing wildly and grinning at his little sis.
