He too realizes the last time he saw her was their first 'study' session, where they didn't study much at all. "Luna! Hey! I've been great! What about you? What have you been up to?" He smiles over at her.

Luna does not mention her adventures in the Room of Requirement with Hermione. That would not be a good conversation starter. Or a good conversation at all, come to think of it. "Um. Nothing much. I ended up not going to that mixer. Did you go?"

He could've danced for joy when she said she decided not to go. "Yeah. I went. It was alright. Why didn't you go? It would have been nice to see you there." He smiled at her again, a bit nervous for the answer.

Luna shrugs as she opens up a book, flipping through the pages to avoid looking at Dean because she isn't used to lying to him, and she doesn't exactly like it. Not at all. "Er- I just didn't feel like it, I guess. I don't really like dancing, so I stayed in the common room with some friends and studied and stuff. I'm glad you had fun though," she says as she looks up and smiles at Dean.

He loved her answer and was completely oblivious to the fact she was a lyer mclyer pants. "Sounds like a Ravenclaw night." He chuckles. "So, what are we going to attempt to study today?"

Luna smiles in her Ravenclawness before deciding what to study. "Um. Transfiguration? That's always fun," she says happily, wondering what type of stuff Dean learns in that class since he's older and wiser.

"Sounds good to me." He starts looking through his books until he located his transfiguration book. "What are you guys working on?" He peeked over at her open book, but couldn't really read it upside down.

"We're learning Vanishing spells. Apparently there's going to be a lot about those on the O.W.L.s this year. What are you guys learning?" she asks as she flips through the pages of her book, looking for the page on vanishing spells.

"We just started learning about human transfiguration. It's bloody hard too. I haven't been able to do it yet. There's only been a couple people in my class that have done it." He flips to his section about human transfiguration. "So, how are you with the vanishing spell?"

"That does sound hard, but fun if you can figure it out! Um...I'm...Getting there. It's sort of tricky," she mutters as she pulls her wand out of her pocket. "We've been practicing on snails recently, and soon we're going to be using mice and then kittens. Evanesco," he murmurs as she points her wand at a small rock by their studying spot, smiling as it pales a bit, almost disappearing completely but not quite.

He watches her and smiles. "Hey! That's actually pretty good! That one took me a while to figure out too. Had to do it on an iguana of the O.W.L.s. I actually did it too! I think that was actually the first time I completely vanished something, but I'm sure you'll get it far sooner than I did." He wasn't going to demonstrate his horrible transfiguration skills. He sometime got stuck in an 'in-between' stage, and that just wasn't flattering.

"Thanks," she says, greaming at his compliment. "We're going to be learning Switching Spells too, but we haven't started those yet...Soooo, I don't know how to use them."

"Yeah, those are tough too. We're suppose to be learning how to conjure things soon too and learning how to bring inanimate things to life. I'm sure that's going to be loads of fun." He rolled his eyes and laughed. "Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why I'm taking this class again.."

Luna giggled. "Is it because of your crush on Mcgonagall, perhaps?" she teased as she playfully shoved Dean's arm.

A shock went through his body when she touched his arm, he tried to ignore it and laughed. "That is the grossest thing I've ever heard!" He gave her a little shove back, still grinning like an idiot. "I think I figured it would help me ensure a good job when I'm finished with my N.E.W.T.S." He shrugged.

"Oh, well that works too," she says, grinning like a loon on loon tablets. "Hey! How's the picture of the castle coming along?" she asks curiously as she looks up at the castle, then back at Dean.

"Oh..Well. I guess I finished one, but it's not very good at all." He started leafing through his books again, looking for his sketchpad. "Promise not to laugh?" He bit his lip, nervous to show her the awfully drawing.

"Really?" She scoots over closer to him so she'll be able to get a better look of the drawing when he takes it out. "Of course I won't laugh. I'm sure it looks amazing!"

He looks at her for a moment then sighs. He holds the sketchpad closer to his chest while he finds the right page, making sure she doesn't see any of his other drawings in there. "Okay. Here it is." He turned the sketchpad towards her.

"The towers are really out of proportion. And none of the lines are straight on the roofs. Uggh, it's so bad." He resists the urge to pull the drawing back out of her sight.

Luna examines the picture intently, gently taking it from Dean's hands to admire it. "Dean...This is really good," she says softly, not noticing any of the mistakes that Dean just pointed out, "It's amazing!"

He reached for the drawing, but didn't take it back. "You're just saying that, but thanks. I think I'll stick to people and landscapes...much less complicated." He nodded slowly.

"Well, your drawings of people and landscapes are wonderful, but this is still really good. Especially for your first time drawing a castle," she says before handing it back to Dean. "I really do think it's good though."

He smiled and took the book back. "Well. Thank you, it's much appreciated." He smiled. He sat in silence for a bit, remembering what Remus had said to him once. He had to figure out if there was a boy she liked, but he had to make it seem nonchalant. "So, Luna my dear, tell me. Have you found a love interest yet?" Smooth Thomas, smooth.. He wanted to facepalm, what made him say it like that?! He sounded like an idiot.
