"Hello, Dean!" She grins happily as her best friend sits down next to her. "That was nice of you! I should probably bring a snack next time because...Well, I haven't really been contributing much to these study sessions, have I? Did you make the sammiches?" she asks curiously. She's never met a guy that can make sammiches before.

"I don't mind." He shrugged. "I did make the sammiches! I used to cook with my mum all the time! Remus got the baking skills, but I can make a mean sammich!" He nodded. "Feel free to help yourself if you want." He smiled.

Luna smiles, looking quite impressed with her friend because she doesn't know many guys who can cook. She knows...Caradoc. And she sort of knows Rolf, but she doesn't really know much about his kitchen skills. So she is very impressed with Dean's skills. "I didn't know that!" She grins and reaches into the basket to take out a sammich, and since it wasn't mentioned what kind they were, I'll stick with turkey because that's my favorite. "Wow! They look yummy!" She takes a bite, waiting until she's finished swallowing to gape at Dean. "These. Are. Delicious!"

He grins as she eats, taking out a turkey sandwich as well which is also my favorite. "Thanks. I try. So, what are we going to attempt to study today?" He laughed at their failed attempts to work longer than five minutes each time.

"Hm..." She thinks as she noms on her sammich, trying to come up with a subject that they haven't studied together yet.Well, attempted to study together. There was History of Magic, but that didn't sound interesting at all. "What are you learning in potions this year? We could try studying that today."

He watched her think, but not in a creepy way...maybe a very little. >.> "Ahhh potions. Sadly..no wait, not sadly. I mean, I'm not taking that this year. I can try and help you with your work though. If you want." He wasn't going to confess he was rather horrible at potions. "I used to have to help Seamus a lot. He tends to blow things up."

"Oh! Right. I think you told me that," she says, turning slightly pink because she feels bad for not remembering. She giggles as she imagines Seamus blowing things up, because that mental image is rather silly. "Poor Seamus. I still haven't met him yet." She opens up her book, flipping through the pages until she gets to page 394. "There it is! The Draught of Peace. That's what we're working on in class."

"That's really weird you say that! I was just talking to Seamus about that. I was telling him about our study sessions and he was saying he's never met you. So I was going to ask if he could join us sometime maybe. Or if you just wanted to hang out with us sometime." If only he could ask her on a one on one date. Sigh. "Ahhh, the Draught of Peace, I remember making that." He nodded.

"That would be fun! I'd like to meet him," she says, excited to hang out with Dean's friends because she's never met them. Hm. What if he makes them all up? Nah. He's too cool to not have a ton of awesome friends. "It's sort of tricky, but Slughorn's not a bad teacher so I've been getting better at it."

OMG I JUST WATCHED THAT EPISODE YESTERDAY!!! *loves*

"That one can be really tricky though. You need to do it very precisely. If it gets brewed wrong it can cause a permanent sleep and irreversible sleep. I remember when we had to brew it, mine smelled like sulfur. It wasn't good. I added the powdered moonstone at the wrong time." He was actually quite surprised he remembered all of that.

"Oh!" Her eyes go wide at the though of messing up the potion. "Well in that case, I'll be sure to be extra careful," she says, nodding as she glances down at the book then back up at Dean. "Potions sure doesn't leave room for errors, does it," she mumbles, not really liking the class because Slughorn plays favorites and Luna is not one of his favorites.

"That's the truth. That's why I stopped taking it. Truth be told, I wasn't all that good. I was in a class with Harry, so Slughorn didn't pay much attention to anyone else." He chuckled. "So, do you have to write an essay on that potion, or just studying it to make it perfect?"

"An essay," she sighs. "Which I guess is good because I really don't like brewing potions. Harry was a big favorite, wasn't he? I remember he invited me to one of the Slugclub parties. It was rather boring though."

"Really? That was nice of him. Too bad it wasn't any fun. I bet I could have made it entertaining." He nodded. For some reason he just remembered something. "Oh! The other day I witnessed a catfight! But with..ya know, people..not cats."

Luna giggles. "A catfight? Between who and who?" she asks curiously, not realizing until now how out of the loop she was with everything going on now that she's spending so much time with Hermione.

"Lavender Brown and Dom...umm something or other. It was pretty intense. They were fighting like muggles! Can you believe that! Sirius seemed to enjoy it quite a lot.." Dean liked it because of the blonde. He had a thing for blondes though.

Luna, the blonde, blinked. "Oh. I don't think I know either of them. I sort of know Sirius. He's...We don't get along," she shrugs, not wanting to think about one of the people who thinks she's looney. "What were they fighting about?"

"Sirius can be a bit difficult, but he's my brother's best friend so I can't say too many bad things about him." He shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. I think one is dating one the other's brother and..I don't know. I can't really understand how the mind of a girl works..." He took a bite of his sammich, because I never actually had him eat much of it. Ooops.

Oh right. The sammiches. Luna takes another bite out of hers. "Hm. That seems silly. Girls tend to be rather difficult sometimes," she shrugs. "But I think guys are the same. I'll never understand them," she says with a sigh, glad that she doesn't have to deal with boys right now, because she's got a girlfriend who she finds quite easy to understand.

Dean is immensely glad he cannot hear Luna's thoughts. "I agree. People wonder why I'm single..." He laughed, knowing the REAL reason he was single. "So, what have you been up to. Feel like I haven't seen you in a while."

SORRY! Viktor the duck went missing so I just spent 10 minutes ripping the bed apart to find him. >.> He's safe now.

Luna giggles. "I don't get why you're single. You're a sweet person," she says smiling. "I..." Have been spending time with my girlfriend. "Have been busy, I guess. With classes and homework," she says softly, feeling bad about lying to her best friend.

He grins like a loon when she calls him sweet. "I wouldn't mind having someone to care for, but I suppose when the time is right it will happen." OR when he gets the courage to tell Luna the truth. "About the same for me too. I heard there may be a Halloween party coming up, so I've been trying to think of something I could go as. I was thinking about maybe like a muggle police officer." He nodded slowly.

"A Halloween party? I didn't know about that. I don't usually go to the Hogwarts parties," she admits, twirling a strand of hair around her fingers as she wonders if Hermione will be going. "You would make a good Muggle police officer," she giggles before she realizes she has no idea what he's talking about. "Er- What is a police officer? Do they wear funny hats?"

He chuckled. "Well, I'd love to see you there. Oh! Policemen, they are like Aurors. They go around catching bad guys and putting them in prison. Mostly they just give people pointless tickets for driving too fast, or parking in the wrong spot, but they are there to protect." He thought for a moment. "Yeah, I guess they do wear sort of silly hats, now that I think about it."
