Ted cracked up again, "I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I ruined plans. And couldn't you distract him while I swam for it?"

"Well, something to remind yourself of next time you get a foolish idea, hmm?" Lily says mildy. "And what has you so convinced that I would want to distract him to facilitate your escape, Ted? If he'd shown up, I'd likely have helped him," she says, blushing slightly again as she feels that the towels and the drying charms finish off their work; only her hair is still damp now.

Ted laughed, "True. I don't think I'd want to face the two of you, but you said the squid was nice. Maybe he would rescue me.... or tentacle rape me. Ugh. So many legs."

Lily's smirk at the thought that she and Gideon would indeed be quite the formidable team falls, her nose wrinkling as Ted mentions tentacle rape. "Oh, ew, Ted. Must you always think of sex? Because I really feel like I should tell you this as a friend; when your first thought to do with the giant squid revolves around sex and his tentacles, there are problems. Deep emotional problems."

Ted shot her a glare, "There are so many legs. How can you not think of that? They're everywhere all the time." And we all know Ted has emotional problems. He named his daughter Nymphodora. Emphasis on the Nympho part.

"If there were a dozen penises, I might agree with you. But they're limbs, Teddy dear, and you are sick," Lily says lightly, a slight sing-song edge to her voice. "Sick, sick, sick. We'll cart you off to St. Mungo's to have your head read, and they'll stick you in a padded room." Lily now demands to be named godmother (you know, if she's not busy being dead) because that poor child is going to need all the help she can get.

Ted wants Lily to know that he doesn't have any reasonably stable friends aside from her so of course she can be godmother. He chuckled when she said the word penis. "Well if I'm in a padded room will you still visit me?" He gave her puppy dog eyes, "You'll be the one to put me in there anyway."

"Of course," Lily says smoothly. "It would be remiss of me not to check in every couple of days to double check you'd been fed and watered after all. If you're really good, I might even let you out for a walk!" Lily is both sad and flattered and excited; she didn't think she'd ever be close enough to anyone to have them name her godmother, and now she wonders what's wrong with Ted for not having anyone else closer to him. Silly Lily.

Ted says he has plenty of other close friends but none are even remotely close to mentally capable and would never be allowed near his child. At least not without security nearby. Ted smiled at her and gave her a hug, "Well thanks, I do rather like fresh air."

"Maybe on special occasions I'll take you for a car ride and you can stick your head out the window," Lily says, chuckling as she hugs Ted back. Oh. Lily feels less cool now. Sad days.

Lily is still cool. She's an awesome friend, even if she chucks him in the lake. Ted laughed again, "Well aren't you a generous person." He grabbed his sweater off the dock to pull it back on and realized it wasn't wet but it was cold. Slipping it on he sat up a little more, "Do you want to head back up to the warmth?"

Lily, still huddled into her towel even though she's dry, nods. She feels the cold, unlike Mya who gets away with tank tops in winter sometimes. "Sure. I wouldn't mind sitting next to a better fire than this one before I freeze to death," she says, and extinguishes the little blue flame before vanishing the jar that had housed it. She pushes herself to her feet, adjusting the towel about her shoulders. She doesn't much care how it looks; she's not taking it off until they're safely inside.

Ted stood up and vanished the extra towels before heading back up to the castle with her. When they reached the great hall he smiled at her and pulled her into a hug, "Even if I didn't plan for a swim this was fun." He pressed a kiss to her head and then headed back to Hufflepuff to warm up and dry off.

Parvati walked down here by the lake, before she got shipped off to the Middle Ages might I point out, and she plopped down on the edge of the dock and then proceeded to swing her legs back and forth out of boredom.

Al walked down by the lake with his new project in hand, when he saw Parvati sitting over on the dock.

He joined her and sat down on the edge, setting the boombox in between then. "Hey, Parv! What's up?"

Parvati looked over at Al when he sat down next to her and smiled widely at him. "Hi Al!" She said with a wide smile. "Nothing really." She said as she looked down at the thing he set down in between them. She pointed to it. "Whatcha doing with that?" She asked curiously.

Al grinned and held it up for her to take a closer look. "I've been working on it back in my dorm. It's a muggle music player, but I've charmed it so it'll work on the grounds! See?" To demonstrate, he pushed play then smiled up at Parvati as 'Animal' by the muggle band, Neon Trees, began to play. "Pretty awesome, huh?"

Parvati leaned forward and looked at it curiously. When it started playing music her eyes widened slightly because she isn't a muggleborn or anything. She is a pureblood so she has never seen one before. "Woah." She said as she leaned back slowly and just stared at it. She looked at him and grinned. "That is cool." She said nodding. "And this is a good song." She said as she danced a little while still sitting on the dock.

"I know, right!?" He grinned as Parvati danced along to the music on the dock, and kept the music playing soft enough so they could continue dancing. "I spent all week working on this," he told her with a grin. He thought it was a good way to spend his time, even if he did get behind on his homework because of it.

"Really?" She asked raising an eyebrow as she looked down at it. "Huh. Well at least you accomplished something for the week." She said with a wide grin. "Unlike myself." She said with a light laugh as she continued to dance. "So was it easy to get it to work once you figured it out?" She asked curiously. "Like would you easily be able to do it again?" She asked thinking about the party she wanted to throw. "Because me and some friends were thinking about having a party but none of us are the best at making music magically play."

"It's the only thing I accomplished this week," he clarified with a smirk. "And yeah, once I figured out how to make the spell work it wasn't too hard. I could easily do it again. A party sounds fun! Do you know when it'll be? I'm sure it'd only take me a few hours to make another one of these if you wanted to use one for it," he told her with a grin.

"It will probably be like next weekend." She said, having no idea that next weekend she would be in the middle ages. "Really? Yay!" She said with a wide grin. "I love parties and music just makes them so much better." She said with a wide grin. "You can't have a fun party without music. Well, alcohol helps make it fun too." She said with a light laugh. "But music is the best."

"Agreed. Though, I prefer live music. Not that I would know. I rarely go to the Slytherin parties," he said with a light shrug. "All it is, is drinking and hooking up with random people. And seeing as I've never been drunk, me being at one of those parties could only lead to trouble," he said with a laugh.

Parvati nodded as he said the partied were all drinking and hooking up with Random people. It was totally true. When he said that he had never been drunk her eyes widened slightly and her jaw dropped open. "Wha--What?" She asked with wide eyes. "You have never been drunk in your life?"

Al blinked and shook his head. "No, never. I've never really had anything to drink before, other than like...the random glass of champagne at family gatherings and stuff like that. Why?"
