Ted laughed and threw one of the extra towels on her head, "You hit people so much I'm surprised you have a boyfriend. Or does he like that?" Ted waggled his eyebrows, throughly enjoying provoking her.

"Don't act like you didn't earn that one," Lily says, smirking. "And you're so provocative I'm starting to think that you get something out of it, you know."

Ted laughed at her, "Nothing but an ab workout from all the laughing at you. And I never earn your slaps, I am perfect." He smirked at her and waggled his eyebrows.

"You earn more slaps than I give you, I'm sure," Lily tells Ted. "You are one of the most slapable people I know," she giggles, nudging him playfully.

Ted widened his eyes and gave her a mock offended look, "I am not slappable. And if I am then what does that make you?"

Lily blinks innocently and is so not going to fall for that. "Clearly I am a prefect who moonlights as a slap-dispensing vigilante. Why, what would you have said?"

Ted blinked at her, "A dominatrix." And with that he transfigured the towel around her shoulders into a leather bustier and the one he had thrown at her head into a mask.

Lily lets out a strangled shriek of surprise and horror as the towels about her constrict into binding leather. "Ted Tonks, what in the name of Merlin's saggy Y-fronts is wrong with you!" she hollers. Being far more adept at Charms than Transfiguration, she reaches for her wand and in a move she's used in the past on a certain boy in a certain boat on a certain date where a certain slice of cheese was stolen, she uses winguardium leviosa and sends Ted several feet out into the lake, where he makes a loud splash. "Finite incantatem," she mutters at her new outfit, turning it back into towels.

Ted surfaced laughing and swam back to the dock as she returned the towels back to normal. He smirked as hung off the side of the dock and stared up at her, "Aww you changed it back. Oh well." He tossed his towel onto the dock and flicked his wand at it to dry it off. Somehow he thought putting himself back on the dock wasn't the best move right now so he smiled up at her.

"That was not funny, Ted," Lily snaps, blushing as she wraps her towel -thankfully now a towel again- around her more tightly. She looks away, because she knows his 'you can't be mad at me' smile when she sees it, and she doesn't want to fall for it right now.

Ted swam around the dock to pull himself up in front of her with his 'aww I'm sorry and you can't stay mad at me' face. "Sorry Lils. ~~But it was damn funny and you looked H-O-T-T.~~" He reached out and put a hand on her foot, the only part of her he could really reach from the water.

Lily sighs and counts to five in her head, knowing that Ted will continue to channel all the cutest puppies in the universe until she gives in. She tucks her hair behind her ear, spending a moment to smooth it out because the wet strands are hopelessly out of place -what would Gideon think? "Fine," she says shortly, giving him her best 'prefect' stare. "You know you're lucky not to have lost body parts for that one, right?" She moves over a little, giving him room to pull himself back onto the dock.

Ted is the world's cutest puppy. Seriously. He smiled and pulled himself up, grabbing his towel and wrapping it around himself, casting a couple more drying charms on the both of them. "I am well aware how lucky I am. I do appreciate it." He gave her a quick hug but didn't push his luck.

"Don't push your luck," Lily tells him when he hugs her, shaking her head a little. "And next time you go transfiguring outfits on me without my permission, you'll be getting a lot worse than an unplanned dip in the lake," she promises, then squares her shoulders and gives him a thoroughly scandalised look even while her eyes lose some of their seriousness and begin to sparkle again. "Honestly, what would you have done if Gideon had happened by right at that moment?"

Ted knows he would have died but it would have gone down in Hogwarts history as the best death ever. But instead of admitting his death he returned her eye-sparkle with one of his own, "Well I'd have expected a fruit basket of thanks for the week-of-wonder you two would have run off to have."

"But you might've been ruining so many surprises and plans with that little stunt," Lily says, smirking. "And I don't think you'd be getting a fruit basket, but I'd have been sure to send a lovely flower arrangement to your funeral."
