Ted grinned, "It's not as easy as it seems, especially not with a real goalkeeper there." he grabbed the ball and put it down in front of him, "There you go, try it."

Arthur stared down at the football for several minutes, examining it at different angles. "I think I'm ready now," Arthur said as he attempted to kick the football. Instead, he ended up stepping on the ball and tripping over it onto the ground. Yet Arthur was still smiling as he faceplanted into the grass.

Ted laughed and pulled Arthur up. This guy was absolutely crazy and Ted wondered how he hadn't known him for so long, "Here let me show you," he slowly moved his foot to show Arthur exactly how to kick the ball with the side of his foot, "Now you try."

"Alright," Arthur said. Cautiously, he lifted his foot and gently tapped the ball with the side of his foot. It slowly moved a few inches to the side. Arthur was still beaming. "I didn't fall this time. And it even moved a little!"

Ted kept laughing and patted him on the back, "More force now. Try again and see if you can get it into the goal." He had to admit this guy made Viktor look like a star.

"I can do it," Arthur said. He took a few hesitant steps back before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. He began to run, and managed to kick the football. While it did travel in the direction of the goal, it soared completely above the goal and landed in the grass behind. "Sorry about that. I didn't think I had that much strength."

Ted grinned at him, "That's fine." He jogged around and got the ball, "Just try to kick it more towards the middle of the ball, not the bottom. Then you don't send it up in the air."

"Thanks," Arthur replied. "There's a lot to remember when it comes to this whole kicking thing." Arthur closed his eyes and kicked the football, sending it gracefully into the goal. Unfortunately, Arthur ended up on the ground again, but that did nothing to dull his excitement. "I did it! I kicked the footieball!"

Ted laughed and pulled Arthur back to his feet again, "Good job! Now we just have to keep you on your feet" He collected the ball from the goal and put it down again, "One more try?"

"I think so," Arthur replied. He was ready for this; he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. Arthur ran up to the ball, kicked it, and watched as it soared into the goal. He was barely able to contain his excitement, jumping up and down shouting, "I can kick a football!" over and over again.

Ted was jumping up and down with him, "YOU CAN KICK A FOOTBALL! YOU SAID FOOTBALL RIGHT!" Ted gave him a big hug before running over to grab the ball again.

"It is very exciting!" Arthur replied, happy to have mastered another common Muggle action. "Can you tell more things about Muggles? Like airyclanes and autovoveels and eye-poods?

Ted laughed and sat down on a log, "Okay first off it's aeroplanes, automobiles, also known as cars and iPods. Aeroplanes are what muggles use to fly to different places. Generally long distances."

"Really? Like a portkey? And what are those car things? And are eye-pods like glasses?" Arthur asked, his eyes widening in excitement. He now had a strong desire to ride on an aeroplane.

Ted shook his head, "Not really. It takes time to fly places, like London to New York is 7 hours. Cars are.... erm... well you drive them. They're mechanical and have wheels, we use them the way magical people use brooms. And iPods are a way to listen to music."

"Wow. I don't know how I could ever be a Muggle. Seven hours is a long time to get somewhere. Do cars fly like brooms? And how do eye-pods work? Do they use records or CPs? Are they really big?" Arthur asked. He was extremely excited that someone was actually explaining the Muggle world to him; they only learned so much in Muggle Studies.

Ted shook his head, "No, cars roll on wheels on the roads. And for iPods you wear little things on or in your ears and you can hear the music without needing CDs or records. Honestly no one has used records in a long time."

"Really? How do you get the car to move? Do you push it? And how does the music come into the earwhigs that the eye-poddies use? And what are CPs?" Arthur asked. These Muggle were so fascinating; he always wanted to learn more.

"CDs are disks that you put in a player and listen to music off of. And there's a cable connecting the earphones to the iPod." Ted is so glad that there's finally a pureblood interested in muggle things.

"Really? That's amazing; I don't how that would work without magic. Muggles are amazing! Do you know about elekelticity and batteries and pugs and all those things? That's what makes the eye pods work, right?" Arthur said. He really hoped that Ted had one of those music players; he'd love to see how one of those worked. But would they work with the magic around Hogwarts? According to Jorgeson's First Law of Muggle-Magical Interaction...what was Jorgeson's First Law anyway and why did it matter anyway? He just really wanted a eye pod.

"Plugs and electricity? And yes, batteries make the ipods go. Muggles have found many ways of working without magic. It's actually interesting to come here and realize what wizards have used instead. Like you don't have anything like cellphones, they're a way of talking to people anywhere anytime."

Ted laughed, "You can see my house and I don't have any of them here. Actually I do have my ipod here but it doesn't work. Oh I think I have a car magazine back in my dorm. I'll show it to you some time."

"Really? Thank you. I don't care if it doesn't work." Arthur was extremely excited about the car magazine. "And what do Muggles eat? Is it the same as wizards?"
