Polly giggled and set both their drinks down before linking her arm with his. "Let's head out now. Eet is razzer 'ot in 'ere, isn't? Ze cool air will feel good." Well, eet is not just ze temperature zat is 'ot in 'ere... Her eyes shown brightly in the dance lights, and she held the skirts of her dress in her other hand so she wouldn't step on them as they left the room.

James was mildly disappointed that Fleur didn't catch his reference, and point out that they had stopped spinning. Whatever. He would just soldier on like James do. He mentally added the required "We've stopped spinning" line in his head, then leaned forward a little, slowly, and pressed his lips to Fleur's. He really liked Fleur. Mostly the reason he asked her to prom. You know. That dance you go to with people you like. Only... she didn't seem to feel the same. The kiss felt wrong, but he knew it wasn't him. He started to lean forward more, trying to make it feel right, but Fleur pulled away. He knew from the look in her eyes what she was thinking. It wasn't him. It would never be him. He wasn't who she wanted. He swallowed, and stared straight into her eyes, trying not to look too hurt. He took a step back, away from Fleur, then another, and then he was walking out of the hall. Forcing himself not to look back, he left Fleur standing on the dance floor, probably waiting for Sirius anyway.

Fleur stood on the dance floor. Alone. Her hand had flown to her lips, her fingertips gently touching where James had kissed her. He had left. Left out of the dance. She had been left at a dance. That had never happened before. She resisted sitting in a slump on the dance floor and walked over to a chair on the sidelines, her head aching trying to connect what had just happened. She must look like an idiot. Abandoned at a dance. She had never felt so humiliated.

Penny wandered in wearing the dress you can find on page one of the prom dress thread. she smiled when she saw Marcus and walked up behind him wrapping her arms around and clasping in the front

Penny smiled and got her groove on, not having a care in the world besides her and Marcus at the moment. she danced with him for a while and then leaned in "drinks?" she gave him a puppy dog look

Penny smirked and grabbed the bottle, opening it and taking a swig "Thanks love" she smiled, and then it faltered, a strange sensation washing over her. she had thoughts of one Fabian Prewett and began looking around, trying to seek him out. "Marcus...would you happen to know where i can find Fabian?"

"Thanks," Liz says to the really really cute, well sexy, guy who had helped her, and saved her beautiful dress. Unlike some people he actually helped her. Stupid Slytherin, always in the way and spilling shit all over. (no offence intended, is kinda pissed)

Liz looks around, this place is like deserted. She shrugs, all the better maybe no one saw my holey dress....

Phaedra strolled in...she wandered over to the punch bowl to get a drink. She sniffed it to make sure it hadn't been spiked.
