Tolga just stared at him. He did not understand. Reg and Viktor were perfect for each other, and he was friends with both. If they were no longer together, does that mean he can't be friends with both? But Reg needed him, little naive idiot. And Viktor was like his brother, even though they barely spoke. He was very confused. "Vy?"

"... Tolga, we haven't been getting along for weeks. I caught him snogging Cedric, so I went off and snogged Lucius Malfoy in anger, and then we've been fighting about other things like muggleborns and the such, and dark magic, and then he snogged Sirius in front of me and they were practically getting it on so I stormed off and I ended up getting drunk which was stupid enough in itself and I slept with Lucius whom my cousin Narcissa has a huge crush on and I feel terrible but she's not mad at me and anyway Viktor found out somehow and we've been fighting so much lately and go days without talking and finally he just... we just... broke up, last night," he said, trying to stop rambling before Tolga's head exploded. "... Sorry."

Tolga was confused. So, to be safe, he put his gun down, sat down, and thought. Now, this is not a typical occurrence, because Tolga is fiercely loyal to a few, and follows and backs them without question. He decided a list would be the most helpful. So, he began to scratch into the dirt with his wand. Arguing for weeks: Viktor-1, Reg, 1. Viktor snogging ~~Deadric~~ Cedric: Viktor-2, Reg-1. Fighting about stuff: Viktor-3, Reg-2. Viktor snogging Sirius in front of Reg: Viktor-4, Reg-2. Reg getting angrily drunk and having sex with Lucius: Viktor-4, Reg-3. "Vell, according to my figures," he gestured to his list, "Viktor has more rrong points than you, but I can't hate him, he is like a brother to me. And you haff messed up before." He fell silent and thought some more. This is the most exercise his brain has done in ages. "I haff to be friends vith both ov you."

"...Really? You'll still be my friend?! Squee!" Regulus hugs Tolga but does not try to tackle him like last time, and instead just hugs him very tightly. I think today is the first day they hugged. Aweeh. Reg is just that much of a sad kitten. "I would have been really sad, you know, if you weren't still my friend."

Tolga didn't know what to say. He knew Reg needed him, more than Viktor did, if he was honest with himself. Hugging him was a little kid, one who had played with drugs and had been raped, one who had been hurt by Pansy, one who was hurt by his boyfriend... a little kid who made bad decisions and was easily influenced. He needed a guardian, a secret one, who would help him grow up and become the man he could be. He needed someone to protect him from himself. Tolga slung a causal arm around him and said, "I vill alvays be your friend." Tolga knew this could cause problems with Viktor, but Reg needed someone. Viktor had a huge group of people to support him. Reg had no one but him. He would stick to both, in his dumb guard dog way.

Regulus lit up and smiled brightly at him, glad to have someone like him around. "Thank you, Tolga. That means a lot to me. So, er, how've you been, since I think I just told you how I've been, I guess," he asked, finally stopping hugging him. Aweh. Reg like, never hugs anyone, but he's been hugging Lucius plenty and now Tolga, too. Poor kid just misses hugs from Viktor, I think. -pats-

"... Homework? Really? That's it? We need to hang out more, so you're not just... doing, well, nothing. My life has obviously been quite eventful. I even had a run in with Pansy last night," he said with a slight shudder, still confused about how that had gone. He could have sworn he'd heard her crying later, but that must have been a mind trick; Parkinson just doesn't cry, she doesn't have a heart.

We.. sort of talked, sort of argued, sort of fought a little bit muggle-style, not a lot, she hit me and pinned me down and I kicked her off, and she sort of used the Cruciatus Curse on me, but I think by the time I left, we'd come to some sort of truce, really," he said, still confused.

"I don't understand either, don't worry. But I'm just happy she didn't kill me, I kind of couldn't keep my mouth shut, it was right after Viktor dumped me, really," he said shrugging. "I think it's just that we realized we had a lot more in common than we'd like to admit."

Regulus sighed and shook his head. "Tolga, I know you would do that for me, but I don't want you to. I'm tired of other people fighting for me, I want to be able to stick up for myself for once. It's always someone else doing it for me, and I don't want to live like that anymore."
