she stood up and looked at him, anger rising. "Marcus, I can tell you're hiding stuff from me and it isn't going to get any better if you just continue to sit there and pretend nothing's wrong. why won't you talk to me?"

He stood up so he could make eye contact with her head on. "Penny. I'm not HIDING anything from you! And I am talking to you if you haven't noticed..This is talking." He said gesturing in between them.

she threw up her arms in exasperation "I don't know Marcus! All I know is she was like, one of your best friends, and for you to all of a sudden not want to see her anymore concerns me!"

He shook his head. "Tam was never one of my best friends. Yeah..she was a friend...but not that great of one." He said bluntly.

"Penny, I'm not yelling at you." He said bluntly. "If I was yelling at you. You would be much more upset." Because if he started yelling he would prob say some things he would regret saying.
