Lucius narrows his eyes suspiciously at Regulus because based on how he acted the other day, Lucius thinks he might already know. "Oh. I just don't like her is all," he says casually.

"And that makes her different from any other mudblood how? Unless you seem to have taken a liking to a few of them. I thought you were of the opinion that there is no such thing as a likable mudblood," he replied swiftly.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"And I still think that," he said quickly. "Which is why I don't like her, and plan on never speaking with her."

"You don't seem to have a problem talking to that Weasley girl you mentioned."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"...That's different. I may be an ass, but I'm not going to insult Faye. She is my cousin's girlfriend after all," he explains as if this is obvious, though he's starting to get annoyed because Regulus is starting to sound like he knows about that night with Faye. "I highly doubt he would approve of that."

[Guest]

"True enough, though I couldn't care less if he was pissed off or not. I might like you, but I despise your cousin," he said, too lost in his own thoughts of hating Scorpius to keep pressing about Faye.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"You what? And why is that?" he asks curiously because usually Lucius is the one that people hate. Don't know why. It's not his fault he's so pretty and only likes certain people.

[Guest]

"Er- I can't really go into it. We used to be friends, then he did something with- I guess the easiest way to put it is we had a nasty falling out, and I think the last time I saw him I punched him in the face, so yeah. We don't really get along."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Hm. Well, you better not ever punch me in the face. It's much prettier than my cousin's," he says nonchalantly, though he sounds dead serious. No one messes with Lucius' hair or face. "I don't blame you for not liking him. He's sort of a disgrace to the Malfoy name. Dating a Mudblood and whatnot."

"I could never punch such a pretty face. It's practically blasphemy," he said equally seriously. "It could be worse. He could be Sirius."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"This is true. It must be embarrassing to share a name with him," he says with obvious distaste. "Is it true that your mother had his name taken off that family tree of yours?"

[Guest]

"The minute he walked out the door. There's a rather large scorch mark there now," he remarked, quieting at the memory of the night, and losing himself in sad thoughts. "It was terrible, when I first got here. Everyone automatically assumed I would be just like my disgrace of a brother. Most people have realized how ridiculous that notion is now."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Yes," he says with a small smile. "You're obviously very different. Not a Gryffindor for one," he says with an eye roll. "Honestly, I didn't know what to think when he got here and got sorted into that house. I expected better from a Black."

Regulus shrugged. "We all did. He's the only one to have ever been in Gryffindor. My first year, I wasn't even sure where I wanted to be- I wanted to follow him, I guess, but needless to say, I'm most certainly glad now that I didn't."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Hmph. If I got into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff I would have left. Gone off to study at Durmstrang where they teach real magic," he said with a grin, though inner Viktor knows Lucius would hate it there. The trousers don't match the boots.

HAHAHHA.

"Indeed. I'm always asking my friend Tolga about Durmstrang- not Viktor, he doesn't get understand- they really do teach real magic there. The two of them, though mostly Tolga, I think, know magic that is probably forbidden to even speak of here. I can't wait to go to Bulgaria in the summer- it's a different world there- different beliefs, among the wizarding community. I'm hoping to do some research while I'm there."


Eowyn's head is unnaturally quiet. She kind of wants a visitor, just to make things more fun.

LUCIUS IS HAPPY HERE NOW. AS IS VIKTOR. LUNA CAN COME THOUGH. SHE'S MAD BECAUSE SHE THINKS I DON'T LOVE HER ANYMORE. SHE WANTS TO GO BAKE STUFF WITH CARADOC.


"You're going to Bulgaria with Viktor? That'll be... Fun, I suppose," he says slowly because he's pretty sure the Black family isn't going to approve of this. "Well, you should definitely write to me about what you learn there. I highly doubt I'll be allowed to visit. If Viktor is friends with Sirius then he certainly won't like my company."

AWWWW. LUNA IS WELCOME ANYTIME. I JUST TOLD RAD AND HE JUMPED UP AND DID THE HAPPY DANCE AND IS NOW RUNNING ABOUT LIKE MAD TO MAKE THIS THE BEST NIGHT EVER FOR BROTHER SISTER BONDING TIME.

"Er, yeah. I- I'm moving in with him this summer. I kind of have to, once my parents find out about him- me- I'll likely find myself off the tree as quickly as Sirius, so I haven't got many options," he said very quietly, staring at the ground and not quite meeting Lucius' eyes. "You know of my parents. They wouldn't see reason about this- me- so I've had to make other arrangements. It won't be so bad," he said, though he looks utterly lugubrious at the thought of his family again. "No, he wouldn't approve of your company in the least. He didn't seem too pleased when I mentioned I'd been speaking to you earlier," he said, shaking his head. "That doesn't matter. If he can spend his time with Sirius, I can spend my time with whomever I like, and you're not bad company."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"No. I'm not bad company," he echoed, though he was still in shock over Regulus' decision. "You can hang out with whoever you want, but Regulus...Are you sure about this? It's sort of a big decision," he says slowly, trying to make eye contact with Regulus. "You really want to give up your family for some guy? I mean, he's sexy as hell and you talk about him like he's the nicest guy alive, but is he worth giving up everything?"

Regulus met his eyes and frowned, staring back at him sadly. "It is. It has to be. He's everything to me, Lucius. I love my family. I do. Before Viktor, they were everything I lived for, that was all I ever dreamed of, living up to the Black family name. When Sirius left, and I became heir- suddenly things were different, though. There's a lot more pressure and a lot more responsibility, and that would all be okay, because look at what else comes with the title- but I wouldn't ever be with anyone. Even if, Merlin forbid, I don't end up with Viktor in the end, it would only be another man, and the same thing would come of it. It would only be delaying the inevitable. I'm not going to magically be not-gay someday. And I don't want to be alone. I'd rather give it all up, than be alone."

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius stood there quietly listening to everything Regulus had to say. "Wow, Regulus. I knew you liked the guy, but I had no idea. I guess it's your choice in the end. As long as you know exactly what you're giving up," he said feeling relieved that he liked both men and women. He would end up marrying some pureblood woman and if he got bored he could always sneak around with random men at the studio. "I just don't want you giving up everything because of someone you just met this year, you know?"

Regulus sighed and nodded. "I know. But it feels like I've known him so much longer, after all we've been through together. I won't give him up, not for anything. Not the money, nor the respect- my family," he murmured. "What would you do?" he asked suddenly. "What would you do, if you had to make the same choice?"

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius looks shocked when Regulus asks for his advice. "Regulus, it's pretty obvious that I'm a lot different then you. Honestly," he says slowly, pausing before answering because he knows Regulus won't like what he hears. "I would stick with my family. There's a lot to lose by staying with another man like that. I already know my plan. I'll find some pureblood witch that my parents approve of, and marry her," he says calmly. "To me, guys are fun to fool around with, but I stay away from having actual relationships with them like you have with Viktor. It just wouldn't look good for the Malfoy heir. I know you don't like the idea, but if I were you I wouldn't go with Viktor. I'd choose my family because that's the most important thing to me. Like I said Regulus, it's your decision in the end. I'm just giving you my honest answer."
