Rose picked up one of the mugs. "If this is poisonous, then we're getting poisoned together. On the count of three: one... two... three!" She took a big sip of the hot chocolate and her eyes widened.

Vee didn't mean to, but she hadn't been prepared to sip yet, so she drank half a second later. When the chocolate touched her lips, she sighed happily. This was perfect. When she saw Rose's eyes widen, she choked. "AAAAH! POISON!" She rushed over to her friend.

Rose set down her mug, "No, not poison. It's just so wonderful." She sighed dreamily. "I could drink a gallon of this stuff. You're a genius from the idea to get the recipe, you know." She took another sip.

"Oh. Thank god. Yes it is very very very very good." Vee was off in a dreamland of hot chocolate. "We should show this to the house elves. Maybe they can put it on the breakfast table." Yummmmm

Somewhere in the back of her mind, Rose was worried that maybe unicorn horn powder was a sedative. But she was too happy about this hot chocolate to worry about that. She hopped up onto the counter and took another sip, then had the lick the whipped cream of her lip. "We should talk to the house elves. Do you think that sales witchy would mind if we did?"

"To answer truthfully, she looked about to breathe fire when we wanted to see it, so I would say yes." And the unicorn horn isn't a sedative because Vee is wide awake, just very happy. Maybe it's a drug of some sort though, but that could just be the chocolate

Rose laughed, "She did look pretty funny, didn't she? And she wasn't very friendly, either. If I worked there it would be the best candy store in the world. I'd set up games or something where you could win your candy. Because the only thing better than chocolate is free chocolate."

"Someday I shall inherit gold from my uncle, be blasted off the family tree, and buy Honeyduke's. Then I shall give away chocolate to poor students who are all worn out from studying. And I will sell hot chocolate all year 'round, but then that's a given."

"It is pretty dumb that they only sell it in the winter. I bet it would go really well with skating on the lake, though." Rose pictured herself doing laps, then returning to the common room to read a good book and drink some of this heavenly concoction.

Vee has a similar mental image that has popped up in her brain, accompanied by snowball fights and a soft blanket. "Sometimes I almost like winter." That wasn't true she liked snow and Christmas as and stuff but it was too damn cold.

Rose nodded, "I know what you mean. The activities are fun and snow seems really peaceful, but once the cold and the wet get to you..." She shivered and took a sip of the hot chocolate, "I almost feel like it's winter now."

"You won't once we get outside." Vee said darkly. The forecast was too high. "I don't really like hot weather a lot either, I guess. Unless I am swimming. I love swimming, even if I'm not very good."

"I am a pro swimmer. Next time we hang out we have to go swimming in the lake. It's pretty shallow at first, so the Grindylows don't usually come." Rose smiled, "And if one or two of them do happen to come close, they're easy to fight off in small numbers."

[LOL that's cool. If I end up taking a while it'll be because I dozed off... Although time has literally flown. I swear that 5 min ago it was almost 9 and now it's 11:30 where I am.]

"Sounds fun! I've gone swimming in the lake before. It's really fun once you get used to the plant covered bottom." No nee to mention that last time she went in the lake a grindylow grabbed her and evaded all the spells and punches she had aimed at him.

Rose finished off her hot chocolate and set the mug down with a clatter. "And we should actually play Quidditch, too, instead of just sitting on the field like we ended up doing." She looked down at her shorts, "Not that I was prepared to play today."

"We seem to be creating an ever growing list of things we should do. Which now includes a sleepover with popcorn and a movie. And ice cream." Vee finished her mug of chocolate and wiped the whipped cream off her upper lip. "That was the best. It was... Magical!" You couldn't get it in the muggle world, it had unicorn horn in it.

"A sleepover. Definitely a must-do." Rose nodded, "I should probably get going, though. It's getting pretty late and I'm kinda tired." She smiled, "I'll see you around, though. We need to get at that list."

[Unfortunately I'm much to tired to be writing right now, and I probably won't be on for a good two days. Sad

Vee was sleepy too, so she said bye to Rose and went back to her common room to read.

Kras and Reed wandered into the kitchen and Kras made Reed sit before they did anything. After all, he wasn't going to let his boyfriend get hurt in the kitchen. "Soooo...vot vould you like to eat?" He asked, leaning with his elbows on the table and his chin in his hands, gazing over at Reed.

Reed blushed as he was made to sit, but was grateful that his boyfriend knew not to let him anywhere near kitchen supplies. "Honestly, I could literally eat anything right now." Suddenly being in the kitchen made him feel a bit ravenous. "So, whatever you feel like making, it doesn't have to be some big meal either. Something simple is fine."

"Hmm..." Kras stood and thought about it for a second. "oh, I know. How about just some toast and some fruit? That's alvays a yummy breakfast." he shrugged, going through the stuff to make their simple breakfast. He set a whole different bunch of fruit out and then made some easy toast and put jelly and butter out for them too. It definitely didn't take very long. "Here ve go. Simple but still good." He sat next to Reed because he didn't feel like sitting across from him on the other side of the table. That was just too far away in his opinion.

Reed smiled at the food, then at Kras. "Perfect. Just like you." He giggled a little and scooted a little closer to Kras, so that they were brushing against each other. "Hmm, what's your favorite fruit?" He realized that was one of the things he didn't know about Kras. He started piling strawberries and raspberries onto his plate, then grabbed some toast and put some of the yummy looking jelly on it.

Kras grinned, quite happy when Reed moved closer so they would brush against each other every now and then. "My favorite fruit...vell, I like bananas...and blueberries, but mostly bananas. Yep yep." he cut the banana up first before eating it though. It was just an odd thing he did. "Let me guess...you really really love strawberries? I'm just guessing since you put a lot of them on your plate. Raspberries too...but you vent for the strawberries first. So that's my reasoning. Am I right?" he chuckled, nomming a bite of toast.

Reed nodded happily, popping a raspberry in his mouth. "I always have trouble deciding which I like more. Someday's it's raspberries, other days it's strawberries. In our house in Ohio, there was a raspberry bush in the back yard, and I would always go and pick the raspberries right off the bush! My mom always yelled at me though, because they weren't properly washed. But they were so good!" He popped in a few more pieces of fruit then took a bite out of his toast.

Kras blinks. "You didn't vash them???" Yeah...Kras likes making sure all his fruit and vegetables are washed properly. "Oh boy..." he chuckled. "I alvays make sure my fruits and veggies are vashed properly. I've never just...eaten fruit right off a bush." he nommed on more food, rather happy with their simple breakfast. "I suppose it vould be okay if they at least tasted really good."
