"Potter. Though, while we're at it, we may as well get Black too. But Potter, definitely. He. NEEDS. TO. DIE!" he yelled, drawing many stares from various people around him. Heh, at least having people think I'm insane has its uses. Wouldn't be nearly as scary and powerful otherwise. He gave the death stare to a second year just for the fun of it, and chuckled as she too ran away. Suddenly, Pansy approached, and his mouth felt horribly dry. "Pansy. Hey. Right. Potter. Murder. Yay?" he said, his voice strained as his eyes darted around the room, trying to form some sort of escape plan.

[Shit. I don't have any idea how I'm going to explain my behavior to you. Or how I'm going to ever not be terrified of you. We need to be friends O_O]

Autumn began to get the feeling that she shouldn't be hearing this, so she turned her back to the other, picked up her book, and tryed to tune them out. She never was good at tuning people out...

"Er, yeah. What's with you, Sev?" She sat down on the arm of his chair, knowing that her proximity would make him nervous, but would not allow him to escape her. She wanted to know why he was suddenly so keen to avoid her gaze, to escape her presence. It was odd, seeing as she was usually the one he went to when he was feeling rough.

Severus gulped as Pansy sat beside him. Shit. Act normal. Normal? Shit! I don't know how normal people act! Ahhhh! He forced himself to look at Pansy, deciding to act to the best of his ability as if nothing was wrong, as if he hadn't been screwing Draco. Right. Normal. She's going to kill me. Thank god she doesn't know shit about legilimency, and even if she did, thank god I'm strong enough to keep her out of my mind. "Lily. Idiot girl. Apparently James as been after her again, and she doesn't seem to realize what he is! HOW CAN SHE BE SO STUPID!? Didn't he hurt her enough already? I'm going to kill him, I'm going to wring his neck, I'm going to put him threw a blender, and serve him to the thestrals as stew," he said, ranting. "I tried warning her about him and she got pissed, saying she could take care of herself. Right, as if I should believe that, when she's being obstinate enough about letting him back into her life. I'm gonna fry that bastard and turn him into onion rings! I'LL TRANSFIGURE HIM INTO A FUCKING ONION, I MEAN IT! ONION RINGS ARE DELICIOUS!"

He turned to face Tam again. "Of course I did you idiot. Stupid girl. Believes in second chances, believes there's good in everyone. I told her the world didn't work like that, and she was stupid for thinking so. Right. Oh, there's good in everyone! I'M A PERFECT FUCKING ANGEL, AREN'T I?!" he screamed, chucking a book at a first year. "Told her to go find James, if that's what she wanted. I've done my best, if she wants to screw herself over, there's nothing I can do about it. Except kill him. Which is why I'm plotting murder. Now will you stop asking stupid questions and help me figure out how to turn him into an onion? I'M HUNGRY!"

Pansy wasn't sure what to say about Sev's rant. It was something he'd normally say, maybe, except for the way he said it. He kept looking around nervously, and his hands were shaking. She wished she knew what was really going on. As Tam led him off toward the kitchens, she sank back down into her chair, feeling utterly clueless and stupid for not understanding what was wrong with him and why he wouldn't look at her for more than a second.

She laughed, realizing how illogical the conversation must have seemed someone who didn't know Severus as well as she did. She hadn't even noticed how random the onion rings statement had been until it had been pointed out to her. "Yeah. I'll just ask him about it later, I guess. Those two can get pretty random."
