Re: Cluster of Tables
Parvati grinned widely. "Come on, this is me we are talking about." She said with a light laugh. "We've done it all." She said nodding. "And it was amazing."

"Yeah, that was a dumb question," Padma said with a facepalm. "You can spare me the intimate details, though. I was just wondering."

Parvati smiled widely at her twin. "Okay, I'll make sure not to go into depth. It was really nice though. We didn't do it until we were in love and it really did make it a lot better." She told her with a small nod and continued eating up her noodles.

"Parvati Patil, is this a first? 'We didn't do it until we were in love.' I'm very proud, twin." She smiled back at her sister. "But besides James, has anything been going on?"

"Yes, it was a first for me and I actually was really glad we did wait." She said with a wide smile. "Umm, nothing much. Just kind of been hanging around, cheering and all that stuff." She said with a small nod.

"My sister, just hanging around. I find it hard to believe, but well, not doing a lot is always nice," Padma said with a nod. She slurped up some noodles like Chinese people do. I think it's considered polite there.

Parvati laughed lightly. "Well, I don't know. I've been spending time with James and stuff." She said nodding. "I went to his house for spring break." She said and slurped some of her noodles.

Re: Cluster of Tables
Angelina wanders into the Great Hall, wondering if they even serve food in the middle of the afternoon. To her luck, they do, so she takes a sandwich from the Gryffindor table, puts in on a plate, and heads over to a smaller, separate table. She bites in gratefully - due to a small sleep in, and studying her newest book of Quidditch plays in bed, she hasn't eaten yet today, despite the fact it is well past lunch time. She pulls the book out of her bag she had been carrying, opening it with one hand and continuing reading as she eats.

Re: Cluster of Tables
Jack struts into the Great Hall, having spent his last day or so similarly occupied, except not with Quidditch play-books. NEWTs are featuring quite prominently in Jack's life at the moment, so he hasn't quite been the social butterfly he'd like to of late. He makes a beeline for the Ravenclaw table, sitting down and piling a couple of sandwiches onto his plate. He glances around the Hall as he takes his first bite, spotting a familiar head of glossy dark hair bent over a book at one of the smaller tables. Grinning, Jack conjures a tray and sets his plate on it. Then, he adds a pitcher of pumpkin juice and two goblets, and a plate of cakes. He floats the tray over to Angelina's table and sets it down in the middle with another grin. "Dessert?"

Re: Cluster of Tables
Angelina misses Jack strutting, which is quite a shame because she would have loved to mock him for it - she is still buried in her book. In fact, she doesn't hear him approaching until he puts the tray in front of her on the table, when she looks up with a start. Seeing Jack there, however, makes her smile and she indicates for Jack to take a seat with her spare hand. "Maybe. We'll see."

Re: Cluster of Tables
Jack would like Angelina to know that his strut is not mock-worthy, it is a masterpiece in the art of walking. "Oh, don't force yourself," Jack laughs, because it amuses, fascinates, and just occasionally baffles him that Angelina does not immediately jump to respond to his attentions. "I'm sure I could manage to polish it off alone if you really didn't want to share." He slides into the offered seat and pulls his plate of sandwiches over to himself so that he can eat. "Miss me?" he asks, which in reality translates to 'I missed you but I can't be the first one to say that'. She does so love mocking him, after all.

Re: Cluster of Tables
Angelina insists that even if it was a masterpiece, which she highly doubts, she would mock it nevertheless. And she's pretty sure Jack (or at least Inner!Jack) realises that. Her smile turns wry, as she reaches for another piece of her sandwich and bites into it. She still hasn't put her book down, and keeps it open, as if she's keeping it just in case Jack bores her and she wants to read instead. "I'm sure you could manage that - in fact, I'm pretty sure I could too, if I tried. And I'm not sure if I want to answer that... I can't have you inflating your head any further than it already is, after all." This basically translates to 'Yes, but I won't admit it until you do because that would be showing weakness and I refuse to show weakness'.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"I'll take that as a 'yes'," Jack says brightly, and has a big -but not disgustingly rude because he does have manners- bite out of his sandwich. Once he swallows his mouthful, he smiles, but it is much warmer than his usual cocky grin. He likes to keep things light and fun, but he doesn't want her to think he's completely insincere. "So what is the elusive and fascinating Miss Johnson reading today?" he asks, peeking over her shoulder to get a look at the page.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"Take it as whatever you like, then," Angelina replies just as brightly, although there is a mocking tone creeping into her voice. "Well, I don't know about her, but I am reading 'Top Quidditch Plays', if you must know. It only came out a week ago, and I am making sure I keep up to date so that none of the other Houses catch us by surprise this season." She closes her book now that Jack is trying to read the page, bending and placing it back in her bag carefully. Sitting back up, she reaches for a goblet and pours herself a glass of pumpkin juice, taking a long sip.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"Oh, I will," Jack smirks, not missing the mocking tone of her voice. He nods knowingly as she answers his question. "Ah, quidditch, I might've known." He pours himself a drink as well, taking a mouthful to force himself not to yammer incessantly at her. Jack will never admit it in a million years, but Angelina shakes his cool just a little bit. He smiles to himself as she puts the book away, thinking that at least he has her attention now more than before. "I'm sure you'll have the whole book memorised in a week, won't you? I'm almost a little shocked I didn't see a million post-it notes sticking out of the pages for the ones you want to try out in the air first."

Re: Cluster of Tables
"I might have it memorised soon, but I have to finish it first. And the post-it notes come after I've read the whole thing, obviously. Because I won't know what's good and what's relevant until I've read the whole thing!" She explains, before polishing off the rest of her sandwich. She sits in silence for just a minute, her mind somehow thinking about her Quidditch book and Jack at the same time.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"Oh, right," Jack says, as if that's the most obvious thing in the world and is not a completely new concept to him. "Guess that's where I've been going wrong - I always mark the pages I want to go back to when I read a new text for the first time. That might explain why I go through so many post-its," he muses, because by the time he is done usually every other page is marked.

Re: Cluster of Tables
Angelina can't help but giggle at Jack's words. "That must be it. Totally," she says. "Do you assign a yearly budget of post-its, or do they ship them in for you from wherever they are made because you use so many? You must be a post-it valued customer." She comments off-handedly, reaching for a cake and tearing off a small piece to pop it in her mouth.

"Well, not to big-note myself, but I could hook you up with a pretty sweet discount if you ever wanted," Jack says, completely straight-faced. Then he joins in her laughter. "What can I say? I've got to have at least one nerdish vice if I want to call myself a Ravenclaw, don't I? I think it's written into the job description."

Re: Cluster of Tables
"I'll keep that in mind," Angelina replies cheekily. "This is true - and it's not even really in the job description, just the House Song. Although I think the House Song has more authority than any job description, if you ask me. And you did!" Still tearing small pieces off her cake, she finishes it off and lifts her goblet to her lips, draining it of the rest of the pumpkin juice.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"Well how could I argue with you? There's just no higher authority in the world than the word of a raggedy old hat with a smart mouth," Jack agrees and shrugs, starting in on his second sandwich, his eyes following the elegant column of Angelina's throat as she finishes her pumpkin juice, taking in the rich, warm-looking skin. "Wonder if we could ever get it to talk about some of the things it's seen in Dumbledore's office - can you imagine the stories?" he says, tearing his eyes away.

Re: Cluster of Tables
"Definitely not. Presidents and prime minister and kings, move aside." Angelina says, nodding. She catches him watching her drink, and she blushes, but as she puts her goblet back on the table the corner of her lips turn up, as if the fact he is watching her amuses her. Which, in fact, it does. "Even seeing it's Dumbledore we're talking about, I doubt I'd want to hear some of those stories." It doesn't really occur to her that she could mean sex, if that had even taken place in Dumbledore's office - more that she wouldn't want to hear about boring things.

Re: Cluster of Tables
Jack bursts out laughing; he can't help himself. It's always a fairly short leap for him to get to sex in any conversation, but this wasn't so much a leap as a minuscule shuffle. "Oh God, the mental images! Make them stop!" he crows, shaking his head vigorously. He generally believes that there is beauty in anyone and everyone, and that everyone should know the pleasures of sex when they're ready for it, but there are limits to who and what he wants to think about. "I take it back, I really don't want to know, what goes on behind closed doors can just stay there!"

Re: Cluster of Tables
After a few seconds silence, Angelina literally facepalms. Her shoulders start to shake, her head still in her hand, and she joins in his laughter. She laughs for a long while, blinking heavily as if trying to rid images on the back of her eyelids. "Oh, you had to go there, didn't you. You are a terrible person, you know that?" She says, once her laughing subsides enough for her to speak. While on the topic of sex, though, Angelina adds, "I suppose you have different thoughts about closed dorm room doors, though..."

Re: Cluster of Tables
The sound of Angelina's palm smacking into her face makes Jack laugh even harder, and it seems like minutes pass before they are both settled somewhat once more, though his eyes still reflect the signs of his lingering mirth. "Hey now, don't look at me. You started this one. Here I was having a perfectly civil conversation and you have to go and bring up Dumbledore's sex life," he smirks, then shakes his head a bit like a puppy with water in its ear as if that will dislodge the persistent thoughts. He winks at Angelina and waves his hand in a so-so sort of gesture. "There's a door-to-hotness ratio that needs to be considered, of course," he explains.
