Re: The Three Broomsticks
"Yeah, that does sound like it's a big downer." Charlie said sympathetically and took a swig of his butterbeer. "I'm sorry you have to deal with knowing that you could be practicing, and instead you're hanging out with me." Charlie inferred not-so-subtley.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Parvati smiled at him slightly and picked up her butterbeer, taking a small sip. "Yeah." She said with a light laugh. "I would much rather be practicing than sitting here with you." She said very seriously and then laughed. "I'm joking. I'm joking." She said smiling at him. "I would much rather hang out with my friends or James than go to practice sometimes."

Re: The Three Broomsticks
[sorry for lateness, Fairy had to get ready for bed]
"Yeah, i know what you mean" Charlie replied whilst staring off into the distance. It would appear as though he is gazing deep into the mirror behind the bar, but in point-of-fact, he is thinking about dragons. He'd give anything to study dragons professionally, but no one can know this about him. "Only nerds like dragons" he thought to himself. "I have a similar passion for drag....racing...." he continues. "Smooth move Charlie boy..."

[TIS FINE! ]
"Drag racing?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him. "Huh....Interesting." She said nodding. "I've never really watched drag racing or gotten into it." She said with a light shrug. "I've never really had a reason to. Is it fun?" She asked, cocking her head to the side slightly.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Charlie quickly had to cover up his lie. His stupid stupid lie. "Uh, yeah. It's bloody fantastic" he began, hoping her apparent interest would distract her from the less-than-eloquent lies currently leaving his brain via his mouth. "I love the control." [Fairy doesn't know much about drag racing either, so yeah, he likes the control....]
Re: The Three Broomsticks
[Nev doesn't know anything about drag racing at all. *clueless*]
Parvati nodded. "Oh, well, sounds fun." She said as she picked up her butterbeer and took a small sip. She still didn't really know what drag racing was. All she figured was that it was some kind of race. She thought it must have been some type of things that guys got really into because Chuck seemed to get really enthusiastic when he talked about it.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
As she took a sip of her butterbeer, Charlie wondered what the outcome of this little lie would be. He began to think ages ahead, and the possibilities genuinely freaked him out. He decided to come clean, whether or not she liked it. He thought to himself, "if she doesn't like my interests, then oh well." "I have to come clean before this gets out of hand," he began, "I know nothing about drag racing, I just heard about it on the TV when I was at home. My dad likes to tinker with muggle things, and it can get kind of awkw... nevermind. Anyway, I said drag racing because I was afraid you'd laugh at what I actually like." Then he dropped it, "I actually do share the same kind of passion you have for cheerleading, but I have a passion for Dragons." he said quite sheepishly as he turned his head away and began turning a brilliant shade of Gryffindor Red.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Parvati blinked a few times. "Dragons?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "That's so badass!" She said leaning forward slightly on the table. "Have you ever like, worked with a dragon in real life?" She asked him, staring at him with wide eyes. "Like gotten close enough to touch one?" She was actually pretty interested in knowing how much he had done with dragons because it seemed pretty cool to her. Working with huge creatures like that, ones that were so intense and dangerous.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
As Parvati's initial disbelieve turned into fascination, Charlie grew ecstatic within seconds. And being asked to talk about Dragons with someone, let alone someone as pretty and – well – female, as Parvati. "Yeah I have actually!" Charlie began with much enthusiasm. "I've never gotten to touch one, but I've been close enough to protect a Norwegian Ridgeback egg. They can get pretty protective of their eggs, but this one was important."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Parvati nodded and smiled at him and leaned back in her chair. "Huh. That's cool." She said smiling at him. "So after Hogwarts I'm guessing you want to like do something with Dragons...Right?" She asked looking at him curiously. She wasn't sure what kind of jobs they had with dragons but she figured there had to be a few.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
"I would LOVE to do something with dragons after school" Charlie replied as he happened to glance towards the clock. OH SNAPPLES IT'S PAST MY BEDTIME he thought to himself (and oddly enough, it was the voice of his mother yelling at him in his head..... weird). "Um, Parvati I'm really sorry, I'm having a lovely time, but I do need to go. Like right now. Walk back with me?"
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Parvati looked up at him confused as he said he needed to go and glanced at the clock. It wasn't that late but if he wanted to go that was fine with her. "Sure. Let's go." She said smiling at him as she stood up from the table and waited for him to get up with her so they could walk back to the castle together.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
As they left the three broomsticks, they began a brilliant conversation and such that brought them closer together as friends. They learned about eachother's past and stuff. Yeah [as you can tell, fairy is quite tired and has class in the morning).

Jesse led Milli into the Three Broomsticks, pulling her chair out for her before walking around to his own seat across from her. The waitress walked over and he ordered a large ice cream sundae with two spoons, then waited for the girl to leave before he turned his focus onto Milli. He smiled at her and rested both of his arms, palms down, on the table. "And his is the part where you tell me about yourself. I already know you're a cheerleader who can read. What else is there to know about the great Milli Vane?"

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Milli drummed her fingers on the table in thought. "Hmm, well, I play Quidditch, I have a low alcohol tolerance, I enjoy reading, I actually make an effort in school, unlike half of my year. And I'm not the type of girl who's afraid to eat in front of a guy." With that, she grabbed a spoon and dug into the ice cream, though she wasn't rude about it. "I also think a monkey would be a really neat pet," she added. "What about you? All I know is that you are extremely driven."

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Jesse grinned as he picked up his own spoon, fiddling with it between his fingers as he listened to Milli talk. "Eating in front of a guy. Now that does take skill," he joked, grinning widely as he took a bite of the ice cream, taking his time as he licked if off the spoon and savored the taste. "I'm not a big fan of Quidditch. Never really got into the sport, though I don't mind watching. I, unlike you, have a fairly high alcohol tolerance. As you may have guessed by our meeting in the library, I too like to read, and of course I make an effort in school because how do I plan to succeed if I don't? And a monkey would be almost as neat of a pet as a giraffe." After he had addressed all her main points, he took another bite of ice cream, again taking his time as he let it melt on his tongue. It was freezing outside, but ice cream was amazing and he wasn't going to let a little cold weather stop him from enjoying the frozen treat. "Other than being extremely driven, I enjoy winning, charms, and defense against the dark arts, along with eating ice cream with pretty girls," he added, gesturing towards Milli with his spoon before taking another bite of the dessert.

HAHA LOVE YOU DEE!
"A giraffe?" Milli asked, laughing. "Wouldn't that, I don't know, break a roof? Unless you have ceilings like, fifty feet high, I don't that would be safe for your roof." Taking another scoop of the ice cream, she smiled at his comment about pretty girls. "Looks like it's your lucky day then, huh? I mean, you only get to have this delicious ice cream in a great pub. But who could be this pretty girl of whom you speak?"

Re: The Three Broomsticks
[I drew numbers out of a hat and this is the one scene I get to post to for my 10 minute break XD ]
Jesse smirked and took another bite of ice cream before answering. "The waitress. Did you not see her? She was gorgeous," he teased back with an impish grin. "And I would keep the giraffe outside. I'd have a small corral for my giraffe family-- Or I could always stick to zebras. A lot smaller, though I hear they're not the most friendly of animals."

[AW yay! Just as I was looking to see if you posted, you did! <3]
"A corral is totally normal to have in your backyard," Milli said, nodding seriously. "Nobody would question a family of African animals living in a corral in the backyard." Milli knew he was kidding around with the waitress comment, but she pretended to look disappointed. "Oh. Well if the waitress is so pretty, maybe she should sit with you instead." She put the spoon down and made to look like she was leaving, while wondering what exactly Jesse would do.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Jesse raised an eyebrow, curious as to how far she would go before he had to say something. Most girls would have either been offended or pretended to huff and pout over his joke, but not Milli. "Well yeah, but the thing is...She's working right now so I can't exactly ask her to sit down with me. I'll let you in on a little secret," he said, lowering his voice and leaning in across the table. "I actually just asked you here to try and make her jealous," he admitted, keeping a serious face at what was clearly a lie.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Milli hesitated when he leaned in to whisper to her, then decided to listen and put her elbows on the table interestedly. "Ah," she said. Pausing for a second to psych him out, Milli sat back in her chair. "I suppose I should feel offended, but there's something about unrequited love that makes me feel charitable. So you get to look at two good-looking girls while you're here." She picked up her spoon again and twirled it between her fingers while she smirked. "So do I have to look like I'm having the time of my life now?"

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Jesse's eyebrows arched as she referred to herself as good looking. He couldn't stand when girls got all humble and modest around others. If you've got something amazing, then show it off. Don't bother trying to hide it. He smiled and leaned back in his chair as well. "That would be good. Laugh when you think I'm trying to be funny, look amazed and intrigued when I tell a story, get emotional when I tell you about the tough times I've been through..."

"So basically I need to be hanging onto your every word?" Milli asked grinning. "Doesn't sound like I'll need to act too much," she admitted. "You seem a very...fascinating person." She glanced back at the waitress and wondered briefly what she would think if she knew she were the basis of the game they were playing. Milli turned back to Jesse and rested her chin on her hands. "Now tell me, Jesse, what riveting stories do you have under your belt?"
