Re: The Stone Steps
Caradoc wanders out with his knitting materials and a big smile on his face, and sits down on the steps. Pulling out some rather nice red yarn, he starts to knit a scar for Fabian, after their last discussion about the appropriateness of winter scarves and silk scarves.
Re: The Stone Steps
Molly shoves the doors open and stands there on the threshold for a moment, hand on hip and staring out across the grounds because she is in a haughty mood in my head right now, and the Prewett ego is strong in this one. She spots Rad knitting and decides to join him. She has her knitting bag with her, of course, and still has to reknit that sweater that Kingsley slaughtered. She struts over and smiles. "Hey Rad. Is this, like, a solitary knitting party or is there room for one more?"

Re: The Stone Steps
"Oh, there's always room for a Prewett!" he said happily, scooting over and making room for his friend. "That is, if there is payment in the form of the delicious cookies of yours I ran out of. Oh, speaking of, here's for this week," he said, sliding her a nice fresh bag of gillyweed.
Re: The Stone Steps
Molly smiles and slips the stash into her bag, rooting around in there for a few moments to grab the Special Cookies that she's baked as a force of habit. She hands the package over to Rad and makes herself comfortable on the steps, knitting in hand. "Whatcha' making?" she asks, eying the stitches curiously. She knows it's a scarf because she's not retarded despite popular opinion, she just wants to know if there's a story there.

Re: The Stone Steps
"A scarf for Fabian, to prove he would look gorgeous in one. He keeps denying his fabulousness, but we all now how cute he'd look in one," he said happily, thinking about how adorable Fabian will look in this once he's done. "How about you?" he asked curiously, popping a cookie into his mouth and practically moaning from how delicious it is. "Molly, you are so the best cook and baker in the entire world. Can you just like give my mother cooking lessons or something? I'm so not looking forward to visiting her whenever I'm forced to, everything that comes out of her kitchen tastes like cardboard."
Re: The Stone Steps
Mya loves that avatar. JS.
Molly grins, even though she's been trying to win Fabian over to scarves for ages and has had no success. "He could totally pull, like, any look off," she says firmly. Like, duh. Her own fingers fly over the knitting needles, the tips clanking lightly together with each new stitch. "Sweater - Christmas gift for Kingsley, I think," she says, lifting up the sleeve she's working on so Rad can see how long it is. She smirks. "I know I'm, like, the best ever. And private lessons for your mother will totally cost you, just so you know. There may even be a waiting list." She helps herself to one of the cookies.

Re: The Stone Steps
"Ugh, it might be worth it. Seriously, she just does not cook for her own safety, most of the time, it's a rare thing we ate anything but muggle take out. Coming to here was amazing, the food was like heaven in edible form, kind of like your cookies. But really, Mondays were Chinese, Tuesdays were Mexican, Wednesdays were subs and sandwiches, Thursday was anything that's left over, and Fridays were pizza. The weekends I was never home anyway, so it was whatever I could get wherever I happened to be. You know, I once dated a guy simply because his mom was an awesome cook, and she invited me over every night for a month. So worth it," he laughed, continuing to knit and admiring Molly's sweater.
Re: The Stone Steps
Molly laughs. "Your mum sounds like our parents. When Ali was home sick I left her under strict orders to, like, throw anything our parents tried to make her out the window and order takeout every meal. I was totally convinced they'd, like, kill her with radioactive fruit loops or something, you know?" she chatters, finishing off her Cookie and concentrating on her sweater once more.

Re: The Stone Steps
"Radioactive fruit loops?! Do they like-- do those exist?!" he asked with wide eyes, having already consumed at least six cookies at the impossible rates which only a teenage male can accomplish.
Re: The Stone Steps
"Dude," Molly says, starting to catch up in the Cookie consumption, "I don't even know. But if they can be done, our parents would, like, totally be the ones to come up with that shit. Like, if my Mum makes tea for me when I'm sick I can't even go there. Just... no. It's better all round if you treat anything they expect you to consume as, like, a biohazard or votever."

Re: The Stone Steps
Molly gets all distracted by a passing butterfly because, whoa, it's, like, so beautiful and so, so, so, so, sooooooooooooooooooo significant and stuff. So she chases it, skipping off into the distance and forgetting where she is.

Re: The Stone Steps
*giggles* thought so.
I have trouble picking up the Cookie mindset from a pause, so I figured it was better to have Mol skip off and start fresh another day.
She's happy with her butterflies...

Re: The Stone Steps
Ginny rushed out of the castle, hoping that she wasn't going to be too late for Quidditch practice. She wasn't really paying attention to any albino like people, so she accidentally ran into the arrogant sod standing right on the stone steps. She moved to grab his arm to prevent him from falling. "Oh sor- oh...it's you Malfoy. Never mind then," she said, releasing his arm immediately and letting him stumble.

Re: The Stone Steps
Draco was almost bowled over by a mass of robes running out the door. When he saw the ginger hair he pulled himself away just as she let go, taking one hasty step back before regaining his balance. "What's the rush Weasley? Someone giving alms to the poor."
Re: The Stone Steps
"Oh sure, that must definitely be it. You clearly know my family and I so damn well," she said, rolling her eyes. "I'm on my way to the pitch, when some wanker decided it would be a good idea to stand right near the door. Have nothing better to do than stand around like an idiot?"

Re: The Stone Steps
Draco scoffed at her and leant against the wall, eyeing her robes and older model of broom, it was such a shame they let people like the Weasley's into Hogwarts. Thank Salazar for the house system to keep them far away from where Draco had to sleep. "Because obviously my only goal in life is to trip up stupid Gryffindors. Why are you running anyway? Parents so poor they couldn't buy you a watch. Pity."
Re: The Stone Steps
Ginny toyed with the material of her robes when she caught him eying them, knowing that he was most likely thinking some negative comment about her appearance and her belongings. "It's true," she sighed dramatically. "My family...the could just hardly afford Ron a watch...so of course they didn't have enough for me." Really, the insults about her family's wealth were just getting annoying. First her run-in with Lucius, and now Draco? Why couldn't they just stay hidden in the dungeons? "I really don't think it's any of your business as to why I was running, is it? I don't ask you about the ridiculous things that you do."

Re: The Stone Steps
"Really? Maybe you should get your head checked Weasley, I could have sworn a second ago you asked me about why I was standing around like an, and I quote, 'Idiot'." And to think he had been about to have a pleasant afternoon out on the grounds when the only female Weasley in generations had barreled into him in a rush to get to quidditch practice. Then again the longer he detained her here the less practice time the Gryffindor team would get. Hmm. Now how to keep her occupied for the next half hour or so.
Re: The Stone Steps
Oh, now that it just cruel. When you get her all irritated, Ginny loses any rational thoughts about what she had previously been doing, instead focusing on the current vermin she has to deal with. "Wait...what?" she asked, wrinkling her nose slightly as she thought back to what she said. "No...no I did not. I didn't ask why you were standing out here, because I really couldn't give a rat's arse as to why you are. I asked if you had nothing better to do than stand here. It's obviously you who needs to get their head checked."

Re: The Stone Steps
It isn't cruel, it's tactical. Draco hoped that she would forget about what she had to be doing and is extremely pleased about his success. It's not as though he was missing anything important by being here, and a bit of Gryffindor baiting was always good sport. "See I know complex thought might be past your Gryffindor sensibilities but I would have thought you would realize that your question, however it was phrased, was still a question. A question about my actions, thus proving my point."
Re: The Stone Steps
Well, eventually Draco will realize he has better things to do than stand out here and bother Ginny. Eventually he will. Or hopefully she'll at the very least remember where she is and how she's gotta go to the pitch. "You're unbelievably cocky and annoying," she huffed. "Alright, so you seem to think that you are just so much better than me, so why continue to stand here on the same stone steps that I'm on? Don't you have 'friends'. Well, I guess you can't really call them friends...more of acquaintances that for some odd reason put up with you."

Re: The Stone Steps
But see all Draco has to do is stay out here long enough to make her really late for practice before he can go on his merry way. And I doubt she'll remember, that would take more brainpower than she possesses. "They put up with me? What does that make your friends then? Your babysitters? Doubtless they pity you otherwise why would they bother to spend time with you. And my friends are none of your business anyway. Weren't you the one talking about privacy before, not asking stupid questions."
