Arthur is still blushing as Molly reaches down to look for his glasses. He uses his good arm to feel around on ground, keeping the other underneath him in order to avoid touching any other lady bits. He feels another warm, soft object. He squints and is glad to see that it is only Molly's hand and not her other private bits. He doesn't take it off right away because he's so relieved that it is isn't a lady bit and uses his other hand to find his glasses.

Molly doesn't think much of it as Arthur's hand rests on one of hers, it feels perfectly natural to her so she just leaves it there. Her free hand finally locates his glasses an she snatches them up, dusts them on his shirt one-handed, and slips them back onto his face for him. "There you are, now you don't have to be, like, blind anymore." She grins at him, and it's a few long seconds before it occurs to her that she's still on top of him and that he might like to get up now. Her cheeks flush. "Sorry! I'm totally smushing you!" she squeals, and pushes herself up.

Arthur smiles as Molly places his glasses on his face. He blinks a couple time, taking in the scene around him. He sees Molly getting off of him and quickly releases her hand. He tries to push himself up, but his one hand is still sore so he settles for lying there with his weight on his good arm. "Thanks!" he says brightly. "Did you find the footieball?" he asks, trying to change the subject.

"Huh? Footieball?" Molly says, twirling her hair around her fingers. Oh! Right. The football. They were meant to be looking for that, right? "Oh, yeah, I think I saw it in there. I just, like, can't really reach," she says, pointing in the direction she'd seen the reflection of the ball. Damn her and her shortness.

Arthur nods at Molly as he carefully stands up, attempting not to trip on anything. He walks over to where Molly indicated and stick his arm in, feeling around for the footieball. He feels something hard and pulls up - it's the footsieball! "I have it!" Arthur exclaims, waving it around a bit before handing it to Molly. "That wasn't too bad, though maybe we should cast a spell so that it doesn't go farther than beyond the net."

"Ooh, yay! I was, like, sure I'd seen it in there," she enthuses as Arthur produces the ball. "Huh, that's totally a good idea, too," she says, and pulls out her wand do cast barrier charms to stop the ball travelling beyond the goal. "Come on, come on, it's your turn!" she says, practically bouncing on the spot in her enthusiasm as she runs to take her place in front of the goals.

Arthur enthusiastically replies, "Okay." In reality, he is very nervous about kicking the football in front of Molly; not that he was afraid of making a fool of himself, but because he didn't want to hit her with the football. Taking a deep breath, Arthur runs towards the footieball and attempts to aim toward the right of Molly. Instead, the ball goes completely to left, not even landing near the goal. He blushes, wishing that he had better aim, before running over to the side to grab the ball.

Molly tilts her head to the side, watching the ball sail in the wrong direction. "Um, maybe we're, like, doing something wrong. Because I'm pretty sure the ball is meant to go in the goal. Hey! Does that magazine of Ted's have any pictures and stuff we can look at?" she asks, heading over to pick it up and take a look. She flips arbitrarily though it as if the answer will simply jump out at her, and shoves a picture under Arthur's nose. "Look! The picture guy uses the side of his foot to kick, not his toes!"

Arthur examines the picture carefully; he remembers Ted mentioning something about the side of your foot, but he never thought that you would kick with it. "That seems weird. I can't understand why someone would want to kick with the side of their foot - it makes no sense in my head." Arthur pulls on a small bit on of hair. "I don't think the magazine would lie - even the talking footsieball says to use the side of your foot." {Teresa, for the life of her, has never been able to figure out why you use the side of your foot to kick either; but then again, Teresa regularly tripped over the ball in kickball so that might explain a lot.}

Mya used to play soccer when she was little, and apparently using the side is meant to make you better able to aim your kicks. It never worked for Mya. Sad days.
Molly shrugs. "I don't see why a magazine would lie about something like that. I mean, the Daily Prophet lies, like, all the time, but that's a newspaper so whatever. Ok, try again and use the side of your foot!" she says, running back to the goal to ready herself.

"Everyone knows the Daily Prophet's a pile of dung - even the Quibbler has more truth in it," Arthur says. He looks at the ball sitting in front of him. Nervously, he bends down and adjusts its position a bit because he can't think of anything else to do it. He then steps several feet away from it and practices kicking an invisible footieball with the side of his foot. When he thinks he has the technique down, he run dows the footsieball again and turn his body to one side in order to kick the ball properly with the side of his foot. The ball goes flying over Molly's head and bounces gently off one of the bushes and falls in front of the goal.

Molly giggles. "The Quibbler's funny." Then she jumps up and down, clapping and squealing because Arthur totally figured out how to kick the ball. "OhmyGod, you did it! So cool! Let me try!" she says, and runs around behind the ball. Being far less cautious, and far more I'm-a-Prewett-we-just-jump-right-in, she takes a little run off and boots the ball as hard as she can with the side of her foot. It whizzes past Arthur's left ear, missing it by a couple of inches.

Arthur beams brightly; he has no idea if what he just did was right at all or if he could even replicate it, but Molly seemed to like it and that made Arthur happy. "The Quibbler is always fun to read, and Mr. Lovegood always has lots of really cool pictures." He watches as Molly runs to kick the ball, her red hair flowing the in breeze. He freezes when he hears the ball whoosing past him; initially, he feels like he should try to stop it, but decides against it for fear of physical injury. He runs over to grab the ball where it landed. "Nice job, Molly! You're really strong!" he says because Molly's kick seems good to his untrained eye.

Molly's smirk is deep, practically dripping in self-satisfaction. "I'm, like, way stronger than I look," she informs Arthur. "Because, you know, I'm tiny and stuff." She tosses her hair back, shaking it back into place to resettle it as Arthur returns with the ball. "So, like, I guess that's football?"

Arthur is mesmorized as Molly flips her hair, but is brought to his senses when he drops the football on his foot. He quickly picks it back up and walks over to Molly. "I think this is pretty much it. I guess there are more players and people try to pass the footieball back and forth, but otherwise I don't know what else you do. The magazine mentioned something about defense and offense, though I don't know how you would steal the ball without your hands." Arthur forgets that feet can kick a ball and therefore steal it, but then again, foot-eye coordination is very difficult.

"Huh, whatever. I don't get why Ted is, like, so obsessed with this. He once said something about wanting to have a game here, so maybe I'll go watch or something," Molly shrugs, looking at the ball as if she can't figure out how kicking it around can involve offence and defence, either. "Are you gonna play if Ted makes a game?"

[Arthur Weasley]

"I think I will. It's a lot of fun, plus I can use the skills I learn to help me in my interactions with Muggles. I want to work in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office, so I always like to keep informed on things Muggles like to do. Because if Muggle like footieball, then some asshole might try and attack a Muggle through a footieball," Arthur says, his voice raising at the mention of Muggle baiting. He can't understand why someone would want to attack an innocent person - what have Muggle ever done to wizards. It was something he was passionate about.

Molly blinks, a little taken aback by the anger in Arthur's voice - she's really been under the impression thus far that he's not even capable of getting angry. "Wow. You are, like, super pro-Muggle, aren'tcha? That's cool. I think the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office would be a super interesting place to work!"

"A bit, I suppose. I just don't understand why someone would want to treat someone differently just because of something stupid like not being able to do magic. They're just as smart and capable of doing things as we are, so we should respect them," Arthur says, taking a deep cleasening breath, for he tended to get a bit riled up about this subject. "I hope it's interesting; I want to intern there over the summer, through the Mnistry's internship program."

Molly greams, so pleased by Arthur's attitude that she hugs him quickly. "I know, right!? The Muggles have done, like, so many awesome things all on their own and should, like, totally be counted for equal. Plus their fashion, like, totally craps all over magical fashion. Just sayin'," Molly says, her eyes wide and earnest as if this is the very important key point of why Muggles are just as awesome as wizards.

Arthur eyes widen in shock as Molly hugs him; his insides are singing, for Molly Prewett agree with his ideas on Muggle. "So, what exactly do you know about Muggle fashions? I have the basics down - pants on the bottom, shirt on top. But do Muggles consider cool? Because I feel like my Muggle clothing isn't under to par." Granted, neither was Arthur's wizard wear, but that was another discussion for a different day.

Molly giggles. "Pants on bottom, shirts on top pretty much, like, sums it up I guess," she chirps. She looks Arthur up and down, for the first time really noticing what he's wearing. She hadn't even really considered it before, she's been too busy having fun with him, but now she sees that Arthur needs some sort of fashion intervention. Her nose wrinkles slightly before she can stop it and her head tilts to the side, considering. "Ok. This summer. You. Me. Shopping. No arguments. I can't just, like, tell you what's cool, I have to show you," she decides.

"That sounds good to me," Arthur saying, smiling brightly at the idea of hanging out with Molly over the summer. He feels pretty good about himself until he realizes that Molly must think he's a complete dolt. Which he is when it comes to fashion, truthfully. "Do I dress that badly," Arthur asks, blushing brightly. Yes, his orange shirt was a few sizes too large and his jeans had tears at the knee, but his black robes fit properly. At least legnth wise, he thinks.

Molly's eyes widen as she realises she's coming off like a complete bitch. "OhmyGod, no! Wow, I, like, totally didn't mean to be such a cow. Your jeans are cool. The whole 'rips in the knee' thing, like, totally works. Um, orange probably isn't your colour, though," she admits, twirling her hair around her fingers and wondering if she has really offended Arthur now. "I just really like shopping," she tries to explain.
