"Oh, I'm sure-- dude, you're chill," he said, deciding after about one minute that he seriously dug this dude-- he knows what's up. "So, what year are you? Gryffindor, right?" he asked, flipping his hair and winking at some hot blonde that's walking into the castle. "Oh, women. I love women."

"Yep, I'm a Gryffindor," he said with a grin, proud to be in a house where his like, entirely family was sorted. Especially in a house where his namesakes belonged. He had to make them proud after all. "Oh thank merlin," he said, happy that they can talk about how fucking amazing boobs are. "I feel like so many guys are swinging the other way now. Though, I suppose that it just means that there are more women for us," he noted.

"Tell me about it," he muttered, his thoughts flickering to Remus, and he cringed slightly-- sure, he might pretend and force himself to act like he was totally okay with it, but he really wasn't, and it made him entirely too uncomfortable, when he thought about it really. "But that's true! But of course, I've always had mad game with the bitches-- seriously, point to a girl in Gryffindor, chances are I've landed that sucker," he said with a wink.

"Seriously?" he asked, his eyes widening slightly. Sure, he loved the idea of sex as much as the next guy, but he wasn't the type to go and have a random hookup. He wasn't really into that stuff. He was aromanticatheart. "Well. How am I supposed to find a girl that isn't going to be comparing me to a guy like you constantly? I mean, how would you like to go on having to be compared to another good looking, and I mean that in the straightest way possible, guy? Guess I'll have to work at my game if you've gone and landed everyone."

"WELL YOU THINK ON THAT OFFER, YOUNG MAN, FOR I HAVE SOME BOO-TAY TO LAND!" he says, sauntering off to go charm that young lady, while Eowyn leaves to pick up Freya.

James is perfectly okay with Sirius calling dibs, because Fleur is like...his auntie. SOOOO, no big deal there. He wouldn't mind being trained in how to woo women, though James Sirius already has quite a bit of skill. He's just naturally talented, NBD. Um. Before he could even respond though, Sirius is off chasing a girl. James remained at the lake though in case anyone is bored and wants to chill like a popsicle in a freezer. Anyone? He'll let you melt his popsicle.

Claire walks down the lake carrying a couple books because she finds comfort in the simple texture of a book. Transferring to a new school midyear was definitely stressful and reading was the only way to rid herself of the stress. She eagerly made her way down the slopes towards the water and sat down beneath a tree, ignoring the presence of overly sexy people.

Apparently James Sirius is just so fucking sexy that the pretty blonde can't handle it. I mean, she subconsciously just called him sexy. Poor Claire is really missing out by hanging out with a tree instead.

Claire happens to like trees. She's not an environmentalist or anything, but she believes their existence is totally awesome. She peers over at James Sirius and thinks to herself: Melanie would tap that.

Well. Maybe she should just live amongst the trees then. Since she likes them so much that shouldn't be a problem. Trees are stiff, woody, and large so she would probably always be happy. That is like, a totally awesome suggestion. Yeah?

Claire was bored and irritated by the unknown person's glancing in her direction so she closed her book and yelled out to him. "'Scuse me? Problem?"

"Oh! Sorry!" James Sirius replied immediately, pleased that he had caught her attention. "Didn't mean to stare. Must be your beauty. I mean, I'm just unable to tear my eyes away from a girl like you. Forgive me?"

Claire rolled her eyes. Was he for real? She had seen multiple people pick up Melanie using these types of techniques, but she had learned from being an observer that men did not always mean what they said. This type of compliment was merely a way to persuade her to do things he wanted her to do. Claire would not give in. "Um, sure. Name?"

Melanie skipped down to the lake and saw her sister and then started running. She finally got to her sister and wrapped her arms around her, giving her a big hug. "HI CLAIRE!" She said happily. "Who's your friend?" She asked, looking over at the boy standing there.

"James Sirius Potter," he replied after making his way over to where she was and giving her a smile. "I'm in Gryffindor. Figured you'd like to know for when you try and hunt me down. Let's face it, it will happen." He was slightly thrown off when another girl appeared, then tried to deduce if they were friends or siblings. Either way, he approved.

Claire stumbled backwards when her sister appeared, but returned the big hug because, after all, Melanie was her best friend. Well, only friend too, but she knew that even when they made more friends Mel would be her closest one. "Hey Mel!" she yelped as she fell back, but regained her balance quick enough. She turned to James Sirius and smiled. "This is James Sirius Potter. From what I've observed he's a bit arrogant and a good flirt. Your type in a nutshell." She paused and smirked at the Potter boy. How did boys think they could get past every girl with the same maneuvers? It made no sense. "And trust me, I doubt I'll be looking around for you."

"HI!" She said, with a huge grin on her face. She looked over at James Sirius and waved at him. "Hi, I'm Melanie." She said smiling at him. She looked back at Claire as she said the thing about not looking for him. "Aww, Why not Claire? He's pretty cute. You should go for him." She said nodding like he wasn't right there.

"Because arrogance is never attractive on anyone?" Claire replied, confused as to why Mel would ask her this. It was pretty obvious that Claire wasn't interested in getting to know the kid. He was staring at her and she wanted to know why and it simply developed into a conversation. Didn't mean she wanted him to bone her or anything. She sighed. "I'm not interested."

"Huh, shame," James Sirius remarked, a bit confused as to when girls started saying no to him. It just...it never really happened. "Well, as long as your sure. I mean, I'd hate for you to be laying in bed and wishing I was there to hold you. I mean, look at what you could be missing," he said, motioning to himself with his hands. "You sure you want to let me go?"

"Yeah Claire! Are you sure you want to let him go?" She asked, because he was an attractive dude and Melanie thought Claire should totally go for him, because Claire needed to get to know more guys and...people in general in her opinion.

Claire shrugged. "I don't see why you care about my well-being. You've only met me moments ago. Doesn't it seem a bit odd that you're caring about holding a stranger?" She didn't understand how one was supposed to respond to this. Maybe this was an open door for being flirty. Oops? Claire didn't do flirty much. She normally had crushes from afar and those burned out quickly. Claire glanced over at Melanie, wondering how on EARTH she was suggesting that this person would work for her. They weren't compatible at all. "I, um, I don't see how I had a hold on him in the first place?"

James...had no idea what to make of this. Sure, his pursuit with Mandy didn't go very well, but he thought he had better game than this. What was he doing wrong? Perhaps he did need lessons from the Sirius guy. "Doesn't seem odd to me," he replied, deciding not to falter and try and remain persistent. "I'm sexy, you're gorgeous, I'm witty, you're smart...I mean, I can tell by your Ravenclaw robes. Why wouldn't we be amazing together?"

Melanie just rocked back and forth on her heels, waiting to see what Claire had to say to that. She looked over at James and smiled at him. "Well, She's kind of shy." She whispered.
