"It's fine. It was simple enough, I couldn't really leave, even if I wanted to. Something just kept dragging me back, and now..." He kissed her, thinking that was a good way to finish the sentence. "Honestly, I would've done anything for you, and that seemed like the only thing that I could do." This time he moved to her neck, sucking gently, not really sure what else to say on the subject.

Lavender was a little surprised when Seamus started kissing her neck, but he was a teenage boy so what can she expect? She shakes her head a little and gently pushes him back. "Take it easy there..." She giggled to let him know she wasn't mad or anything. "I'm feeling a little hungry. Wanna head back?" And as much as I hate to end this, it's almost sleepy time and I don't want to pause for another night.

"Sorry," he apologized, taking hold of her hand as she pushed him away. "Yeah, sure, I could use something to eat. The feast should be starting soon anyway."

Lavender smiled and stood, reaching out her hand to take his. "Thanks Seamus. I've had a lot of fun today. We should make this a regular trip, yeah?" She giggled then started walking back towards the castle.

"Me too," he nodded, a tingling sensation coming from his hand as she touched it. "Yeah, we should most definately do this again," and he walked with her back to Hogwarts.

"Umm, they're nice." She said with a small nod. "They're really friendly and stuff like that." She said, not really sure how to describe her family as they approached the park. "Just make sure you don't mention anything about the offer I got for Cheering this summer please," She asked him. She hadn't told her parents yet about the offer and she knew they wouldn't approve of her being in cheer as a career. As they got to the park a huge grin spread across her face as she sped up a little bit. "Mom, Dad!" She said, letting go of Al's hand as she hugged them both and then got down on her knees to where Alvin was. "Hey, Alvin!" She said, hugging her baby boy, who wasn't really a baby anymore.

"Promise. These lips are sealed," he assured her with a small smile before she ran off to hug her parents, leaving him to awkwardly stand there as he wondered if he should just introduce himself. He noticed Parvati bending down to hug...Oh, Alvin was a dog. He smiled over at her parents and offerd out his hand to them. "Hello. I'm Al. Albus Potter, Parvati's friend. It's a pleasure to finally meet you both."

Mr. Patil reached his hand out and took Al’s giving it a firm shake with a wide, friendly smile. “It’s nice to meet you too, Al.” he said before pulling his hand back as he looked down at his daughter and couldn’t help but let out a light laugh. “I’m starting to think you like that dog more than you like us.” he teased.

“Well maybe I do.” Parvati said with a wide grin as she stood up and gave her dad another hug. “I’m kidding. I’ve missed all three of you.” She told them. “And yeah, this is Al. He’s my best friend.” She said, smiling as she looked over at Al for a moment before she looked back down at Alvin as he started nudging her leg. “Hey, I missed you so much.” She said, petting his head.

”Hello, Al.” said Mrs. Patil as she stepped over and gave Al a motherly hug. “I’m Parvati’s mother. It’s so nice to meet you. You said your last name is Potter. Are you James’ brother then?” She asked him curiously, ignoring her daughters glare for asking questions..

Al smiled as he watched Parvati playing with Alvin. It was obvious that she loved him, and it made him think that maybe letting Scorp get a dog of his own wouldn't be such a bad thing, after all. He wasn't expecting a hug from Parvati's mom, but he hugged her back almost immediately as he felt her arms wrapping around him. "Oh," his cleared his throat as she asked about his brother. "Yes. James is my older brother," he answered quickly, smiling faintly at Parvati's parents.

"Oh well you both seem like extremely lovely boys," Mrs. Patil told Al with a wide smile. "I know from what I have heard about James that he is treating our Parvati right." She said as she looked over at Parvati.

Parvati nodded awkwardly as her parents went all crazy on Al and casually slipped her left hand behind her wrist and slipped the ring from James off of her finger and then stuck it in her pocket. She just wasn't ready to tell her parents yet about how serious it was with James. Plus if she was going to tell them about the ring she would want James to have met them first "So can we go and get lunch now? I invited Al along and said he could have lunch with us if that's okay."

"Of course it's okay sweetie." Her father told her with a smile as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and started heading towards the broomsticks. "Any friend of Parvati's is welcome." He said as he looked over at Al and took his arm from Parvati's shoulders. "Let's go then?" He asked the three of them and then started walking towards the three broomsticks. "So Al, James is your older brother you said. Does that mean you are a sixth year like Parvati?"

Al smiled as he walked down the street with Parvati, Alvin, and the Patil parents. He didn't expect them to bring him out to lunch, and he didn't want to end up leaving a bad impression on his best friend's parents. "Well, my birthday is in August so I'm actually a 7th year like my brother, but just barely. I'm sort of young for my year," he admitted somewhat sheepishly.

Parvati smiled over her shoulder at Al as he walked with them and reached her hand out for his as they walked down the street, her other holding Alvin's leash even though if she didn't hold it there was no way he would run away. Not when she was walking right there. "Al is just a super smart little boy." She said with a wide grin.

"Oh, well that is pretty cool then to be in the same year as your brother." Mr. Patil said with a small nod. "Though I don't know how well you two get along but I know if I was in classes with my brothers I would have pretty much exploded." he said, basically telling Al that he was cool with it if he didn't get along too well with his brother.

"Shut up, you love your brother." Mrs. Patil said to her husband, shaking her head slightly.

"Yeah when my mom is around." Mr. Patil replied back to her with a small shrug. "So are you hungry, Al?" He asked curiously. "Because you are definitely welcome to join us." he told him as they got to the three broomsticks and Parvati tied Alvin up to a bench outside.

"I promise you. I will be out as soon as I can get away from them and then you and my friend Al can go to the park and play, Okay?" She said before she kissed Alvin on the nose. "I'll try and sneak you some chicken."

Al quirked an eyebrow at what could have possibly be taken as a short joke from Parvati, and rolled his eyes as he playfully bumped his hip into hers and took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers as they walked down the street. "Oh, well he's in Gryffindor so we still don't see each other very often," Al explained, deciding that it'd be best to just leave out the fact that he thought his own brother hated him for the past six years. "I get along much better with my sister, but my brother and I manage not to kill each other for the most part," he said, mostly in a joking manner.

"I am hungry, now that you mention it." Al was always hungry. He probably got it from his uncle Ron or something, but while Scorpius barely ate anything, Al ate everything.

"Yeah yeah, sure whatever," She said as she waved her hand at him. She couldn't control Alvin's tongue. She stepped up to the park and smiled over at Al as she took Alvin off of his leash and sat down on the ground, watching as Alvin just plopped down on the ground and rested his head in her lap. "He's tired," She said sadly as she looked at Al with a small frown. "He gets tired really fast now."

As much as he had told everyone he didn't like animals, Al couldn't help but frown at how obviously tired the dog had gotten from walking to the park. He sat down next to Parvati in the grass, and without thinking twice about it he reached over and gently trailed his fingers along the soft fur of Alvin's head, his expression softening noticeably as the old dog looked up at him with large brown eyes which Al unfortunately thought were adorable.

Parvati smiled as she watched Al lean over her and pet Alvin's soft face. "I think he likes you," She said with a small smile. "You can tell by the way he looks at you," She told him as she gently trailed her fingers along Alvin's back. She looked over at Al after a moment, surveying his facial expressions as she tried to figure out what he was thinking. She couldn't quite place his expression but he definitely didn't look disgusted or annoyed by Alvin.

"Really?" He glanced up at Parvati through his eyelashes, his eyes sparkling happily at the idea of an animal actually liking him. He smiled and looked back down at Alvin as he continued petting his head. Maybe dogs weren't so terrible. The slobber and everything was gross, but this was actually kind of nice. "Well, you're not so bad either, Alvin."

Parvati nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, you can tell by the way he just stayed relaxed when you pet him. He didn't get scared or anything," She said softly, continuing to run her fingers lightly down Alvin's back. "Look at his tail too," She said as she looked over at it, watching as it slowly wagged back and forth. "He definitely likes you," She told him with a small smile. "But I really don't see how anyone could not like you," She said with a light shrug.

Al smiled as he looked at Alvin's wagging tail, not stopping his petting as he looked over at Parvati when she mentioned how it'd be hard to not like him. "How do I know he doesn't just do that whenever someone pets him?" he asked, returning the small smile as he continued stroking the top of Alvin's head.

Parvati gave Al a small, playful glare for not believing her and shook her head. "Al, would I lie to you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "I've known Alvin for the past eleven years. Trust me when I say he likes you," She said as she smiled softly at him and then looked back down at Alvin.

Al returned the smile before looking back down at Parvati's dog. "Eleven years, huh?" How long did dogs live anyway? Al would have asked, but he figured it'd be rude considering Alvin's age. "Well, I sort of like him too. He's alright, for a dog."

"Mhm," She said quietly before sighing and laying back down on the grass, angling her hips so that her lower back wasn't resting on the grass. "Good, you better like him," She told him with a small grin. "Because if you didn't I'd have to kick your butt."

"Yeah right, like you'd be able to kick my butt," he scoffed as he remained sitting up, though he stopped petting Alvin so he could lean back on both of his hands instead.

Parvati turned her head to look at him, keeping her hand on Alvin's back as she looked over at Al. "I'm pretty positive I could," She said with a small shrug. "You're like a little guy and stuff and I've got some pretty big muscles."
