Neville continued to look around in silence for a few minutes. Then he stepped on a squishy plant. He reached into the water and picked it up. Staring at it in amazement. "This is amazing." he whispered. "Absolutely amazing." He said a little louder.

Lucius is walking outside, far away from the library. He spots Melanie and grins happily because he wasn't sure if he'd ever see her again. He honestly wasn't sure if he would be able to go back into the library again. Hm. What plan to use. Should he pretend like he forgot her name? That works for some girls, but he has a feeling that it'll be bad to use it on this one. "Hello there, Melanie," he said with a grin, stopping to lean against the tree as he smiled down at her. "Whatcha reading there?" Oh, he asked what book it was.

Melanie looked up and smiled as she realized it was Lucius that was standing above her, how lovely. "Hi Lucius." She said and looked down at her book. "Oh, Just something my mother sent me." She said with a shrug. "Nothing really important." She said with a shrug. "How have you been?" She asked.

She is wearing this by the way, with some nice jeans..because I feel like posting a picture.

Lucius likes Melanie's fashion taste. "Honestly? I've been pretty bored to tell you the truth," he says with a sigh, absentmindedly playing with his pimp cane as usual. He should ask how she is...Right. Girls like that. "How've you been? Had any more trouble finding your way around the castle?"

Melanie likes her fashion taste too. She doesn't know if she likes Lucius' though because he didn't post a picture. She smiled at him and let her eyes skim his pimp cane. She couldn't help but wonder What the fuck it was for. She shook her head. "No...No more troubles." She said and smiled. "I haven't really been anywhere though other than here, the library, and the common room."

"Well, that sounds awfully boring. This entire castle and you've only been in those two rooms and this boring old tree," he said, shaking his head in disapproval. "Maybe you do need those tour guide skills of mine after all."

She smiled up at him. "I don't know. I guess I just don't want to get lost or anything." She said and shrugged. "It sure would be nice to know I wasn't going to get lost when I was wandering around though, so those tour guide skills of yours just might be useful to me." She said grinning at him. "You can sit if you want." She said, looking at the ground next to him.

Lucius looks down. He doesn't want to get his pants dirty. "I'm fine standing, but I'll keep the offer in mind. You know, not only is the castle fun to explore, but there's Hogsmeade as well. Have you heard about it at all?"

"Oh, so you haven't heard? Well, you'll have to go. It's a town not too far from Hogwarts. All the students go there to hang out. They have a joke shop and a chocolate shop...and some places to get a drink with a friend," he says nonchalantly. "You'd like it there."

Melanie nodded and smiled at him. "Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun!" She said and stood up so she was eye level with him. "Sorry. I just felt weird having to look up so much, didn't want to strain my neck." She said jokingly. "I'll have to find someone to check it out with sometime."

Lucius chuckled and shook his head. "Now that's just silly. Why would you need to find someone when you have a date with an incredibly attractive guy?" he asked, batting his eyelashes innocently. Oh, he loved how well he could pull out his charming side just like that.

Lucius smirked at her enthusiasm and shrugged his shoulders as if it was no big deal, though he really did want her to say yes. Not that he had any doubt in his mind that she'd reject him. I mean, just look at him. He certainly did. It was sort of unhealthy how much time he spent in front of the mirror, but don't tell him that. "If you're interested...Then yes, I most certainly am asking you to go on a date with me."

Melanie grinned like a loon and jumped forward and wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him. Yup. She is hugging him. "Well of course I will go with you!" She said happily, she couldn't wait to tell Claire that she had gotten a date with a cute boy.

Lucius grinned and hugged Melanie back. She would have let him kiss her, but after working so hard to get this date-- Yes, two interactions with a girl and no sex is hard work- He decided it'd be sort of fun to wait for that. He could tell that she wouldn't disappoint him so he might as well add to the suspense of kissing ~~my sister~~ Melanie. He pulled away from the hug, his hands resting on Melanie's arms as he smiled at her. "Well then, I'll be sure to show you a good time. I won't lie, I feel sort of honored that I get to be the one to give you an official Hogwarts welcome."

Melanie smiled to herself a bit as he hugged her back and then looked up at him, a small smile on her face as he kept his hands on her arms. "Well, I feel honored to have one of the most attractive boys at Hogwarts give me an official Hogwarts Welcome." She said, a small smile still on her face. Poor Melanie has no idea what the real Lucius is like and thinks he is just some charming boy here at Hogwarts.

Lucius is a nice boy. LOLJK NO HE'S NOT. But he is an amazing actor, is he not? "Well then, looks like this is going to be some date, huh? I guess I'll be seeing you soon, Melanie. Very soon," he said softly, letting her name roll off his lips before placing a soft kiss on her hand. He smiled once more then turned to walk off towards the castle with his pimp cane, looking rather pleased with himself as he did so.
