Re: The Middle Ages
"Well thanks!" She said with a wide grin as he said that they looked nice. "Are you sure? Oh okay!" She said, not even waiting for him to answer the question before she put her fork into the bowl. I don't know how to describe her getting some salad on her fork. So she got some of that lovely food on her fork and took a bite of it, she chewed it and swallowed it and gave him a smile. "It's so good, James! You're amazing." She told him.

Re: The Middle Ages
James was rather amused at the fact that she asked him a question and then didn't even wait for his answer. Parv was something else. A good something else of course, for James loved her the way she was. He couldn't help but beam from her praise, soon putting his fork in the bowl and taking a bite as well. "Not too bad," he said happily after trying some. "It's definitely an improvement from the constant bread that they have around here. I bet Joe and his wife get tired of it."

Re: The Middle Ages
Parvati raised an eyebrow slightly. "Not too bad?" She asked. "It's amazing, James. Especially considering what you had to prepare it. It is amazing." She told him again. "Yeah, they are probably used to eating it like all the time though, you know? Like they aren't like us. They aren't used to having a different meal almost every night." She said with a light shrug. "They definitely don't have a lot of the things we have. So I guess just eating bread all the time is just what they do." She said with a small nod before taking another bite.

Re: The Middle Ages
James figured he'd definitely get tired of eating bread so much. It was such a boring thing to eat. Perhaps he could show Joe and his wife a few easy things that they could do to make the food more exciting. Yep. He was planning already. He had also flushed sightly from her compliment and it made him think of something that he had been a little reluctant to tell anyone. "Ihaveaconfession. IthinkIwanttodosomethingwithfoodandcookingafterIgraduate," he mumbled quickly, feeling a little embarrassed about thinking of taking his skills in the kitchen and doing something professional with them.

Parvati's eyes widened slightly at his confession. "Really James?!" She asked with wide eyes. "Oh my gosh! That's so exciting." She said as a wide grin spread across her lips. "Seriously, that's such a good idea. You are an amazing chef and I am sure anyone would want to hire you as head chef in a restaurant. Oh! Or you could start your own restaurant too! That would be so cool." She said, rather excited that James wanted to do something that had to do with cooking after school. "I would seriously eat there like every day I could if you were making the food."

Re: The Middle Ages
James couldn't help but smile from her excitement, relieved that she didn't think it was stupid or anything. "Yeah, I'd probably have to start out at a restaurant to gain experience before starting my own," he grinned. He glanced down at the salad bowl than dug his fork into some of the lettuce. "You don't think it's stupid?" he asked hesitantly. "I'm scared to tell my parents. They'll probably comment about how cooking is a great hobby...but not really that great for a job. And Al...I can't even imagine what he would say. I don't really hear much from Lils though," he said with a small shrug before taking a bite of the salad.

Parvati shook her head. "No James! It is not stupid in the slightest." She told him. "If anyone is going to tell you that you shouldn't do it then ignore them. My parents tell me every time they see me that Cheering isn't going to get me anywhere. That I'll never be able to make a career out of it but I don't care, James. I just don't listen to them because if you do listen to them then they'll be right. You just have to ignore what they all say and prove them all wrong." She said with a bright smile. "Seriously, you are amazing in the kitchen and I am positive you could make an amazing career out of it."

Re: The Middle Ages
James knew that she was right, that he if it was something that he wanted to do then he ought to just do it. He really did enjoy cooking and people seemed to respond rather positively to what he made for them. “I know that if I’m passionate about it…that’s what matters. But… about what people will say?” he mumbled. “I mean, I don’t care that it’s a field that typically girls excel at. That doesn’t matter to me. But, I feel like I’ll be judged or critiqued or something because of it. Then it doesn’t help having the last name Potter,” he sighed.

Parvati reached over to take his hand that wasn't holding the fork in hers. "James, no matter what career you go into you're going to get judged and critiqued by at least someone." She told him, because she knew she definitely would get critiqued with having a career in cheerleading. "No matter what you do there will be that one person who finds a way to trash talk you but you can't focus on that person. You have to focus on the person who says 'Damn, that James Sirius Potter is an awesome chef. He deserves a raise!'" She told him with a small grin. "Really though, if you want to go into cooking, you should do it. It shouldn't matter what people will think or say."

Re: The Middle Ages
James was quiet as he listened to her, knowing that she really was right. He really ought to just do something that he really wanted to and was good at. There would always be people out there saying he wasn't good enough or judging his choice of career. He just had to make sure not to really pay them much attention. "You're absolutely right," he told her, a small smile slipping onto his face. "I need to do what I love and will become a chef," he said confidently. "I just need to not worry what others think as much. It's important to do something that I love."

"Exactly." She said with a wide smile. "You will become a master chef and people will come from around the world to taste your meals." She said with a wide smile still on her face. "And you're going to love doing it and I am going to love watching you do it." She said, looking down at the bowl and taking another bite of salad, she swallowed it and looked back at him. "You're going to be an amazing chef, James."

Re: The Middle Ages
"Thanks Parvati," he said, the smile still on his face. He really was thankful for how she managed to make him feel better about the whole thing, for it had definitely been on his mind for quite a bit. He just didn't think that many people would approve or expect him to want to make a career out of cooking. "The only downside is that I'll have to work a lot of weekends and holidays," he said sadly.

Re: The Middle Ages
Parvati frowned slightly when he mentioned having to work on the weekends and holidays. "Aww, that'll suck." She said with a small pout. It would be pretty upsetting to have to spend holiday's with just her family and without James there, she really did like the idea of both of their families coming together for the holday's. "But you know, I'll probably be working a lot of weekends too if I do get a job in cheering." She reminded him. "A lot of games are on weekends."

Re: The Middle Ages
"Mmm, that's true," he said with a sigh. He knew that if she did get a cheering job, she was going to have to travel lots and he definitely wasn't looking forward to spending time without her. "We'll manage to make it work though," he told her with a small smile. "Eventually if I manage to open my own place, I won't have to work as much. Then I could always come and visit the games as well," he suggested.

Parvati nodded as he said that they would manage to make it work. "Yeah, we will." She agreed with a small nod. "I am sure we will." She said, giving him a small smile. "Would you really want to do that though?" She asked, her nose scrunching up slightly. "I mean, would you really want to go to the games just to watch me cheer? I guess you could watch the game too. But I might end up cheering for some really sucky team and then the games would all be boring."

Re: The Middle Ages
"Do you really think that I would care that much about the team you cheer for? It could be for England or the Falcons or the Canons and I would definitely come and support you," he promised. "Honestly, the type of team doesn't matter in the slightest. I'd probably just end up watching you most of the time," he said with a small grin. After all, watching his sexy girlfriend cheer was a bit more appealing than watching a Quidditch game for teams he probably didn't care that much about.

"Really?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "You would go to a Canon's game for me?" She asked curiously. "Remember when you first asked me out on our first date in the common room and we talked about my career in cheering you said whatever you do just don't cheer for the Canons." She reminded him and then flushed slightly as she noticed she still remembered that moment. "Wow, I can't believe I still remember that moment so well." She said quietly, mostly to herself.

"Well, things definitely have changed. I mean, I'm not crazy about them... but I'd still come to support you," he said with a small shrug. "And it's not a bad thing to remember the details. I definitely think back to them all the time. Like how I very nearly killed you when I first met you on the stairs. Sorry about that," he said, giving her a slightly apologetic smile, even though clearly they had both been fine.

"Really?" She asked with a small smile, slightly shocked that he would go to a canon's game just for her. "You're amazing." She told him with a sigh, she knew he would never believe it himself, but she figured the more she told him how amazing he was, the more convinced he might actually be that she really thought he was. She smiled widely as he brought up when they had first met on the stairs. "Sorry?" She asked as she looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. "You shouldn't be sorry about that. If anything I should be thanking you for running into me." She said with a small smile. "Because if you hadn't then we wouldn't be here today together. We wouldn't be dating and you wouldn't be the best part of my life." She said, a small smile still spread across her lips.

Re: The Middle Ages
Marco stumbled a little, the quick motion and jerking feeling of the time turner taking him further back than it was generally used for setting him off his balance. Not to mention all the armor he'd put on, which was quite a bit heavier than his usual clothing. Regaining his balance quickly, he looked around, not entirely sure exactly where he was, but knowing that there was someone he had to find. So then he rode his horse across some country land and then climbed up some old stone stairs to a castle and fought a dragon and slayed it with his mighty sword which some chick in some lake handed to him previously, and then he went back to where he started where he'd seen some people talking who looked like they didn't belong. Sure, that was the round about way to do it, but if you were going to go to the Middle Ages, you might as well have a good story out of it. He reached out and tapped the girl on the shoulder. "Excuse me," he said, with his delicious Italian accent, "I think you have been here far too long, and you are needed back in your own time."
He also totally looks like this, but with a bit of dragon blood on him, because not even this man of perfection can stay perfectly clean while slaying a massively hormonal and angry dragon.

*is ignoring the Italian dude*
James just shrugged his shoulders, really not understanding why she thought he was so amazing. He just did what he thought was right and felt right. He loved supporting her and didn't see why going to the games would make him amazing. He couldn't help but to smile because of what she said, figuring that he definitely was glad that they had met. "Yeah, I suppse you're right," he said. "I think I'm more sorry about how we met though," he clarified. "I mean, you nearly fell of the stairs because of me. As corny as it is, I guess I believe in destiny and I feel like we definitely would have met at some point."

Parvati smiled widely. “Yeah, well, I guess that’s true.” She said in agreement. “If we were meant to be, which I am pretty sure we are, we would have met eventually.” She said, setting her fork down on the table because she really wasn’t up to eating much right now. Her mind had drifted back to the fact that she might be pregnant and even though she wasn’t talking about it or freaking out on the outside about it, she was still freaking out on the inside. She pulled her legs up onto the bed, sitting Indian style on the bed as she let out a sigh and rested her head on his shoulder.

I'll post to RoR a bit later. My sister is like....in range of seeing the computer screen <.< Soooo yeah. AWKS.
"We definitely would have," he said, giving her a smile. He had no doubt that no matter what came their way, him and Parvati would definitely be able to make it. They easily supported each other and if what they were going through now was an indication, then they could totally handle what the future threw at them. He watched as she moved, her head going to his shoulder, and took another bite of his shoulder. "That was quite the heavy sigh," he stated, shoving even more salad into his mouth and then chewing and swallowing.
