Tam -looks straight into her eyes- In the long run, I think we will be. We can pretend for now, but--but the fact remains that we're not gonna be best friends right now. Maybe in a couple weeks, or a couple months, we'll become really good friends. We do, after all, have a lot to bond over. I just--I know that I can't say "well, let's forget about the fact that we had a kid and then that I fucked Luna and you fucked four random people. Let's go be best mates and frolic around..." -trails off, and then looks up again- I just...I need a little bit of time to think. To talk to other people. To get used to this. And for now, we can agree on things--like how to raise a family, like how to work together...and we can hope that eventually we can feel those things--okay?

-tears linger in the back of his eyes, stinging slightly, and he clutches Hashbee tighter, hoping that Tam'll agree, that this won't be any more complicated than it needed to be, that he could just take his baby back to the Gryffindor common room and have a firewhiskey and a talk with Remus...-

*Tam watched them go, not noticing the tear that slipped down her face. It was all her fault, she could accept that, but she just hoped that she hadn't ruined her baby's life. She got up and slowly wandered away, not sure where she was headed*
