Re: A Grassy Clearing
Jenna is really starting to like Molly, they think alike. "I know! And I'm pretty sure he has informants or something around the castle because there is no way that only he and Mrs. Norris can do all of that on their own. And besides, if Filch blames me one more time for something I didn't do, there might be dungbombs headed is way in the near future. I can't stand injustice, if he catches me for something I did, that's one thing but something I didn't do, is completely another."
Re: A Grassy Clearing
Molly is glad Jenna is starting to like her, she loves making friends. Her eyes widen a little; the concept of Filch not working alone (well, alone if Mrs Norris doesn't count, and Molly says she doesn't) has never really occurred to her. She functions with the mindset that at Hogwarts you're either student or adult, and the only ones traitorous to that are the Prefects who wouldn't answer to Filch anyway. "OhmyGod, I bet you're totally right! Ugh, I wonder who it is. Maybe he has a budget for bribing students or something every year, and that's how he knows stuff. Or maybe when he catches people doing something super bad that they really really wouldn't want to get found out he bribes them. You could have, like, an informant who spies on you and reports back to Filch and that's why he's always trying to pin stuff on you."

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Jenna thought for a moment, considering Molly's idea, "Yeah, I guess that could be a reason, another possible reason is that my brother dungbombed Filch's office once a semester for seven years. But who knows, it could be both." Jenna agrees that Prefects are traitors (for the most part) to all teenage-kind. It wasn't natural, to report pranks and other 'shenanigans' when they are the ones that should be doing that kind of thing in the first place. Maybe it was some disease, maybe responsibilititis.

-Molly, because Mya is too lazy to open the second browser even though the button is right there...-
Molly giggles. "That could totally have something to do with it. Maybe he still hasn't got the smell out of there - I've never been in it myself but my brothers and sister have all got a detention or two over the years and they say it's, like, kind of rank in there. You'd think the guy who's meant to look after the castle would look after his own office a little more, you know?" She shrugs. And Inner!Lily is offended by all this Prefect judgement, but Molly is just going to sit here and smirk because she believes it's totally true.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Inner!Jenna apologizes to Inner!Lily, because she isn't currently friends with any Prefects, and suggests Inner!Gwen for her instead because Gwen actually pays attention to the rules. "Filch always finds excuses to not let me into his office, even when I'm in trouble, he's probably right to anyway, I would actually seize the opportunity and strategically place some dung bombs around the office, he'll kill me, but it would be well worth it to see him freak out like that." Jenna is getting lost in a prank fantasy now, so excuse me while I bring her back to the present..........Ok, she's back.

Inner!lily accepts Inner!Jenna's apology, and says she would love to get to know Inner!Gwen. Molly watches Jenna ramble on for a little bit and then trail off, as if lost in a bit of a prank fantasy. She just giggles and waits for the faraway look to fade from Jenna's eyes a little; Molly has been known to do the same thing when she gets an idea for a new recipe. "OhmyGod, if that ever happened, you should totally find a way to get pictures. Everyone would need to see that." She twirls a strand of red hair about her fingers, thinking. "I wonder if he keeps, like, everything he confiscates in there and it's just kind of a treasure trove of stuff waiting for someone to come along and swipe it all," she wonders, and luckily for her there are a couple of twin boys in her future who will be able to fill her in on that.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Inner!Jenna is very happy that Inner!Lily is being forgiving, it's never good to get on the wrong side of a prefect if you're a prankster. "Maybe I'd find a way to get a muggle video camera, and hide it somewhere in the room, record the whole thing, and then spread it around the castle. If I could pull that off without getting caught, it would be amazing, Henry would be so proud." Jenna grinned, her brother was nearly 28 and married with a little baby boy, but he still got incredibly excited about pranking, when it came to that, and every year before the start of school, he would give her a list of suggested pranks that he especially knew got under Filch's skin.

Well, what Inner!Lily doesn't know won't hurt her, right?
"That would be awesome!" Molly says, grinning and wondering if there was a spell to make that possible. She's not one for research really, so she doesn't tend to know about many of the more obscure charms in existence. She's a whiz with the common ones, though. "If you could pull that off, the Marauders might totally even have some competition for the 'best pranksters at Hogwarts' title! And I bet if you still managed to keep your identity secret, it'd totally kill them trying to figure out who pulled it off."

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Jenna is really starting to like Molly oodles and oodles. She listens to her pranking rants, and actually suggests good ideas to help make them better instead of just going all glassy eyed like some people *cough cough* Vee *cough cough*. "It would drive them insane! I really like you, you have to be my new pranking partner in crime! You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, but I give credit where credit is due, and besides, this will be a good way to show the other houses that badgers bite back." Jenna is actually superdooper excited and is on the verge of going all Tigger on us and jumping up and down with excitement.

Molly is kind of thrilled to have met Jenna - she's not exactly used to people putting much stock in her ideas outside the kitchen. She keeps grinning, excited by the offer. "OhmyGod, really? I've seriously never really done a proper prank or anything before but it would be so much freaking fun to try! You could totally help make people see how cool Puffs are and how you can't push 'em around, too. That would be neat! I'm so in." Ohboy - that is exactly why Mya keeps tranquillizer cookies on hand: she'd never get a second's peace from the voices in her head when they get excited over something otherwise...

Re: A Grassy Clearing
No worries, Jenna loves Molly's hyper enthusiasm, when trying to explain pranks to other friends, they tend to space out. It's nice to have someone listen for a change. "Never done a proper prank! Well Molly, that is about to change. I can get whoever, trickier people take more planning but Peeves likes me well enough because I annoy Filch so much, and he's a very useful ally. And as for the baking....I also love making brownies, we can have like a baked goods fest, and think of pranks to play on people! It would be like utopia!"

Molly just fell a teeny tiny bit in love. In a platonic way, of course. Molly's eyes go very wide and round, as if she can't quite believe her ears. "You're kidding, right? Just, ohmyGod that sounds amazing!" She wriggles about on the spot a bit and claps, sort of a sitting-down happy-dance. "It'll be so much fun, I sort of don't much really get to bake with people. Usually it's just for people, which is cool or whatever because I love to. It's just neat to do it differently I guess," she yammers.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Jenna is supersuper happy at the moment, and she's beginning to wonder how she had never met Molly before today, she had been at Hogwarts for a year now, and so being new was getting a bit old as an excuse. "Same here! I like baking for people though, because believe it or not, but this Beater can be a bit of a softie on occasion (but never tell anyone I said that, I have a reputation to uphold.) It will be the most delicious, epic thing that has ever Happened to Hogwarts since....I don't even know."
Re: A Grassy Clearing

Molly grins and crosses her heart in a promise that she won't tell anyone about Jenna's softer side. She thinks it's stupid that she's not met Jenna before now, and is making mental notes that she really needs to hang out with people beyond Gryffindor once in a while. Who knows how many awesome people like Jenna she could've been friends with long before now. "It'll be so much fun! Baking for people is, like, the best. Speaking of, I should totally send some cookies to my family soon. It's been a week or so now, they won't have anything left! Yeah, I'll definitely have to do that today or tomorrow." Somewhere in her mind, Molly equates feeding people with showing her love for them so it's a bit of a travesty that she's not sent baked goods more often.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Jenna is also wondering how she never managed to meet Molly before now, I guess that's what happens when the vast majority of your free time goes into Quidditch anything and everything. "Oh! That reminds me, my brother's birthday is coming up and I want to make him something. Every year I make him a different kind of brownies, and I need some ideas, any suggestions? I've already done, mint, blondie, classic, chocolate chip and peanut butter." Jenna is perplexed by this newfound situation, and hopes that Molly might have an idea or two, she would hate to actually have to consult a cookbook. Ew.

Molly twirls a strand of hair around her finger and thinks hard. Birthday treats are important business, after all. "Well you could always go for something that, like, takes two simple and yummy things and combines them into something totally awesome. Like, what about Nutella Cheesecake Brownies?" she suggests.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Gwen wandered around the grounds to her favorite clearing. She sat down against a tree and let her back rest against it, leaning back for a moment to enjoy the cool fall air. She reached into her bookbag, and pulled out a sketchbook and a pencil. She opened it to a fresh page and began to doodle. Doodling always relaxed her, it was a way for her to release tension, and let go of anything remotely stressful going on.
Re: A Grassy Clearing
Fred exited Charms class, a smile on his face, and not only because they had just finished cheering charms. He slung his bag over his shoulder, and went to meet Gwen on the grounds.
He spotted her right away, doodling in her sketchbook. He walked over. "Hey." He smiled. It had been a long time

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Gwen looked up when she heard an all too familiar voice, she already knew who it was, but that didn't make her any less happy than it would otherwise. She looked up into the crinkled, smiling blue eyes of her Freddie. "FREDDIE!" She jumped up and tackle-hugged him, how else was she expected to greet her boyfriend? It was usual protocol, and she wasn't intending to change her habits any time in the near future.
Re: A Grassy Clearing
Fred slightly dislikes being called Freddie. But he will put up with it because he adores Gwen.
Fred staggered back a bit when Gwen threw herself at him, but laughed and managed to regain his balance. "How've you been? It seems like forever since I've seen you." He kissed the top of her head.

Re: A Grassy Clearing
Gwen doesn't care that he doesn't like being called Freddie. She's going to do it anyway, and Fred can just deal with it because we all know that he is practically incapable of being mad at her. So Gwen's decided that she's just going to wing it, and Fred will never ever get pissed! "I'm a lot better now that you're here. Oh Merlin! That sounded so cheesy!" Gwen wrapped her arms around Fred and kissed him softly on the mouth.
