Fleur walks to the edge of the lake and slips her legs into the water. She swings them back and forth, leaning back on her hands and staring up into the darkening sky.

George looks over at Fleur as the lake ripples when she puts her legs in. "Hey Fleur. Might want to be careful, I've heard the grindylows are getting more aggressive."

Pansy wandered down to the lake and climbed up to sit in the lower branches of one of the trees. She wondered where all the Slytherins had gotten to. She hadn't seen Draco in a couple days and still needed to ask him to the ball. A couple Gryffindors were by the lake too, but none of the ones she had a current feud with, so she wasn't concerned.

George heard the leaves rustle nearby, but didn't spot Pansy as she was in a tree out of his line of sight.

Fleur tilted her head downwards, pulling her legs out of the water. She had a bad experience in the past with grindylows. She shivered and smiled faintly at George, "Zanks for ze warning!" She gave him a puzzling look, "What are you doing out by ze lake?"

He smiled. "You're welcome. Me? I'm just thinking. Coming up with a new prank. Might go for the marauders next. They've got it coming, don't you think? What are you doing out here?"

"I guess you could say zat!" She laughed, thinking about the pranks the Marauders had done in the past. The Twins definitely would put up a fight for the best prankster title. She paused, before answering, "Same. Except I'm theenking about uzzer theengs. It's 'ard to theenk up in Gryffindor Tower. Especially when you can't concentrate..."

Draco angrily walked down to the lake. He wasn't over the fight with Dee and George. He had somewhat forgiven Dee, but he was livid with George. Next time he saw the bastard he would use...And there he was. Sitting. He felt the anger rise and he did his best to control himself. He practically sprinted to the other side of the lake, keeping himself out of view, and sat down. He ran a hand through his hair, glaring up at the stars. They seemed to be mocking him, it seemed. Everything was nowadays.

George smirked. "yeah, I've been there. thats why I like to come out to the lake. Its quiet, and really peaceful." He remembered something. "So how's Sirius? I kinda yelled at him the other night, but, he's okay right? He was pretty banged up."

Pansy turned around in the tree as she heard someone coming down to the lake, only in time to see Draco running angrily to the other side of the lake. She paused for a minute before jumping down and walking toward him, wondering what could have him so upset.

Fleur hiccuped at the mention of Sirius. She had been thinking about him and the girl talk she had with her friends the night before. She sighed, "'E tends to be zat way more often zen most. It's worrying, mind you," She looked across the lake, a small frown on her face, "I 'aven't talked to 'im in a bit though. We're supposed to go to ze ball together, of course, but um - " She stopped herself before going further, "Well, 'e's alright. Zat's all zat matters," She smiled, "'Ow's Ange?"

Draco noticed Pansy walking towards him. He sighed, relieved. If it had been anyone else he probably would have killed himself right then and there. He was sick of everyone confronting him about where he had been and the fact that everyone decided to go with the 'unity' crap. He managed to pull himself together as Pansy drew closer and smirked up at her, "Hey Parkinson," He let out a small laugh.

"Zat's good! I am 'appy for ze both of you," She grinned, showing support, before staring back out at the lake, "Do you ever wonder what else could be hiding in zere?" She paused, "I mean - besides ze grindylows and ze giant squid...."

Pansy sat down in the grass beside him. "Hey you. How's it been?" She couldn't ignore the fact that it'd been a while since she last saw him, but it didn't bother her terribly. She knew they'd always done their own things before, and knew some things would never be changing, no matter what.

Fleur wrapped her arms around her legs. When she was little, she remembered the muggle fairy tales that described merpeople as beautiful. She sighed, "I've always 'oped zat zere was something more underneath zis exterior zat I could find without so much work. It's too mysterious. Too 'ard to understand," She was secretly confiding in George, without mentioning anything specific.

"It's been..." His voice trailed off as he stared across the lake at George. How that stupid Weasley angered him, he would never know. He glanced over at Pansy, pausing slightly before continuing, "It's been hell, let's put it that way."

George looked up. Somehow he knew she wasn't talking about the lake anymore, but didn't want to say anything. "For some people, its hard to see past the exterior. I try to look to the inside."

Pansy glanced down at the bandages she still had to wear on her hand and arm as he talked. They weren't healing as quickly as she wanted, and it annoyed her. "Tell me about it," she laughed. This week had indeed been interesting, between the duel, and Tam's pregnancy coming out, and whatever else mess had happened. She couldn't even remember it all anymore.

Fleur let her hand gently trace lines in the water. She whispered, "What if what's inside might not be sometheeng you care to see?" She looked back over at George. She wasn't sure why she was talking about this. It just seemed to flow off her tongue, "I'm trying to see beyond ze exterior. But it's 'ard when you're constantly pushed back by zese obstacles."
