He looked down at her hand in his and tried very hard not to panic. "Yes. I do. Very much." He reached up and gently wiped away the tears that were on her face. "I've felt...so empty since you've been gone from my life. After being with...Sev for a while I realized that no one else could ever fill the void but I didn't think you'd ever take me back so I decided that I would never love anyone else again. I didn't want to hurt anyone else because I couldn't give them all of me. I couldn't forget about you though...I could never stop loving you Hermione. I don't know if you would ever want me back after all I've done to you but if you would...I'm yours. No one else's just yours."

I love you too... *She looks down and then, gathering her courage, looks up again* I think it was about that time I started drinking... It seemed ok at first, made it so I could smile again. Then it just got necessary....

*shakes her head, trying to get back on track*

Look, Remus, I don't know what to do here. I love you, I do, and I'll always be yours but... is it going to be the same as it was? I can't do that again... What do you want from me?

[haven't seen that in ages haha i'm watching OotP right now...Umbridge's voice makes me ill haha, that actress does her part so darn well]

He got off the floor then sat down on the couch next to her still holding her hand.
"I don't want it to be the same as last time, I won't let it be. I'll never be able to forgive myself for all the crap I put you through. I want us to be together and have good times. Problems may arise, no one's safe from them, but we'll deal with it together instead of keeping things from each other. I don't want to lose you ever again."

He smiled back at her unable to describe how happy he was. She was his and he loved her. It felt good to hold her again and he wrapped his arms around her. They were very close now and he looked into her eyes for permission to close that little distance between them so he could kiss her.

He smiled again and close the distance between them finally. He held her tightly to him as he kissed her deeply.
The emptiness inside of him had disappeared and he felt the happiest he'd been in a long time.
