Nikki blinked back tears as Fred's voice got louder. I am not going to cry. She raised her chin defiantly. "Fred, I barely know you, and I have an overactive imagination... at best. She walked up to you, and kissed you on the cheek as if you were they guy she had always been with, the guy she only wanted to be with, the guy she cherished above all. I trust you, but what if some Slytherin had been using Polyjuice to hurt you, to hurt me? What if you aren't as fabulous as you seem?" Nikki realized a tear had leaked out. She wiped it away angrily.

Fred pulled a hand through his hair frustratedly. He could see where she was coming from. He hadn't seen Angela's face or any of her body language, but if she had really thought he was George, Nikki's description fit. "Nikki. It was definitely me she kissed," he said, hopefully throwing out her polyjuice potion notion. [Anyways, polyjuice takes at least a month to make and Frikki hasn't been together that long.] "As for why she seemed so..." he floundered for words, "well, why she looked the way she did. If Ange really thought I was George, that's how she would act. That's how the two of them are," he explained.

[I disappear in 15 minutes to watch Glee. Let's not rush this though. If you have to leave while I'm off, we can continue tomorrow.]

"I know now." Her voice was soft, sad. "But did I then? Of course I know you are a twin, but I also saw your brother that night, and he was dressed totally different. How was I supposed to know his girlfriend wouldn't remember? We barely know each other, I didn't even know your twin was dating!" Her voice had gotten louder as she spoke, but it dropped off again. "I really like you Fred. But how much do you know about me? Other than the fact I am wildly outrageous because I can be? Other than the fact I hate conventionality?" She shook her head. "I don't know anything about you."

Fred gritted his teeth together, trying not to get frustrated. "It's not my fault she mistook me for him. How was I supposed to know she wouldn't remember?" he asked, trying to keep a cool head. He sighed after a moment though because he could see her point. "I don't know much about you at all," he admitted. "You don't know much about me. But I like you and I want to get to know you," he said.

Nikki sighed, and walked over to him. Laying a hand on his shoulder, she whispered, "This is only a temporary bad thing. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And I have no intention of letting this kill us." A smaller, less bright version of her impish smile appeared on her face. "So there!" She stuck her tongue out. "And I have an idea about how we can get to know each other." She gave a brighter smile, but it still wasn't up to her normal standard. "Have you heard of the game Truth?"

Fred's shoulders relaxed noticeably and he let out a sigh. "Well, that's good," he said with a tentative smile. "Truth?" he repeated in response to her question. "I know what truth is, but I've never heard of it being played... as a game," he said with a slightly confused look.

"You ask me anything. And I answer truthfully. If you don't want to answer, you pass, and ask the other person one question. If they answer you lose. It is the bane of girls' slumber parties, if it gets vicious. But, if you play nicely, it is fun, and a great way to get to know someone."

[Fred Weasley - Inactive]

"Oooh. Sounds scary. But fun," he said, flashing one of his trademark grins though it was not quite as bright as usual. "So who goes first?" he asked, ready to get started immediately. He really did want to get to know her better.

Nikki smiled. "I'll go first. What is your least favorite food?"

[Fred Weasley - Inactive]

"Least favorite?" he repeated, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm. I don't really know. I like most foods," he said with a grin. "I really don't like corned beef though. Is that a satisfactory answer?" he checked, an impish grin becoming visible on his face.

"I guess. Now you get to ask me a question."

[Fred Weasley - Inactive]

"Ok," he said. He thought a moment before asking, "What's your favorite color and why?"

Nikki gave a smile. "Green. Because it is the color of life. Trees and grass and bushed, they are all green. I hate winter because there isn't enough green." She thought for a moment. "What do you see yourself doing in thirteen years? Not fifteen, thirteen."
