Severus decided it was time to stop wallowing in self pity, and get out of here. He didn't want the school to notice he was missing, and he really wanted to find Pansy again. He grabbed his things and went downstairs, looking for Pansy. He found her and sat in a chair across from her. "Thanks. For the pancakes," he said to wall.

Pansy glanced up from her cup of pumpkin juice. "You're welcome. Better this morning?" She moved the cup in a tiny circle on the table, watching the bright orange juice swirl up against the sides.

"Yeah. I guess. You always make things better." He looked up at her, feeling like shit from drinking so much, and crying so much. He wanted to go back to his bed, and hide under the covers until he didn't hurt anymore. He'd just stay here, but the school would notice he was missing; besides, his own bed didn't smell like goat feces. "I think I'm gonna head back to the castle. Coming?" he asked, waving Aberforth over to collect whatever whiskey he could afford with the money he'd given him before.

"Sure," she answered, not sure what she'd encounter back in the common room. She had to talk to Draco at some point, and she couldn't put it off. She drank the rest of her juice and got up, pulling her robe on over her shoulders and tugging up a sock that had slipped down a bit.
