Severus stomps up to the portrait, seething. Whatever dizziness he'd had fled with his anger, and he clutched his wand tightly as he leaned against the wall beside the portrait. I will wait here for as long as it takes, Potter. I will wait here and then I will kill you, KILL YOU DEAD! And no, I will not turn you into an onion, and make onion rings out of you, like I said I would, OH NO, I WILL NOT. IT WILL BE WORSE! I'll squeeze the jelly from your eyes! I WILL EAT IT ON TOAST. YOU WILL SUFFER. Severus has the look of a very insane man who is about to commit extremely violent acts and laugh about it later.

James stepped out of the common room, looking down. He didn't see Snape until.... *your post goes here*

[Very true, Sev. Please don't kill James? I at least want to see him TRY and redeem himself as right now he really is skulking around like a kicked puppy...Lily is NOT impressed.]

The moment James stepped through the portrait hole, his face came in contact with Sev's fist. There was a sickening crunch as both James' glasses and nose broke, but Severus didn't seem to notice. Grabbing him by the collar of his shirt he lifted him up and pinned him against the wall with strength that came seemingly from nowhere- oh, the power of adrenalin. Wrapping his fingers around his throat as he had done to Adrian just two days ago, he glared at him furiously; he didn't remember feeling this angry in his whole life. "You keep your grimy hands off of her, you hear me? Touch her again, and I'll break more than just your face. You disgust me, you filthy animal!" he hissed, watching him turn blue as he cut off his oxygen supply. He dropped him to the ground and kicked him hard in the ribs before turning away and disappearing down the halls before James had even been able to process what had just happened.

[I totally was going to do worse but I need to go to bed. That makes me sad. Also, I cannot marry Lily if I am in Azkaban.]

James flailed kind of uselessly, then fell to the ground and stayed there for a while, taking deep, gasping breaths. "Okay," he said finally, then did that weird thing where you just repeat the same word over and over and over again because you have clue what the fuck just happened. "Ow. Okay. Okay. Ow. Okay." Cut it out. "Okay." STOP. "Okay" He pulled himself over to the wall, and sat for a few minutes, catching his breath. When he could breath normally again, and the pain had faded a little, he got angry. He didn't bother with his broken glasses, still on the floor. He got up, said the password to the Fat Lady, who had so far graciously refrained from making fun of him for being beat up by Snape, then stepped back inside.
