Hahahahaha! I saw that on tumblr! Love it!
Also, I was rewatching The Doctor's Wife today so my mom could see it and had a revelation.

- Spoiler:
- Near the end when the Doctor's working under the main deck or whatever and Rory and Amy come down to talk to him about the TARDIS Rory says she just kept repeating something before she died. When the Doctor asked what it was he told him "The only water in the forest is the river." I had a spaz attack.

Re: Doctor Who
My brother and I, we have a theory.
It concerns the Lodger, and a clip from the trailer for S6.
Please note, this hasn't been checked for details or anything yet, and was literally something I came up with by talking to my bro today.

- Spoiler:
- This theory is that the crashed ship missing a pilot from the Lodger is River's. Either she built it, or it was built for her (although the former is much more likely) - my personal take is that she built it as a child (for explanation's sake, I shall refer to child!River as Melody), when she was Melody, and used it to escape her captors. Only thing was, Melody didn't know how to pilot it properly (she hadn't learnt yet), and it crashed, and she was out getting repairs or some such thing when the events of the Lodger took place. The version of the ship in the S6 trailer is River's, a more complete form of the prototype she can actually fly.

Re: Doctor Who
Some RP sites are stupid.
I was looking at one that wanted Fiyero from Wicked, and they had a Doctor Who section.
They wanted (spoilered if you haven't seen 'A Good Man Goes to War'):

Re: Doctor Who
Who-related Confession: I don't like Karen Gillan. I don't like her character, and I don't like her as a person. I know I'm kind of backwards and I prefer everything to be good and wholesome and I'm a crazy purist and all, but I was really kind of shocked when I saw her in short skirts in every single episode. Like my first thought was that even Billie Piper was more covered up. And really, she's on a family show. I realize not every person can be a role model, but when your target audience is families, I feel like you should be a bit more of a role model. You know, at least not getting so drunk you end up outside of a stranger's hotel room door completely naked and whimpering at 3 am.
-climbs off soapbox- She's still damn sexy.

Re: Doctor Who
I love Karen Gillan. I have this thing where I hate that a "family show" automatically means that any sort of sexy outfit is taboo, especially when Karen's 'sexy' is actually quite tame - to me the skirts aren't that short, they're always with tights and boots, and she never shows any skin up top, either. You honestly just never see that much skin on Amy Pond, even if a lot of the outfits from Karen's previous modelling career are risqué as fuck at times. I don't like everything her character has done - I feel like the time she hit on the Doctor was a bit out there for a family oriented show, but *shrug* By my standards it's all v. tame and she works with what the writers give her to go on.
The other thing that gets me is that Matt Smith can go to a beach and be photographed with his completely topless girlfriend, and he's all very suitable for a family show and nobody tries to police his private life and say that because he is the Doctor, he shouldn't be allowed to have a girlfriend that goes topless. And I've heard that when Matt did Christopher and his Kind, Doctor Who put a strict 'no nudity' clause on him because of the nature of Doctor Who (although anything from that has been far more out there than what I've seen from Karen). Karen can do whatever the hell she likes in her private life, and it's nobody's business just because of the job she happens to have. (I get the same kind of reaction when people talk about Emma Watson drinking under-age or supposedly being a slut or whatever - Emma Watson =/= Hermione Granger.)
I read the story about Karen supposedly being drunk outside a hotel at 3am, and I know a lot of people will believe it, but my personal opinion was that a lot of that story didn't add up or make a whole lot of sense, and personally I don't believe it.
I love Karen, and I love Amy Pond and what she does with her, but I do also think that Karen makes a better model and a better tv personality than she does an actor.
All that being said, I completely understand why people take the opposite view of her, this is just my perspective on things and I don't expect to change anyone's mind or that I should be considered more right than anyone else.

And yes, she is damn sexy.

Re: Doctor Who
I adore Karen so much. But she is not the first scantily clad companion, and it's tastefully done. Even off-screen, Old!Who has had more scantily clad actresses misbehaving and more drama than pretty much all of New!Who. On-screen, you have Leela, companion to the Fourth Doctor in 1977 and 1978. (I put a picture below if you want to see her costume) Off-screen, the actress who played Jo Grant did a naked shoot with a Dalek (I found photos of that too), and you have the messy dissolving of a terrible marriage between Tom Baker (the Fifth Doctor) and Lalla Ward (Romana II), which cause more fuss than anything else I've heard about behind the scenes at any stage of Doctor Who.
And yes, it is a family show - on paper, but gas mask children in WW2, monsters you can't remember, it's hardly kid friendly. I know people who don't let their children watch Doctor Who until they're older, because it's simply too scary. It gave me nightmares (The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances especially), and I'm an adult.
I hate the fact that Karen = Amy. Mya's right, Matt had a clause but it was no full-frontal nudity - there was almost everything but that, including a gay sex scene, and somehow that hasn't reflected at all on him as the Doctor. And even if that story was true (which I highly highly highly doubt) - part of the reason I doubt it is because the article only surfaced 3 months after it supposedly happened - having a few drinks and locking yourself out of a hotel room happens, and it's silly, but hardly insane. She is only human.

Hopefully this means Arthur is staying too.
I need Rory.
I need him.
Re: Doctor Who
This show is so great. I'm a new watcher to this series, though I only started off with the 9th doctor.
I'm really sad he only had 1 season.

I love Eccleston! He was great! And don't worry, I think we've all just watched the new stuff. I've seen a couple from the 3rd and 7th Doctors, but that's because my dad loooooved the old stuff and has everything from his favorite Doctors.

Re: Doctor Who
Eccleston was amazing!!! I really miss him. Ten was 'my' Doctor, he was the first I saw, but Nine is definitely my second favourite, with Eleven in close third. And I've only seen the modern ones too, but one day I hope I'll get around to some Classic Who. XD

Re: Doctor Who
So am I the only one who has noticed that in the past two episodes, the Doctor has used the phrase "in the flesh".
IDK, maybe I'm just having wishful thinking & reading too much into stuff, but I definitely say the Doctor is the Flesh Doctor, or a Flesh Doctor. Because clearly he cannot have his final death... *nods*

Mya, this is about all you missed in Confidential.
(LOOK AT THAT MUSTACHE, OMG. MARK GATISS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING.)
Other than that, it was basically Mark Gatiss' history in DW and the usual filming stuff.
