"You're strong love. You'll get through this, and you'll have me with you the whole way."Remus wrapped his arms around her and Hashbee gently. He kissed the top of her head then lightly rested his head atop hers. Her lack of energy most likely dealt with all the emotional strain but it worried him. It seemed like it was more than just that. Like there was something wrong, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. She felt different to him. It was weird. He sighed and closed his eyes. He wouldn't let anything happen to her. He would protect her and help her through everything. I love you Hermione and won't let anyone hurt you.

*Hermione manages a feeble smile. She doesn't feel strong right now. She feels thin - sort of stretched out, like butter scraped over too much bread. [teehee] But she knows it'll be ok. Between her and Remus, they can find the answer. She adjusts Hashbee in her arms and slumps further against Remus, somewhere on the verge between wakefulness and sleep. Maybe she just needs a little rest, and she'll be fine.*

"Anytime love." He was still worried about her exhaustion and was still trying to figure out what was different about her. For now he'd let her rest though. Maybe she'd feel better after getting some rest.

[I feel you two should know that I became enraged when I saw that someone was in my picnic spot but then saw t was you two and was all like "oh yay remione!!!!" and then I read Mya's post and went all "OMR where the frickity fuckity fucking fuck fuck was her parents letter?!?!!!?!??" and that that's the mental state I'm in now.... Just felt like sharing that with you]

*Hermione shifts a little, her eyes slowly opening. She looks down at the sleeping infant still held close against her chest and smiles. Then she glances over her shoulder apologetically at Remus.*

I'm sorry, didn't mean to doze off. How long was I out?

Remus smiled and brushed some hair away from his eyes. "It's okay. You've only been out for a while. No problems. I've enjoyed watching you two sleep."

*She smiles and rolls her shoulders a little, trying to loosen up her muscles without disturbing the baby.*

Well, I suppose we should head back to the common room. I don't want any of us getting sick!

He nodded in agreement then helped her up being careful not to disturb Hashbee. "Sounds like a good idea. Let's go." He made the blanket they'd been sitting on disappear then joined her as they headed back to the common room.

*Hermione wanders down to the little clearing, wishing she'd used some common sense and just gone to bed after leaving Hashbee with Remus. The fresh air was slightly soothing in her lungs, but she still ached and her stomach was still unsettled. With a sigh, she conjures a blanket and sits on it. Within a minute, that becomes too much hassle and she lays down in the sun, eyes closed, too tired to contemplate anything more strenuous for now.*

*Her mind turns, against her better judgement, to the letter her parents had sent her. It still galls her to think about it. She knows she's changed a lot through this year at Hogwarts, and she knows she's made some mistakes - quite a lot, actually - but she's learned from them. It's not as if she doesn't have the same maturity she's always shown, the same ability to think through things for herself and reach the right conclusion. Angry tears burn in her eyes, fighting to squeeze past her closed lids but she holds them back. She reminds herself that she is 17, she is of age in the Wizarding world and therefore completely within her rights as well as her capabilities to make her own decisions.*

*For a brief moment she considers grabbing Remus and dragging him off to the nearest chapel and then sending her parents a picture after the deed is done, but she knows that's not going to help her cause - if they thought she was getting married just to spite them, they'd never learn to accept her choices. No, she knows she'll have to write them back, even though the thought of having to justify her actions and explain her feelings makes her blood boil. One of the tears sneaks past her eyelids and she swipes angrily at her cheek to get rid of it, but it's soon joined by another, and another, and another, until she's overtaken by a storm of angry sobbing. She hates everything right now - hates her stupid body for being sick, hates her stupid parents for being stupid, hates the stupid sun for being too warm and the stupid ground for being too ground-like.*

Nikki wandered down on the lawns, somehow alone, and thought she heard something. Following the sound, she found Mya sitting and crying. Rushing over to her, Nikki wrapped around her arms around her and held her, murmuring, "It'll be okay, don't worry. Everything will be better."
