Rashka followed an intriguing scent to the lake. It smelled like Remus, but wasn't Remus. It had a different smell lingering with the Remusness. He wondered what it was.

[Tammikins I'm about to head to work so likely will only be able to keep up with this thread - does tonight/tomorrow morning work for you for much yelling?]

*Hermione hears a little movement nearby and looks around, vaguely hoping it was Tam. She didn't know whether she was more angry at her twin, or worried for her right now, because it seemed like she'd really gone off the deep end... She frowns when she spots the unknown boy moving cautiously towards her, then realizes it's rude to be frowning at someone you don't even know and smooths her features into a more neutral look. Then she frowns again - he almost looks like he's sniffing, as if he's following a scent... She bites her lip.*

Um... hello?

He smelled the air once more, and looked at her confused. "Hi. You smell like Remus." He sat next to her. After all, fi she smelled like Remus, it was okay right? That's what his puppy mind said anyway.

[Ok, I'll be gone at least a couple of hours because I have a work morning tea (have to leave the house in 7 mins and I'm wearing a towel... go me!) but I'll sneak back on as soon as I can at work Enjoy your yummo dinner!]

*Hermione's face screws up. She's never been told that before! She smiles at his slightly boyish air and extends her hand.*

Hermione Lupin. Can I ask how you know Remus?

He wriggled. It was the only word that could describe the way his boddy twitched with pent up energy. "I met him last night!" he chattered excitedly. "He's the only other werewolf i've ever met and it was so exciting even though he kind of scared me he has that whole Alpha male thing going on, i wonder if i can be his Beta that would be so amazing and cool. OH you siad your last name was Lupin? Are you like, related to him or maybe you're his wife...? If so that would be so cool and explain why you smell like him so much i mean goodness i be ya'll have ya know, like lots. Oh man, is your belly poking out? Ohmagods you're pregnant? That's so awesome! I love babies but they don't like me much i think it's the wolf thing ya know? All grrr i are wolfy. I howl and go bump in the night and eat cute little innocent bunny rabbits." He looked up at her with wide, innocent child's eyes even though he was a 6th year.

*Hermione blinks, a little taken aback by this person with his puppyish antics and complete and utter open nature about his wolfishness.*

Uh, yeah, hi! I am his wife, and you're really friendly... and open. Can I give you some advice? Not everyone is as cool with the wolf thing as I am, you might want to watch who you share with. So... what's your name?

Raksha grimaced his puppy grimace. "Yeha, Remus warned me. But you're okay because you smell like Remus. And Remus is my Alpha, i think so if it's Remus it's okay. And I'm Raksha, which means Demon." He grinned at her with his bright white teeth. "You smell nice. My da says, with dsgust i might add, that i'm too puppyish to be a proper Wolf. Oh well i like being a puppy."

*Hermione grins, then blushes because he said she smells nice.*

I like your being a puppy, too, Raksha. And, um, thanks, I guess. Nice to know I don't stink...

*She brightens up as curious-Hermione-who-likes-to-ask-a-million-questions wakes up.*

So, what do you mean by Remus being your Alpha? He's never met another wolf before so neither of us really understand much about how wolves interact. Wait - you mentioned your father, right? Is he a wolf too? Is it....?

*Swallowing, her hand comes up to rest protectively over her tummy. Her voice shakes a little as she asks her next question.*

Is it genetic? Were you born a werewolf?

"Well, it's kind of a wolf instinct i think. He's like, the top wolf around here, i can smell it everywhere. This is his territory, soooo unless i challenge him, which won't happen, he's gonna be my leader." Raksha wriggled. "No, I wasn't born this way." he sobered. "Our village was attacked by the same group that runs with Fenrir. It might as well be genetic though, my whole family is bent on the idea of the physical superiorty you have as a Wolf." he did his puppy-ick face.

*Hermione is struck with the urge to reach out and run a hand down his back, like she would a puppy, but she restrains it. Her face grows grave as she listens to him speak. She supposes it makes sense, his deference to Remus, especially given that he seems a little younger, but it hardly seems worth commenting on when she hears the rest of his story.*

Fenrir? Greyback, is that right? I've heard of him....

*A little shudder ripples through her, her hand still pressing against the baby. She can't even imagine what would happen if someone came for her child that way...*

What do you - *she breaks off with a startled gasp* - You mean, your family... on purpose?

[Tristan Raksha]

He growled a little bit. "Yeah, Fenrir. May the gods strikle him down and send him to the hottest depths of Hell. And yeah, on purpose." he looked down at his hands. "It's like they were meant to be wolves like some weird shapeshifting tribe of idiots. All the males are werewolves and the femals all have wolf animagus forms or soemthing close to a wolf. Something bloodthirsty." he shivered.

*This time she does put her hand on his back lightly, hoping to comfort him or at least calm him down a little.*

I'm sorry. But you're here now, right? You have a chance to change things? Break the cycle...

He shrugged, wilted like a puppy that had just gotten reprimanded [i love my puppy references]. "Yeah. I'm never going to have kids...I don't want that for anyone." he pu a hand on her belly. "My mum sits in her room and cries all day. She really needs to be in St. Mungos but da won't do it. I'm glad Remus and his baby is gonna have a mum that accepts them..and to keep Remus grounded."

[I love your puppy references too! *dies of cuteness*]

*Hermione's a little startled when he puts his hand on her belly - outside of the Hospital Wing, nobody except for her and Remus had actually touched the baby bump before. She pats his back a little more.*

I'm sorry about your mother. It must be hard on you both. Remus and the Cub will always have me - they're my family and I'll love them no matter what happens.

*The baby kicks against Raksha's hand and she smiles. He'd said babies didn't like him, but she'd beg to differ with her cub.*

I think he likes you.

"That or he's trying to get away." Rashka backed up. "I need to go...I'll see you later Hermione." he waved and slunk off, shoulders stooped and all sad puppy looking.

*Hermione frowns as she watches him go, looking for all the world like a kicked puppy. She half expects to see a tail drooping between his legs. She wonders what she said or did that was over the line to upset him so much. She sighs.*

*She waits until he's out of sight before struggling to her feet and heading back to the castle.*

Viktor walks over to a place that is perfect for a picnic while holding Regulus' hand. He sits down in the grass with him and the basket and kisses him softly on the lips. "Are you ready to eat today?"

Regulus smiles a little, and sighs resignedly. "I guess now is as good as any time," he replied, blushing at the kiss- he's still scared about being so open about all of this.

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

Viktor smiles and pulls the basket closer to them. He opens it and pulls out various fruits. He takes a grape in his fingers and offers it to Regulus. "I'm assuming you need me to feed you," he says with his sexy smirk.

Regulus rolls his eyes and blushes slightly, but smiles at him. "Maybe," he said with a shy smile, still feeling rather paranoid at the moment.
