Tam walked down to this lovely field in a pair of daisy duke shorts and a bikini top, intent on getting a good tan. Settling her picnic basket down she unfurled a blanket and lay down, relaxing in the sun.

Peter walks in, and, seeing Tam, goes over to her.

"Hey beautiful," he says, sitting in the grass beside her.

Tam looked over at him and smiled, "Hey darling" She rolled over slightly and stuck her arm into the basket pulling out an apple. Munching on it she lay back down (because you can eat apples lying down... I've done it before).

"How was your night?" She looked gorgeous in what little clothing she was wearing, and he smiled as he looked down at her.

"Sound thrilling," he told her, eyeing her apple. After a moment, he reached out and grabbed it, taking a bite and then handing it back to her. "thanks," he said, chuckling.

Tam giggled as he took her apple, "No problem love... I have other food in the basket if you want some" She reached out and gently touched his knee.

He peers into the basket, taking out a roll and biting into it. "I am a teenage boy after all," he tells her, smiling, and kissing her because maybe this time Tam'll remember her boyfriend.

Tam really does remember Peter and love him a lot so she kisses him and so she sits up and pulls out two new rolls and makes them sammiches. "There you go darling"

He takes a bite of his sandwich, leaning up against Tam's legs. "You know," he says, looking her up and down, "That bathing suit really does look beautiful on you, love," he says, trailing a hand listlessly along her leg because Tam obviously wants Rachel to comment on the sexy picture she sent her.

He doesn't take his eyes off her as he takes off his shirt, lying down next to her, her hand sending tingles up her arm.

"You're right," he says, grinning, all too aware of how long it had been since they had, well, been together, "Feels like summer for the first time this year."

"Time has passed so weirdly this year," he told her, intertwining their fingers together, trailing his index finger lightly across the palm of her hand.

He pulled away from her, but only a few inches. "Me too," he says, and then leans in again, catching her lips on his, and sliding his tongue into her mouth, running his hand through her hair. This was still okay, wasn't it?

She smiled into the kiss and slid an arm over his waist. Gently she kissed him back, enjoying the lazy kisses in the sun. This was how every day should be.

This feeling brought back so many memories--it was so familiar, and yet, they done this for too long. They hadn't done anything for too long. He rolls gently on top of her, her back pressing into the towel she was lying on, and he smiles into the kiss, feeling the sun on his own bare back.

Tam slid her hands up his back, resting them on his shoulders. They fit so well together, better than she did with anyone else. Kissing him again erased all her doubts about their relationship... all the fights seemed to melt away.

His tongue still exploring the inside of her mouth, Peter brings his hand to her back, rubbing circles on her shoulders. He pulls out of their kiss to whisper in her ear, "I missed you," and then he kisses her again.

Tam beamed at his words, after he kissed her again she gently pulled back and nestled her face into his sun-warmed shoulder dropping little open-mouthed kisses on it.

*Hermione wanders down to the little clearing, half hoping to see Tam but in reality Lenore is waiting for Joel to show up whenever. She lowers herself gingerly to the ground, folding her legs awkwardly under her.*
