*Remus and Hermione and the cub are here, because I said so. It's a lovely day and they're laid out together on a nice soft blanket, having cuddles and cutesyness etc. etc.*

*Hermione stretches out like a cat in the sun.*

Mmm - this is nice. Hey, have you seen Dean since he's been back?

Remus smiled and nodded, remembering the last time he'd seen his brother. "Yeah, I saw him almost just as soon as he'd gotten back. I told him off, threatened him with a letter to mum if he ever did that again, and then we talked a bit. But I'm really glad he's doing better. I was worried about him."

*Hermione nods and makes the quick decision not to wonder if Remus has written to his mother about Kiora's birth because she really wants to avoid that particular visit.... yeah. She puts one of her fingers in Kiora's little hand as she talks, curious to see if the baby will grab hold of it.*

Yeah, I've seen him too. He seems better, which is really great. Well, except for one thing. Did you hear what happened with George and Ange? He cheated on her with Se - er... someone, another boy and Dean and George have gotten into a few scrapes over it, and it got worse when Ange decided to take George back...

*She keeps her eyes on Kiora as she speaks, because it's awkward to talk about this storyline. And why is that? Oh yeah, Remione went there first. Angeorge is so strapped for cuteness ideas they've resorted to rehashing old plots. HAHA -points and laughs- *

"George cheated on her? With who?" Remus finds the topic awkward already, cause he's already made that stupid mistake himself...and the drama llamas involved were not pleasant. "And George and Dean are fighting...well, Dean is friends with Ange... How bad has it gotten?"

*She mumbles, because she doesn't want to say it out loud and figures he'll hear it anyway. Then she plows right on in the hopes of bullying that little piece of awkward into submission.*

It's not good, from what I understand - there's been a couple of fist fights, and apparently Dean threw the engagement ring George had spent all his savings on into the lake, because I guess George had been thinking of proposing before everything all blew up... and of course Ange has sided with George, so I think Dean very much misses his best friend now. Also-I-was-a-bitch-to-George-before-and-it-was-probably-out-of-line-but-I-don't-really-care-because-his-attitude-disgusts-me.

Remus is glad he isn't eating something because he'd probably choke, he does make a sort of choking sound anyway. He bites his lip and figures it's probably better off not saying anything about Severus, especially with a situation like this.
"Wow...they really have been having problems. Isn't there anything that can be done about it?" He didn't know all the details so it was hard to make a call on what to do. "What happened that caused you to get annoyed with George?" Poor George, bitch-mode Hermione wasn't fun to deal with at all.

[sorry, i had to get some food. tummy was threatening to wake up the whole house. haha]

[*ended up ordering pizza and is waiting impatiently*]

*Hermione bites her lip and glances up into Remus' eyes, shrugging in a slightly moody way as if to say she knows she should've kept her thoughts to herself, but she just didn't want to. Her gaze is drawn back downwards as she feels the slight pressure of Kiora's hand trying to close around her index finger, causing her to smile a little, despite the conversation topic.*

I guess they'll just have to take some time to cool off, and then maybe they'll be able to talk it over more rationally. I hope Ange and Dean can be friends again, they were so close. I doubt he and George will ever really be friends again though, not after all that. And I guess I just didn't like the way George was acting - as if Dean and everyone else has no right to be upset by it. I mean, sure, it's Ange's business as to whether she wants to forgive him or not, but it's hard seeing someone you care about hurt. I certainly don't blame Dean for still being angry at him....

*Privately, she thinks George is lucky that it was Dean who got his hands on that ring, because if it had been Hermione, it was likely to have ended up somewhere far more unsavoury than in the Giant Squid.*

[all the awkward sea animals that left Golly have made their way over here... GO AWAY AWKWARD SEA ANIMALS! *flails*]

"Hmm, I guess I can't really blame Dean either for being angry about it." AWKWARD. MOMENTS. Some part of him wonders how Ange could have forgiven George, mostly because that's the same part of him that still wonders how Hermione could ever have forgiven him for his involvement with Snape. But right now we must push PAST the awkwardness....yeah. "Well, I certainly hope Ange and Dean can be friends again too."

*Hermione smiles a slightly strained smile and leans over to kiss Kiora's hand as it squeezes her finger.*

You're a clever little girl. Yes, you are. Yes, you are!

*Then she decides that awkward sea animals have no place at all in this lovely little family bonding scene, and dispels them with a seamless segue.*

So, speaking of being friends again... Sirius and I called a truce. A real one, I mean. With apologies and baby gifts and the works!

Remus watches the two and smiles, because it really is a perfect scene. He's glad for a topic change, because those awkward sea animals were drowning the lovely little family bonding scene. He's even more glad when he hears what she says. "Really? That's great!" Happy wolfy! Cause he really just wanted everyone to get along. yep yep yep! "How's he doing then? I haven't seen him since he's been back."

*Hermione smiles up at Remus, as happy to have made him happy as she is to have one of her best friends back. She wishes she'd known what to do or say to get to this point weeks ago, she thinks, as she stretches up to give him a kiss.*

He's ok, I think. I mean, he seemed a little down when I first ran into him, but I guess he's had a long few days. Thank Merlin Regulus is well on the mend. Sirius perked right up as soon as he got his hands on Kiora, of course, and before I knew it I was surrounded by presents for her. Oh you should see what he got for her - you'll die, it's all so perfect! Of course, he went completely overboard!

"I think it'd be good if those two made up...not become the best of friends or anything, but it'd be good, I think, if Sirius had at least one of his family members he wasn't completely at odds with." Not that that would ever be easy. There was just too much difference in the way they both thought. But still, it'd be nice. Family was important after all. Remus smiled down at Kiora and took hold gently of her tiny hand. "So what did Uncle Sirius get for you, baby girl?"

*Hermione smiles sadly, because that would be nice, if it could ever happen.*

*She giggles slightly.*

I think Regulus is afraid of me.... I may or may not have force fed him within ten minutes of meeting him. I can't help it! I have parental instincts, and the boy needed to eat!

*She kisses Remus' forehead, watching him and Kiora with an almost awestruck expression. Yes, family was important. And this was hers, and she would do anything for them.*

Uncle Sirius spoiled you, didn't he baby girl? What did you get, hmm? You got a leather jacket, and a quidditch mobile, and a book of fairy tales, didn't you? Ooh, you're going to have so much fun when you get nice and big and can unwrap your presents for yourself, won't you baby?

[haha :3 I need to go back to Sea World... I've only been there once, I miss it. *flails*]

Remus chuckled. "Well, if he hasn't been eating then it's okay, right? Hopefully he eats more now, Viktor will get him to eat too." He laughed when he heard that Sirius had actually gotten Kiora a leather jacket. "Sirius really got her a leather jacket? Oh geez...I hope he doesn't think he'll get to take her on that bike of his anytime soon. Not going to happen." The Quidditch mobile sounded cute and all...but he's Remus. He doesn't really care as much for Quidditch. But the book interests him of course. "What was the book?"

[Sea World here is up where PPan lives - 12 hours drive, so I haven't been since I was 13. Besides, they don't have whales, which is what I really wanna see. But then, that makes me happy, because whales are too big for captivity anyway, and Free Willy makes me cry.]

*Hermione grimaces a little.*

Well he did test the friendship a little with his jokes about taking her out on it this summer, and I hope he knows that's never going to happen in this sane lifetime! It is a beautiful little jacket though, and he even got her name embroidered on it. The book is, um...

*She screws up her face, thinking, because the name was kind of odd and wholly unfamiliar to her.*

The Tales of Beedle the Bard... or something like that? He said he got it because as a Muggleborn I'd not have read them, and he swears they're better than the fairy tales I grew up with.... I should make him watch Disney movies with us all summer and see if he changes his tune!

Kiora is definitely not getting on that bike for a long time...very long time. So long they all may be dead before he'd agree to it. Then it wouldn't matter of course.
He laughed when he heard the book title. "He got her those tales? Awesome! I've read them myself loads of times. You definitely have to read them." He smiled down at Kiora. "You'll love them, baby girl. They're very interesting." He's also pretty sure they're much better than those Disney movies/stories. Especially that Beauty and the Beast one. That one sucks. He didn't like it one bit.

*Hermione is going to make Remus watch Beauty and the Beast until he loves it. Or at least until he can sing all the songs with her. And then they'll move on to the Little Mermaid. She smiles, leaning in to kiss Kiora's tummy, blowing a soft raspberry on it.*

I'll be sure to read them as soon as I get the chance. And I'm sure Kiora can't wait to hear about something besides advanced Transfiguration theories, or whatever Dickens book I pulled off your bookshelf. Why do you even have Dickens, honey, I thought you didn't like him?

Remus refuses to sing those songs. Some of them may even piss him off. Like the mob song. This is bringing back ze awkward sea animals...and some possible tactlessness in Hermione.
He shrugs at her comment about the Dickens book. "I have no idea. I think it just sort of got packed with all my stuff, so I just put it on the shelf. It hasn't been touched in ages, well, except for when you pulled it off the shelf." The OCD part of him wonders if she put it back right...

*Hermione doesn't want to bring back the awkward sea animals, which are very happy and well cared for at Sea World, where they get a lot of attention. So she doesn't mention that she actually hasn't put the book back yet, because Sirius distracted her when she went in to do just that. But she promises to put it back properly before she leaves. Yes she does. And she might even fast forward the entire mob song, because she finds it totally barbaric herself. And she's even reconsidering the singing bit. At least until they get to the Little Mermaid and Aladdin.*


Hmm.... that's fair enough, I suppose. I always just put all my books in without really distinguishing between them too, so I can understand that.

*She's glad for that habit this year, even though it tends to make her trunk ridiculously heavy, because she's never going back to her parents ever again, and she'd be sad if she'd lost any of her book collection.*

Remus shoves the thoughts of Disney movies and singing out of his head. Because he really doesn't care for the awkward sea animals to come back. That would mean they had to leave their home in Sea World. And they probably like it there.
He leans over and kisses her because, honestly, this book thing? They are totally meant to be. Like, there is no way Remione could not happen if Hermione and Remus were from the same era. Remione is the best, and that's the way it is. *kicks Won Won, who really doesn't deserve her*

*Hermione kisses Remus back, secure in the knowledge that they belong together and she can certainly do much better than some gangly, ginger git who treats her terribly. That's why she has Remus, who loves her and books, too, and knows how to call off the awkward sea animals when she says something tactless and she's totally forgotten about the singing already... She pulls away long enough to run a feather-light hand over Kiora's head, then goes back to kissing Remus, her hand resting over his heart.*

Remus smiled, also happy to know that even in their next life *cough* they will always love each other. Because there is no stopping this. No matter what happens. This is for realz. And what's that about singing? He has no idea what she's thinking about. They never discussed singing, nope. Not at all. How silly.
"I love you too." He continued kissing her, resting one hand on her waist and tangling the other in her hair.
