Regulus stops fuming and has to restrain himself from punching Gellert for looking so damn happy. It should be illegal for someone to be this happy when Regulus is so obviously NOT HAPPY. "Viktor," he said, fuming.

Gellert's face quickly changed from happy to angry. "Jesus fucking Christ," he said, through clenched teeth, "I warned you? What happened? Are you alright? Is someone dead?"

"What? No, nobody's dead," he said, looking at Gellert like he was mad. "He found out about me smoking, and he's making me quit. So I'm not happy, clearly," he said, pelting another box at the floor.

"Oh," he said, shortly. This hadn't been what he had expected. But Gellert was sure that it had some darker meaning, besides the obvious one--being that he cared about Reg's health. Even if it was only to make sure that he wasn't happy. Gellert wouldn't have doubted it if somebody told him that Krum's goal in life was to make everyone unhappy. "Well that's fucked up. You can do what you want."

Regulus frowned, and looked up at Gellert. "I said I'd stop. I didn't want him to go. He's only doing it because he cares about me," he mumbled, staring at the floor. "Doesn't mean I like it, though."

He hesitated. "Do you--I mean--are you glad that you have an excuse? To quit, I mean? Or would you have kept with it if nobody told you not to?"

"Are you kidding? I still don't want to stop. I'm only stopping because I don't want to lose him," he said sadly, looking up at Gellert. "And it's not exactly easy to hide. He almost found out one time because he smelled the smoke on my clothes," he added.

He bit his lip. He knew just the solution to Reg's problem, and he could give it to him, but that would entail admitting what he was doing. And it wasn't as if he wanted to help Reg with his relationship with Krum...

"Did he, like, see you smoking or something?" He asked, mostly to fill the time while he decided what to do.

"Yeah. He found me on the pitch smoking, when I was all upset about stuff," he said, staring at Gellert.

He walked over to his bed, and rummaged under his pillow, holding the little plastic bag tight in his fist. "I think I can help you."

"How?" he asked, looking confused.

He held up the bag, and shook it up and down, the pills rustling against each other. "Drugs." he said, quietly, and then, "No, that sounds bad. But when you take them, it's better than smoking. And no one can really tell." He didn't look at Reg. He looked at a little bug crawling around in the opposite corner of the dorm, waiting for his response.

Regulus stared at the bag, looking apprehensive. "What.. what do they do?" he asked, taking a step forward to get a better look at them.

"They just--make you happy. Make you float. Make you not care." He smiles, "They--I dunno--they make you feel all...free...make the world not worth a fuck, make you want to touch people," he lowers his voice, "Makes sex about a million times better." He grins, a little nervously. "They just, I dunno, make you live in the moment and forget everything else."

Regulus paused, his eyes flickering between Gellert and his baggie of pills. Finally, a small smile crept onto his face. Make you happy. Make you not care. Forget everything else. That sounded damn good right about now. "Where'd you get those?" he asked, intrigued.

Regulus grinned. "I'm sure you do. So, I guess that explains why you didn't seem too bothered by my smoking," he said, fiddling with an empty carton to keep his fingers busy.

Reg stared, still not sure what he wanted to do. But I mean, if I take them, it doesn't mean I have to use them, right? It's just an option. "I guess I'll take them, then," he said, holding out his hand. "Er, thanks, Gellert," he said awkwardly.

He handed them over. "Use them wisely," he said, grinning. "I'm gonna take a walk. I'll see you around, Reg." He gets up and leaves the dormitory.

Regulus returned his grin and waved goodbye, staring at the bag in his hand. No, he wouldn't use them, not tonight, anyway. He was still cranky and irritable, but he'd just have to deal for now. He shoves the baggie of pills in his bag, and climbs into bed. Stop. Focus on happy thoughts, not cigarettes or pills. Happy thoughts. Like Viktor saying he loves you. That's a happy thought. He loves me, and I love him. We're going to work out, we're going to be together forever, we're going to be okay. He falls asleep on that note.
