Gellert looked down at Regulus, suddenly disgusted - maybe with the other, maybe with himself. He was a hypocrite for telling him this, for having the conversation in the first place - he believed his own words, but only because he himself was a good actor. "You said it yourself, Regulus, just now. You said that you were nothing without him, and so when it's over, when it's finished, when he finds out about what you've done, when you find out about what he's done - what will you be? If hurting him is the worst sin in the world, then you live through him, and what will you do when he's gone? If you've given your heart to someone else, yes, you can live without a heart, but once your mind, and your want, and your need - if all of that's together in one little package that you've presented to somebody else, well, that's when you have to realize that you have to create somebody to be you." He shook his head, looked into Regulus' silvery eyes. "Look at you," he said, quietly, "you've given your heart to Krum, and your body to a god."

The panic returned to Reg's eyes as he looked up at Gellert, his lips fixed in a pout. Would he leave, if he knew? Would he leave, if he heard how Regulus had begged for Gellert, how he'd degraded himself so much? Would he still want him? Or did forever mean forever, no matter what? Regulus bit down on his lip again, hard enough to pierce the skin, and a droplet of blood formed on his lower lip as he gazed into Gellert's blue eyes again. "It won't be over. It'll never be finished, he loves me. There's nothing that he's done that would ever upset me, and I've already told him everything," he said, his voice weak and shaky. "Almost everything. But he loves me too, Gellert. He won't leave me. So I don't have to worry then, right?" Regulus looked pitiful, curled up on the ground with his arms around himself- utterly pathetic, and naive. "Gellert- if I've given that all away- I can't get it back. What's left of me then? What am I? I don't know how to create somebody to be me, Gellert. I just know how to exist," he said softly, the steady small drops of blood dripping from his lip onto the ground.

Gellert's voice turned cold, watching Regulus there, curled up in a ball - pitiful, weak, he was almost disgusted, almost wanted to back away, to go back to Durmstrang, to get out of here - he wondered, for a moment, why he had even come to Hogwarts, and decided to dwell on that later. "What goes up must go down. It's like a high, isn't it - you know what that feels like - and one day you're gonna come back to earth. Love is fucked, and no, you don't have to worry, Regulus, worrying is just a time waster, so enjoy it or forget it, but don't lose yourself in the process." He runs his hand through his hair, leaning up against the bedpost. His eyes landed on Regulus' blood, and for the first time, an expression of pure surprise spreads across his face. "Finally, you're right. Look -- look at your blood. Even that isn't yours."

Regulus reaches up and wipes his lip off with his finger and looks at it, and his jaw drops in surprise. "What the- oh!" he cried out in surprise, looking around as if expecting to see Djinn himself, before realizing he probably wasn't around at the moment- or else he'd be seeing him. Maybe. If he wasn't hiding. "I didn't ask for that, Gellert. It was Djinn's choice to save me. To heal my body with his. To fuse us, so I'd live," he muttered, mostly to himself, and also adding silently that he wasn't worth it- Djinn didn't expect to come back. He finally pushes himself to his feet, and looks at Gellert with a stubborn expression. "You're wrong. Love might be fucked, but it won't go wrong- not with me and Viktor. I've seen the future. I was shown by a god. You are wrong," he said determinedly, then turned around to fiddle through his drawers for clean, dry clothing. He debates going to the bathroom to get dressed, but realizes it's pointless- it's not like it's anything Gellert hadn't seen in the past week and a half. With his back to Gellert, he strips off his wet clothing and pulls on the dry boxers, trying his hardest to ignore the other man. It was his dormitory, dammit. He had a right to get dressed there, even if he felt haunted by Gellert's eyes, the memory of his hands on his body sickening him.

Djinn floated around, just chillin in Reg's dorm room since he was a stalker and such. He fumed at Gellert and wished he had the power in him to run him through with a Morgul blade, since there was no king to use a random and trashy little herb and save him from certain death and spiritual corruption. He made a mental note to acquire one should he need it, even though it was technically crossing story lines, and the Witch-King was a simpering little bitch for Sauron and in general made Djinn's hair curl with distaste. Oh well, we do what we must. He lounged languidly, jsut waiting for Gellert to overstep the boundry...so he could rip him to pieces.

And I'm not gonna tell you that life is short - it's not - hell, it's the longest thing we've got, but opportunities, they pass you by, and you find yourself looking back wondering why you didn't jump on them at the time. That's the worst thing in the world - regret. The what if." He at Regulus, his eyes glued to his body as he undressed - he wondered if the other man was trying to tease him, and, with a twinge of uncertainty, wondered whether it was working.

Djinn lunged and went right through Gellert. "Oh damn. NOT FAIR. LEMME AT EM. LEMME AT EM IMA KILL EM. IMA KILL EM DADE LIKE WIFF A ROCK OR SUMMIN, YA KEN? DO YA KEN?! ACH, CRIVENS!1" and he ineffectually stabbed Gellert in the face, chest, and crotch repeatedly over and over again, wishing for that damn blade.

Regulus looked over his shoulder at Gellert as he finished dressing, the look in his eyes venomous. "I've already found out where some of those opportunities will lead me. I'm perfectly satisfied not knowing if I'd meet the same ends if I were to 'jump on them' again. I won't lie and say that I entirely regret it now, but I would if I were to make that same mistake again, without a doubt," he said firmly, refusing to look Gellert in the eye as he spoke, and turning away from entirely to face the wall as he continued. "I don't care about your 'what ifs' anymore- I've tasted enough of it to know that anymore would be nothing less than one horrible, painful regret. I'm done with you." Without looking at Gellert, he climbed into his bed and rolled over to face him again. "Goodnight," he muttered, then turned to face the wall again, knowing sleep was hopeless at this point in time, but he had to at least try to get some semblance of rest- and get away from Gellert.

Because if I didn't help you, if I didn't ~~fuck you like an animal~~ have sex with you, then where would you have been? Overdosing all over the place. Crying all over the place. Probably jumping off towers. Maybe fucking somebody else - somebody who actually would have hurt if they knew that they were just a replacement." He eyed the other with disgust, slipping on his shoes and tucking the book under his arm. "And maybe you haven't learned this by now, but I'm not asking to have sex with you again. If I wanted to have sex with you I could just do it. You really think," he said, venomously, as Regulus deliberately faced the other way, "that at this point, you can be the one to decide the end of anything?" He let out a soft, cold laugh, and left Regulus - very alone - in the dormitory.

Gellert's last words quite literally sent a chill down his spine, and he wrapped the blankets more tightly around himself, his fear of Gellert fully reinvigorated. He lays awake much of the night, his thoughts haunted by the other man's words, the flashbacks of the moment's they'd shared in this very bed, the feel of his mouth, the pain he'd caused, the pleasure from the pain- and the reality that he would likely never escape Gellert Grindelwald, his body, his words, or his memory. Regulus was too far tainted, too far gone, too impure to ever deserve Viktor, or his love.

Djinn, of course disagreed vehemently with Reg's emo and woeful "i'm tainted! ohnoez!-flail-" thoughts, and so he floated around and tried to send calming vibes...he accidently caused Gellert's bed to bloom with invisible poison ivy (purely accidental, i assure you...not) as he sent out his calming thoughts. Maybe he needed to change the frequency or something...

Gellert enters the dormitory after his duel with Viktor, tossing his bloody shirt carelessly on the floor by his bed and walking over to the window, his back to the room, his head on the windowsill, his chest bloody and sweaty, his hair in his eyes, not turning around when he hears footsteps behind him.

Regulus walks into the room, not really paying attention and smiling to himself about Viktor and their future together, when he sees that the dormitory isn't empty- Gellert is there, and he's slightly bloodied up. He stands in the doorway tentatively, unsure whether or not to speak or to ignore him.

"Regulus." He says, out the window, but so that his voice carries through the dormitory, "I just had the most lovely encounter with the man that you - what was it - love." He turns around, expression blank, "Come here, let me tell you all about it."

Regulus turned pale, the tone of Gellert's voice making his skin crawl eerily. He slowly took a step forward, his eyes running over his slashed chest, a feeling of panic starting to rise- had something happened? Surely not, Viktor had said he'd stay away- but- "What are you talking about?" he asked coldly, his voice laden with anger, contempt, and fear.

Gellert smiles a smile that shows no hint of joy as his eyes run up and down Regulus' slim body, his head tilted slightly to the side. "Yes, we met in a dark corridor somewhere, and he," Gellert glances down at his bloody chest, "Came at me. Not exactly the same way that he...comes at you, though, I would have to say - and what could I do but return the favor? Why, I believe he's still in that corridor."
