Lorcan walked to a random tree on the grounds and sat down. He pulled out a book and tried to do his homework but found that he couldn't concentrate.

Lucy walks down to the lake, but decides that she isn't quite in the mood for sitting over there. She strolls over to one of the many trees in the area, which just so happens to have a person sitting beneath it, "Err- hi?" she says, not wanting to look like a complete creep.

Lucy shifted her weight from her heels to her toes, "Oh. I'm Lucy Weasley," she rolled her eyes as she said this, "I know. Another one. I hear that all the time." Luckily for me, I was not born with the stupid complexion and red hair that makes it obvious. She smiled, "It's nice to meet you though! What are you doing?"

"I was going for a walk. Hoping to meet new people, which generally never happens," she shrugged, "but I guess today I got lucky!" Her gaze fell upon the homework he was trying to do and she laughed, "Yeah. I'm never in the mood. My dad hates that about me, I can tell you that much."

Polly hoped the cool air was helping her face turn back to it's normal shade. She stopped by a tree and looked around. "I love ze grounds 'ere! So different from my uzzer school!" It didn't occur to her to let go of Gideon's arm yet.

Gideon paused. "Your other school? Which one was that?" He asked, as he bent down to sit on the grass. He shrugged his suit jacket off, and spread it on the ground, sitting on one side of it. "Here," he said, patting the other part of jacket invitingly. "That way you won't get your dress dirty. It's beautiful, by the way."

Polly could feel her face heating up again as she sat down, and she wondered if she thought about stuff, like homework, she wouldn't blush as much. Nope. Not gonna happen. Not while sitting next to this sexy guy. "And zank you, very much. You look quite handsome, if you don't mind me saying." She looked down, slightly embarrassed that she kept checking Gideon out.

"Beauxbatons? How interesting. Have you been here long?" She can't have been here long. She didn't even have a date to the prom, Gideon mused. "And no, I don't mind you saying that I'm handsome. Not at all. In fact it has been said often," he smirked, conveniently forgetting to mention that it was usually himself proclaiming his sexiness.

She shook her head. "Nope. I 'ave only been 'ere for a couple of weeks. Not long enough apparently to meet enough people." She shrugged then laughed at his comment about being called handsome. "I can imagine why! But I'm going to stop telling you how 'andsome you are, uzzerwise your 'ead is going to explode." Polly giggled.

"Well, we wouldn't want my head to explode, would we. First of all, it'd get all over your beautiful dress, and then you'd have to clean it up. Oh, and you'd have to live with the guilt about killing the amazing Gideon Prewett. Not to mention having to tell my brother," he joked with a good-natured smile. "And besides, you're quite gorgeous yourself. I'm sure anyone here would love to get to know you."

She giggled more as he joked. "My dress would be fine. Eet would be you I'd be worried about!" She blushed at his compliment and smiled brightly down at her hands that were in her lap. "Well, if ze people 'oo want to get to know me are like you, zen I wouldn't mind. Some people only pretend to be interested in getting to know you, when zey really are only interested in anuzzer zing. Eet is stupid. But you're nice, and I'd love to get to know you more myself." Face is back to Quaffle mode.

"You wouldn't be worried about your dress? Now, that's not like any girl I know," he smirked. "I wouldn't want to meet any people who are superficial like that; I've had good luck with that so far. Well, there are a few others around who are like me - well, they're not as devastatingly handsome as me. Mostly, they're in Gryffindor though, but I can introduce you if you'd like. And I'd like to get to know you better too," he added quickly, hoping she wouldn't notice that the great and amazing Gideon Prewett was actually getting nervous over a girl.

"I may be somewhat worried about ze dress...but not until later." She grinned. "I'd love to meet more people, and I'll 'ave to meet your brozzer sometime. Is 'is 'ead as big as yours?" She joked and ruffled his hair lightly. He was amazing, she was quite entranced. It was getting later but, she didn't want to leave. She just wanted to continue sitting here with Gideon and talk into the night.

"Oh well, good to see you have your priorities right!" He smiled. "And yes, his head is quite as big as mine, although maybe it's just his hair. He's pretty cool though, for a little brother." He stiffened slightly (and not JUST there) as she ruffled his hair. That feels nice... Wait, what am I doing? I am supposed to be impervious to the charms and wiles of all ladies. Gideon shrugged mentally, filing that thought away to deal with later. She was fantastic, this Polly. He hadn't even noticed how much time had passed as they sat there, just talking. "Hey, is Polly short for something?" He asked, suddenly.

"I'll 'ave to meet 'im zen." She mentally headdesked when he asked her if Polly was short for something. Why hadn't she just told him right off the bat? Oh well. "Polly's short for my whole first name, Apolline. And I zink eet is getting razzer late. I should be sleeping soon, I 'ave lots of homework to do tomorrow." She leaned close and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "Eet was very nice to talk to you, Gideon. I shall see you soon! Au Revoir!" She pulled herself up, careful not to step on her dress. She held her skirts up a bit as she skipped off happily, totally forgetting that he can still see her. Oh well, she was too happy to care how silly she may look right now.

"Umm... okay," Gideon murmured as Apolline skipped off. It didn't look like she had realised that he was watching her, but she looked so happy! Well, at least I can still make a beautiful girl happy. That's good. And she'd kissed me! Well, it's a start, he smirked mentally because he is Gideon Prewett and can do that.

He sat for a while, just looking out at the grounds, and thinking. After a while, he realised that he could barely feel his fingers - it was colder than he thought without his jacket on. He stood up, put his coat over his arm, and headed back up to the castle.

Dee walks over from the Hog's Head, still in her prom things. She transfigures it into some jeans and a tee, and no shoes, because in real life, I never wear shoes. Anyway, she leans against the tree, scarred for life because her cousin hit on her. Fur-eekkk-y. And totally Karen Smith like.

Fabian, in his dashing pink prom suit that he's too lazy to change out of, walks down to a random tree and sees Dee there. He doesn't know her, but smiles anyways. "Hey there," he says.
