Remus knew exactly what he meant since he knew James had overheard them talking the other day. "Well I'd rather you not try to knock any sense into me while I'm standing over here by the railing." He looked down at the ground below. "Anyways, it's not really up to you who I hang out with anyways right? Just because you don't like Sev doesn't mean I can't."

Remus tensed and crossed his arms glad he wasn't facing his friend. "That clearly is none of your business. You better leave him alone James and you tell Sirius to leave him alone as well. He has enough to deal with without having to deal with the crap you two give him. I'm sick of you two always being so mean to him. Just leave him alone." he really didn't want to yell at James, James was a good friend, but he was sick of those two hurting Sev all the time when Sev didn't deserve it. "Besides, I doubt Lily will be willing to give you a second chance if you keep bullying her friend."

"Okay, first of all, he really did deserve that. He beat up Sirius! And now he's taking advantage of you! He is a blight on the face of humanity and should be removed for our own good!" James was mostly confused as to why Remus even bothered with Snape. It made no sense to him.

He spun around angrily and punched James in the face, hearing a sickening crunch as he broke James's nose. "SHUT UP! CAN'T YOU EVER NOT SAY ANYTHING RUDE ABOUT HIM?! HE'S A LOT KINDER THAN YOU ARE HALF THE TIME. HE DOESN'T GO AROUND SAYING THINGS THAT MAKE PEOPLE FEEL WORTHLESS." He was shocked at how angry he was and the fact that he'd just punched one of his best friends in the face but even so...it felt good to hit something. He just hated the fact that he felt so terrible about it. "Fuck. I'm sorry James I didn't mean to break your nose..."
