Severus watched in horror as Remus left, taking with him all the happiness he had ever brought. How foolish I've been, to think even for a moment that I might truly be happy, might really be loved. He sank to his knees, crying for what seemed like a lifetime before finally managing to pull himself together enough to head back to the Slytherin common room. He needed to get some things together.
