Faye enters the common room and notices Scorpius. She wasn't going to avoid him, she decided, but wouldn't bring up Teddy and the confrontation in the dungeons.

[Scorpius Malfoy]

Scorpius' head snaps up when he hears someone enter the common room. He watches as Regulus rushes up to his dorm. "Surprise, surprise," he mumbles as Regulus leaves in his typical fashion. He then turns back to his book, but stops again when another person enters. "Hi," he greets with a small smile when he realizes that it's Faye.

She had turned to walk towards the Girls' Staircase after noticing that Scorpius was reading. She hadn't planned on disturbing him and figured maybe he wanted time to himself. She stopped when he recognized her and smiled, "Hi. I didn't mean to ruin your reading or anything..." She walked over and sat down in one of the chairs, "What have you been doing today?"

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"No, it's fine," he smiles. "I was just reading out of boredom. I haven't really done much today, just wandered the castle really. What about you?" he asks while closing the book and putting it on the table.

"I had a talk with Teddy and Regulus," Faye replied, hesitantly. She went through with it because it bothered her when Teddy had implied her potential dishonesty, "The subject matter is unimportant, really..." She sighed and leaned back in the chair, realizing that there wasn't much else to say about her day.

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Oh, right. In the dungeons?" he asks before he can stop himself. He realizes what he is implying after he says it; that he knows about their meetings. "Well, er, that's cool," he says trying to cover his slip up and then sitting up so that he wasn't sprawled out on the couch.

"Yeah, um, in the dungeons...." She looked at him, curiously. Did Teddy tell them where they met too? What has his problem! Her hands entwined with one another in her lap. She felt her nerves begin to act up, "I didn't know you knew where we met up..."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Yeah, well, Teddy and I sort of hung out yesterday day," he answers unable to look at her. He stares into the fire for a bit, then glances back at her to gauge her reaction. "Err, it sort of came up in conversation."

[Claire McCann]

"I kind of figured that out when you told me about Regulus yesterday..." Faye sighed and crossed her legs, feeling slightly stupid, "Teddy said something when I confronted him. I don't know what it means..."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Wait, you confronted him?" Scorpius asks a bit confused but decides to let it go for the time being. "Nevermind, what did he say?"

[Claire McCann]

"Yeah, I was a little angry that he made you think that something was happening between Regulus and me. It turned into this whole big fight," Faye tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, not understanding the sudden peak in interest, "He wouldn't tell me why he cared about telling you that. He told me I essentially lied to you. He said maybe we should actually try talking or something like that. He said he wasn't the only one who talked about me," She looked at Scorpius, concerned, "Implying that you said something about me."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Oh," Scorpius says, unsure of how to exactly to phrase his thoughts. The last thing he wanted to be was misinterpreted and to fight. All because of Teddy fucking Lupin. "Well, and don't take this the wrong way," he says hesitantly, "but when he and I were in the Room of Requirement and your name came up, I asked him what you were like. I mean, what you were like with other guys when I wasn't around," he admits honestly before glancing at her.

"Oh," Faye didn't think that was such a bad thing. Since she didn't have many girl friends, it only left the friendships she had with boys. Boys were easier to talk to and weren't catty like girls, "I'm different, but not every boy is my boyfriend. I'm not attracted to other guys, Scorp," She laughed and pulled her legs up onto the chair, holding them to her chest, "I don't want to know what he said in reply to that. It was probably lame, just like he was down in the dungeons."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Yeah, I know," he replies and thinks to Penny. She is the only girl that he recalls her ever really talking too. "I was just bit curious. And yes, his response was lame and not worth mentioning," he adds. He thinks back to Teddy saying that she was 'sarcastic and depressing' and can't help but think that Teddy lied. He looks over to Faye and can't help but wonder how Teddy had even come up with saying such things. Sure, there are moments when she is a bit reserved, but those moments seem to be occurring less and less.

"Yeah, well, Teddy's been acting weird lately. I don't understand why. Regulus said he did, but I don't know..." Faye scrunched her nose, thinking about it all to herself, "I wish that he wasn't hiding whatever it is he's hiding from me. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if he just told me, you know? He's acting like such a girl..." She groaned and let her head rest on the back cushion of the chair, "People suck sometimes, Scorp."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Yeah, they do," he immediately agrees. He sits for a moment, thinking on what Faye had said. From what he interprets, Teddy becoming weird around Faye must have occurred after the Room of Requirement episode. He glances at Faye and tries to see things from Teddy's perspective. It starts to become clear to him then. "Right," he mumbles after realizing why Teddy had blatantly lied to him and was hiding something from Faye. "Well, err, I guess you'll just have to keep things as normal as possible. Don't pester him about it," he suggests, unsure of what would happen if the truth came out.

Faye's hands gripped around her ankles and she swayed back and forth in the chair, thinking to herself. She froze when she glanced over at Scorpius and saw a change in his expression, "Hmm?" She asked, her heart now beating in her ears. There wasn't any explanation for Scorpius to look that way. Unless, he too, knew about Teddy and what was going on with him. It irked her that everyone around her was having these sudden realizations about Teddy and, yet, she couldn't have one, "I don't know if I can do that. Everyone around me seems to figure this out easily. Why can't I?"

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"It's easier for me to see it, because I know how guys work," he answers hesitantly. "I just, I wouldn't pester him if I were you. You don't want to make the bloke feel awkward or embarrassed around you."

[Claire McCann]

"Okay, really? What does Teddy have to embarrassed about?" Faye furrowed her brows and shook her head, "We're good friends and we smoke together in the dungeons. I've talked to him about things and we make jokes. He has nothing to hide from me, so why would be badgering him about this make him feel awkward?"

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"I...I don't know if it'd be a good idea to tell you," he replies while looking at her. "I mean, if he wanted you to know then he would have told you." He sits for a moment, then notices that the look that she is giving him; urging him to tell her. He sighs before saying, "Maybe Teddy knows that you guys are good friends. He probably feels like you have a lot in common. Maybe, he wants to be more than friends," he finally says.

"What?" Faye blinked multiple times and twitched slightly as she turned to stare down at the table, "No - Teddy? That's crazy! Impossible...He wouldn't like me that way. We've always just been friends. At least, I feel like we're really good friends. No - No way," She turned back to Scorpius, "You're kidding, right?" She smiled and laughed, but it wasn't a real laugh. The laugh was a hope that Scorpius would laugh along with her and then walk over and put his arm around her saying that he was kidding and he had, indeed, fooled her. In the back of her mind, she knew that this wasn't going to happen, "Oh, Merlin. Why didn't I notice this? I'm such an idiot."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"No, you're not," he disagrees immediately. He feels somewhat at ease with the situation, but cannot help but wonder what will happen once everything truly comes forth. "He just hides it all really well. Unless you want him to be more obvious about it," he suggests.

[Claire McCann]

"I wish he had been, then I would have at least known to back off and give him space," Faye groaned and collapsed against the cushion, "I am an idiot. You and Regulus both realized what he was hiding from me and I couldn't figure it out at all."

[Scorpius Malfoy]

"Guys view things differently then girls do," he counters. "We tend to be much more reserved with our emotions, that's why it was easy to recognize what he must be feeling. Just, try and keep things as normal as possible. I can't imagine what he would say or do if he knows that we all know."

"Probably avoid me which would suck," Faye sighed and rested her forehead on her knees, "Why do I seem to lose every friend I gain?"
