Faye entered the common room and lay down on one of the couches, bored.

Scorpius walks into the common room and notices Faye laying on the couch. He quietly moves over and then leans over the arm of the couch so that he is looking at her from an upside down view. He kisses her softly, before pulling away smiling and then moving to sit on the couch opposite her.

Faye had nearly fallen asleep on the couch; her eyelids drooping. She flinched slightly when someone bent over her, but calmed when she realized it was Scorpius. She kissed him back, happy to see him, before sitting up on the couch. She pulled her legs to her and smiled, "Haven't seen you all day. Again!" There was partial disappointment in her voice, but it was well-hidden.

"I know, we have really shitting timing with seeing each other," he says holding back a sigh. "I mean, this is better than nothing."

"Maybe the weekend will be better, who knows," Faye felt guilty. She should have tried to see him more. Now, they were stuck seeing each other in the nighttime with hardly any actual time to hang out with one another. They were confined to the lake and the common room, both they had used way too many times. She bit her lip and looked down at her lap, "I don't want to settle, though," She laughed, "I think if we settle, we'll be one of those bland couples."

"I completely agree. I don't mind mixing it up, trying to go to different places, role playing, anything you want," he says smiling. "But really, I'm sure this weekend will be better, now that we don't have classes in which the times don't match up very well."

"I don't want us to always have to wait til the weekend though," Faye laughed and looked towards the doorway. She wondered where Penny had run off to, "That just seems so.... routine."

Faye beamed at him, "I'm glad that you're willing to do that. Maybe sometimes I'll just ditch Herbology or Divination," Her hand moved over his for a moment, "I just, well," She paused, not wanting to sound stupid. She removed her hand and leaned back against the couch, whispering, " I just miss you is all." She blushed and turned her head away, feeling silly.

"First off, you are not skipping class to spend time with me. Not with your OWLs this year. Second, I miss you too," he admits looking at her. He then pulls his hand away from her knee and rests it on his own leg.

"Oh, now you're sounding like my parents would if they understood anything," Faye shook her head and sighed, "Fine. I guess I won't be skipping classes...." Her voice trailed off and she suddenly felt this weird presence. Yet, there wasn't anything there. This silence accompanied by nothing, but awkward feelings, was then called the 'awkward silence.' You may thank Faye and Scorp later.

Scorpius sits for a moment, unsure of what to say in response to her comment. He knows better than to push her, and wants her to open up to him on her own terms. Finally, he breaks the silence by admitting, "I kind of talked to Teddy today."

Faye's eyes widened in surprise at the mention of Teddy. She hadn't thought about him too much, but she remembered her talk with Reg. She didn't want to lose the guy as a friend. She bit her lip, uncertain of what to expect, "Oh. Um, how'd that go?"

"It was alright," he says and then lets out a sigh. "Actually not quite, he left in quite a huff. He well, he said that we must not have that great of a relationship if you're always running to him and Reg in the dungeons. How I'm probably not your first choice," he says glancing down, because that comment had gotten him the most. "Then how he wants nothing to do with me and my bitch of a girlfriend."
