*Hermione wanders along the edge of the Forbidden Forest, wiping angry tears from her eyes. She still can't understand how it got so bad with Tam, why she was doing all these things...*

Raksha came blundering down a path, breathing heavily and looking so terrified it was like all the forces of Hell were chasing him. He slowed when he caught scent of Mya and tried to calm down before she came across him. He was almsot perfectly composed when she came into view.

*Hermione hears something bounding through the trees and tenses, abandoning the tears on her face to reach for her wand. She lets out an audible sigh of relief when she sees Raksha break through the treeline. He looks only a tiny bit flustered, but she imagines that might happen when one goes romping through the Forest like an overexcited puppy. She smiles, but it looks more like a grimace.*

*Hermione's lips quirk a little at his puppyish antics. She kind of likes that he lets his playful and carefree side roam free, but it worries her to think that he'll slip, say the wrong thing in front of the wrong person, and find himself at the sharp end of the very worst the Wizarding world has to offer. Maybe it's just all the added hormones in her body right now, but she feels a little protective of him, like she wants to look after him... She shakes her head a little and looks away, staring into the trees.*

He crossed his arms and looked at her critically. "The only thing you can do about bad days is make them better. ~~Like play fetch, or roll in the dirt, or chew on a good chew toy.~~" He sounded really innocent and he knew it, but he couldn't help it. Innocent puppy was just what he was. "Wanna talk about it? I have very good ears."

I guess you do have pretty good ears, don't you? It's kind of a long story. I'd say 'sit down', but, uh, the standing up again part is getting harder and harder for me by the day, so...

*She smiles slightly again at his attentive nature - like a puppy waiting for the stick to be thrown and the game of fetch to begin. She leans against the trunk of the nearest tree, still weary of sitting on the ground because it makes her feel like a beached and awkward whale trying to get up again.*

It's my sister. Well, she's not really my sister but we were so close that we called each other twins. She was even Maid of Honour when I married Remus, and I'm godmother to her son... But she's changed - she pulled his ridiculous prank where she made a whole bunch of girls think that they were pregnant. It was really terrible - she did it to her own little sister and the poor kid was terrified. So I confronted her about it, and she just didn't care!

*She breaks off, too angry and upset to keep ranting, and looks away, shaking her head.*

"That's horrible!" he shook himself out. "That...how could someone do that? I'm so sorry Hermione." he jumped up and hugged her.

*Hermione squeaks a little when he hugs her - he's really quite strong and she's more accustomed to Remus, who makes a point of being less exuberant when he hugs her. But she hugs him back as hard as she can.*

Thanks. I just don't know what she's thinking - it's like she doesn't even care about anything anymore. Half the time I worry that she doesn't even know where her son is... It's like nothing and nobody matters to her anymore. I don't know what to do.

He patted her back like his mum used to when he was upset. "Sometimes people just shut down...and let whatever happens happen, and they don't think about how they hurt people when they do thing."

Yeah, I've met wolves from in there before. Remus says they're friendly, but I almost peed my pants...
